Round about...

Back again, on this nice and cool weathered Wednesday... i'm loving the chill in the air... nice and cozy... i'm excited to share with you this next creation... i love the way it turned out and can't wait to hang it up... i have to start on another since i have 2 darling girls i can't just make one of these... this creation is up for the following challenges:

1. Anyone for Anya - Getting round to it... the DT wants to see anything round on your creation... hmm, i think i have LOTS of that...

2. Inky Impressions Challenge - Create an ornament or add an ornament to your card/project

Inky Impression is also having a DT call that goes along with this challenge... go and check it out.... you can find all the information you need here...

with both of these challenges in mind, i've created a round ornament... =D

here's a full view of the whole ornament... i tried to take a pix outside, but with the wind, it was impossible to keep it still... my ornament base is a lid from a paint can that i used for some centerpieces... i kept the lids for an in case moment, which was this week... so using the lid, i added lace... cut out a circle from patterned paper to fit the base and then cut the image of Angel Anya (by TGF) slightly smaller to fit over the patterned paper... it looked really plain... so after tossing and turning embellies here and there, i said "self, why not use your oodles of dew drops?!" and there you have it... IRL, you can actually see the patterned paper through the dew drops... punched out some snowflakes and colored a few with copics... added stickles gg to give it a little sparkle... used pink organdy ribbon to hang the mini present ornaments (from walmart) and glued the snowflakes onto the ribbon... then finally, attached it the the back of the base...
this is a close up of the base... this pix was taken outside... only clear shot i got... you can tell by the lace that the wind was blowing... on a close look, Anya was colored with copics... cotton candy stickles was added to her bow complete with a small rhinstone... white fun flock was used on her wings for a soft textured feel... and tiara stickles was added to her halo... she looks so precious... hmmm, what do you think?! do you like this creation?? =D

i think ima hang her on our front door... the inside of course... a little Angel blessing before we head out the door... =D

Okie dokie, need to figure out what we're having for dinner... tomorrow's my friday since i requested a vacay day on Friday... you know what that means... i'll be up all night crafting tomorrow... maybe i'll be a crazy and go to the midnight showing of NEW MOON!!! LOL... but really, i do want to go... LOL...

Thanks for coming by today... i enjoy reading all your sweet comments that you leave... you are all appreciated and i can't thank you enough for all your support... just know that i'm VERY thankful for you.... HUGS!!!!
