Roarin' for your LOVE...

It was such a beautiful Sunday with family and friends!!! i really hate to see these days come to an end... unfortunately, we all know they do... but nonetheless, we had a fun fun time at the park, having a picnic with friends... good thing is all the kids ran wild and now mine are fast asleep... =D but mommy is tired too... LOL... Hope you all had a beautiful weekend doing whatever it is that you were doing!!

Today i share with you my card for MMSC#38 - Your choice sketch.... you know me by now... i LOVE playing along to these sketches... it's a real challenge to get it as similar to the sketches as it is detailed...
made this cutesy Valentine's day inspired card for DD#1's after school leader... used the lion from the Wild Things set available at TGF.... along with this fun and cute new DP that i picked up yesterday at the craft store... it was just the perfect match... also used some new heart buttons and flowers... what do you think of this vday sweetie?!?!

sorry to keep this so short... i'm so exhausted right now from a very long day... waking up to 5 police cars in front my house with 8 police officers and 2 undercovers spread out on the street... and then an interview by one of them... lots of pounding on doors and then all of sudden the door is taken off... Wow, we never have this kind of action in my neighborhood... Thank goodness it wasn't my house! =D apparently our neighbors aren't paying their rent and now they have issues with the law... very sad! well, that was just the beginning of my day... time for bed... Nighty-night friends! to be continued.....

Coach inspired handbag?!

Oh my! Happy Saturday!!! gosh i've missed you all the last couple of days... i ran out of mojo and just didn't have anything in me to create... but behold i'm back!!! haha! caught up on some much needed rest and now i'm ready to go go go.... Hope you all have been well!! haven't visited you all in a long time, i'm looking forward to see what you've been up to...

my project here today is for La La Land Challenge #23 - Gift Card Holder.... i haven't really done any so this was fun in the making... I found a tutorial on the net for a simple gift card holder/card (sorry forgot to save the site) and then i was looking for one of my gift cards to put inside for pictures... so i found a Coach giftcard that i received for Christmas and that inspired me to change up my project and turn it into a little handbag/card/gift card holder.... see!!
i thought this DP by American Crafts was the perfect to case a patterned "Coach" bag.. or any designer bag actually.... used some ribbon as handles and placed a strip of matching DP (from the inside) as a closure flap that i then covered up with a cutout of one of the Miss Dressy Anya girls... this stamp can be bought on the TGF website... then i noticed that some designer bags have their logo somewhere on the front of the bag so i tried to case that with the Love sentiment from the I Heart set that you can get from LPS....
here's the inside... the DP is again from American crafts... do you spy the Coach logo?! hehehe! haven't decided what i want to buy with it yet... i think i have to save a little bit more, okay a lot more, for the bag i've had my eyes on... ;D
i'm gonna switch out the gift card for another one, probably for a sweet treat and give this cutie to DD#1's teacher... i'm pretty happy with the way this came out and i hope you like it too!!! Thanks for coming by to share a few minutes with me... and thank you so very much for all your support and comments on my creations and random sharings... they mean so much to me and really keep me going.... Happy everything friends!!!!

CHA Relay 2 and 3....

Wow, Thursday's here! i really have my days a little mixed up... really wished it was Friday already! =D so i didn't get a chance to share with you digis 2 & 3 from the CHA relay so i'll do that today... Did you hear the news about the cancellation of the relay?! what a bummer!! that was lots of fun, and it was nice seeing mounds of participation... but totally understandable on why they did that...

Hope you all are having a fantastic week so far... we're just a day away from the weekend... so like me, just hang in there... don't forget to check out my DT post from yesterday... click on the links above and it will take you to our current challenges... okie dokie... let's get going...
Day 2 - Charlotte digi... OMGosh, she's adorable... LOVE her outfit and her hair... she's got lots of style!!
Day 3 - Toby Cub.... now this critter is super CUTE.... LOVE Toby and his gleeful smiles... i used some baby boy paper from Imaginsce to make this card but didn't add a sentiment yet... not sure if this will be a birthday or baby shower card...

both cards are using scraps of DP and CS... i really have to learn how to use them up since they are overflowing my basket... that's one of my "crafting" goals this year... i think i can do that... =D

hopefully i'll be back soon with another creation.... it's been cold and rainy here since yesterday and i didn't have a mojo to create anything last night... got to rest up but i'm still exhausted... not enough time in a day to complete all that i'd like to... and on top of that, i'm car-less which is leaving me so sad... i feel lost not being able to transport myself to and from work... but because of a little fender bender on Monday, it left my bumper with a few scratches and the screw holding my bumper to the frame ripped and popped it out... luckily i was able to get an appointment with the auto body shop and should be getting my car back today... i'm crossing my fingers! Thanks to the person that hit me for a speedy claim and immediately paying for the damages... okay, enough about my sad story... just thankful no one got hurt when it occured... alrighty... i end it at this... Hope everyone has a wonderful day and i'll talk to you soon!!! Hugs!

Anya flutters a recipe...

Hey , Hey! It's Monday!!! i said yesterday that i'd be back to show you my card for CA&F Monday Mania's challenge last week given by Jen Shults! she challenge a recipe of yummy goodness... use the colors pink, olive and dark brown and add sparkle.... sounds like a sweet recipe to me...
here's my card... i used Flutter Anya, available at TGF... she's always very pretty to sparkle up... got to use some scraps on this lovely.... most of the DPs are from the Garden Party Stack by DCWV... the green bg is DP by S.E.I... it's a pretty soft shimmery green DP... can't see it in the pix but IRL you can...

i'll keep this short and sweet... had a very busy and some what unpleasant day, and i'm so exhausted right now... can barely think... =D Thank you all for leaving such awesome comments on my posts... they always bring smiles to me... i haven't had much time to visit your blogs and see your beautiful creations but i will soon... i've got a lot of catching up to do... so until tomorrow, be thankful for what we have!! Hugs!!

Playing among the waves....

Happy Beautiful Sunday Friends!!! can't believe it's the end of the weekend already... it was such a beautiful day here... and it was even more beautiful because it was family day... started off with a few house chores and then to the park playground.... finished with some time at the beach.... enough time to see this beauty.....
sealed with a kiss, nothing like watching the sunset.... here is the sun over the island Kahoolawe... beautiful Maui sunset from the south shore of our island... it was so nice... the ocean was very calm which brought relaxation... spent it with my DH, DDs and some close friends.... beautiful way to end the weekend don't yah think?! this is the perfect introduction to some awesome and fabulous news....

CHA Relay happening at TGF begins today!!!! Yay!!! if you have no clue what i'm talking about, i suggest you go here to find out... if at all possible, you don't want to miss this fantastic opportunity.... it's free digis for those that continue onto the next round and look at the first digi TGF gave us to play with.....
Mer Ian!!!!!! OMGoodies!!! now Mermaid Anya finally has her match.... okay, so some of you know that Little Mermaid is my ALL TIME fav Disney movie.... (yah i thought i could be a mermaid when i was little, HA!) and i always wondered why they never did one with Prince Eric becoming a Merman.... i think he'd be so handsome.... but that's okay because this handsome Ian surely filled that spot... immediately i knew this card would b paired with Anya... of course! i bought this waves glittered DP a week ago for an in case moment... and that moment is now... when i first saw the digi, i just knew what i was going to create... so this is my first attempt at a staircase card... which was pretty simple to make and i did a little alteration of my own to it... i added another 4.25x5.5 backing to the last stair... so when folded, it's a complete card... nothing like playing beach ball among the waves... do you care to join them in all their fun?!? this card was lots of fun for me... i enjoyed putting this one together... and i hope you like it too!
that's it for me today (or should i say night)... i'll be back tomorrow with a Monday Mania card from last week's challenge over at CA&F... ugh, we got back kinda late from the beach and it's already 10pm my time... not sure if i'll head into the craft room.... i'm a bit exhausted... but i am happy to report that except for when you grab my arm really hard, the pain acutally subdued... and i can now lift my arm above my head... LOL... day off tomorrow, with a busy morning schedule, hoping for a little craft time in the afternoon... so maybe i'll have a few to share tomorrow as well! until then, have a wonderful new week and stay tuned! Hugs!!

January OCS and organizing RIBBON!

I'm back again... Wow, another 2 post in one day... i just might have one more to share with you later... if you haven't already, please scroll down for a few crafty post....
look at this BEAUTIFUL card from my January OCS partner Evie! she used alot of my FAVE things... the color blue, asian inspired stamps and glitter... WOW! Thank you Evie!!! i just LOVE this card... click on the picture to make it larger so you can see the gorgeous cherry blossom embossing that she tinted with pink and glitter... Oh my! Thank you so very much for this lovely card! i'm so sorry but this month was one of those months that i'm being forgetful... i forgot to take a picture of the card i made for her... =( i was such in a rush to get it to her that it just slipped my mind... sorry!
my family is always laughing at me that my ribbon stash is so messy... LOL... really it is... i have my seasonal ribbons in it's own container but i keep my everyday useful ones in a cardboard box... and it's just a MESS! so my uncle surprised me with this awesome and SO useful ribbon holder... he's awesome with woodwork and has made many things for us... down to DD#1's bed frame with wheels, some play furniture for the kids Barbie dolls, i'm mean almost anything... So i was very thrilled to receive this for my craft things... LOL, i asked if the next thing he could make me is a nice BIG desk... hahaha!!! dream on Kris! i didn't fully organize it as i was just filled with excitement and slid spools on it to show you.... was this made me sooo happy.... very convenient, and i'm able to switch out spools and add new ones and so forth... Love it!!
Alright! time for me to get my groove on in the craft room... a few cards i want to get working on with lots of time to play tonight... Yippee!!! got my chores done, the house some what cleaned (LOL) and lots of rest this afternoon so Yay for playtime!!! Talk to you all soon!!

Pink Passion....

The weekend surely flies by when you're having fun! wow, it's Saturday already... why can't the work week fly by as fast?! LOL... Hope you all are having a fabulous weekend... despite my sore arm, i'm still enjoying myself... the pain isn't there if you don't think about it... haha! actually got my Dad to massage my arm for me and it just brought me to tears, it was soooo SORE! so i'll probably show a little bruising but it feels better... not 100% but better than yesterday...

i have yet another creation for you today... please excuse the horrible lighting in the pictures... yikes! this card is up for these challenges:

1. Anyone for Anya?! - Black & White + 1 ~ 1 other color that is... can you guess what i chose?!
2. DCRU #22 - Sketch ~ a great sketch to play with too...
3. LLWWC #22 - Fancy Folds Cards ~ i chose to do a gate fold
4. C4C21 - Pretty in Pink ~ does that say it all... =D

like i said i did a gate fold card... i think i've only made one before this... but it's something different right?! the colors i chose to use are black, white and PINK! i did the front of the card using the sketch DCRU #22... which was a bit of a challenge but worked out perfectly with the gate fold... lots of layers and matting on here... i used 4 different ribbons and punched out some flowers that i layered and added a rhinestone middle... the sentiment is from that Butterfly Wishes set from TGF... and this pretty paper is from Bo Bunny...
here's the inside... used one of the girls from the Miss Anya Love set... newly released and also from TGF... used stickles on the what parts of the image and use my copic multiliners to colors in the black parts... rhinestones are the centers of her flowers... i was very tempted to fancy up the panels in the inside too... but decided not to or else i wouldn't be able to close the card...

Hope you like what you see here... it was lots of fun in the making... Thank you for taking some time to visit me... i just want you all to know that i appreciate you stopping by and leaving such wonderful comments.... i hope i can inspire you just enough to maybe make you want to join in on a challenge or 2... i'll be back later with an OCS and an awesome creation (not by me though)... so until then, have a MARVELOUS day!!! Smiles!

Valentine Treats...

Happy ALOHA Friday!!! ooh, can't wait to start my 3 day weekend... okay maybe not... i don't count Monday as a do nothing day... it's gonna be a busy one... anyway, i hope you all enjoy the last day of the week and are ready as ever to get your groove on for the weekend!

here's my episode of Wild Card Wednesday at CA&F on a Friday... LOL... this week the challenge is issued by their guest designer Lysa and boy did she throw out a great challenge... Lysa wants to see you create those Valentine's treats! perfect for me to get my buns moving on my Vday creations... but, in the midst of creating my 1st one, i think i threw my shoulder out cause boy does it hurt... thankfully the DH wrapped it for me... should be better today... here's a pix of both creations as i made 2 for this challenge... the mailbox was my first, but i didn't like it very much so i decided to make something else...
this double pix of the mailbox just shows it with the flap closed and the bottom pix of the flap open with the goodies sticking out... my concept was there, it just didn't turn out the way i really wanted it to... still think it's cute though... i didn't follow any patterns... it was basically free hand... used some scrap, cut it down to the size i wanted and then bent the heart DP over some solid CS... cut a strip of scrap CS and used a heart nestie for the flag...i like this one better... i used the biggest heart nestie for the base... then cut strips of plain CS to hold the 2 hearts together and then just decorated the outsides... on the front i used a 2 size smaller heart nestie and then adhered Little Pink Anya (my version of little red riding hood, LOL) using pop up glue dots... punched out some hearts that i layered to use for the front and the back... also use the tiny hearts to glue here and there... on the back i did the same thing except for the extra heart nestie in place of the image... to and from will fit perfectly on the round edges of the red heart.... too bad i couldn't find it in my signature set... well i have the from, don't know where the to went... inside this treat holder i stuffed some conversation hearts that are individually wrapped... mmmm, sweetness...

Both Alice Anya and Little Red (or Pink) Anya is from the Signature set available at TGF.... these Anya's fit perfect on small treats and so forth...

Thank you everyone for your get well wishes... your comments really put the extra light in my days... so happy to have such caring and thoughtful friends!! although i'm feeling much better (sick wise) now my arm is in pain! LOL... gosh does it ever end.... hope it heals up soon, don't want to waste a good weekend mending my arm... Wish you all a HAPPY day and i'll chat with you all again soon!!! Huggies!!

Heart, hearts and more hearts...

HELLLLOOOOO Thursday!! thankful for another day... it's back for work for me since i had to stay home yesterday.... wasn't feeling too great... but i think i'm all better now... my keyword is "think"... LOL...

so i do have a creation for you today... one that i really {heart}... and i couldn't help but use this for a few challenges....

C4C20 - Sketch

LPSC51 - Buttons

Inky Impressions #28 - pink and hearts

i was super excited to finally ink up my new I Heart set from LPS... i was lucky enough to win this through one of their challenges last month... perfect timing to create those Valentine's cards... i really really {heart} this set... both the image and sentiment is from this set, but the images are so versatile that you don't have to only use them for Vday... it can be used for anything.... colored my image with copics and added tiny buttons on to the heart shaped trees... can you see it?! it's so cute! then i used my heart nesties and stamped the white heart using the Love sentiment in cocoa brown and then i found some heart buttons in my stash so added those too... can you feel the love with all those hearts?! hehehe!

well now, working on a few more goodies that i hope i can share with you all soon... been limiting my craft time so i can get lots of rest and really feel better... Thanks for visiting me today! and even more so, THANK YOU so much for all your wonderful comments!!! i enjoy reading all of them and you all do put a smile on my face! so thank you from the bottom of my heart and up for your continous love, guidance and support!!! Muwah!

Random.org assisted me in choosing the winner and the person is..... #41 Lynn Stevens...... Congrats Lynn!!! please email me so i can get your goodies to you... if the email link doesn't work, you can also find it on my profile page... Thank you to all who have left comments... i really enjoyed reading your responses to my creation...

Now it's time for the deets on Flutter by Wednesday #93.... EMBOSSING... any kind of embossing will do... heat, dry, anything... as long as you have some type of embossing included with your must have of a butterfly, fairy or angel... what will you create?! Be sure to link up with Mr. Linky on the Flutter by blog... if uploading to SCS/PCP/Gallery, please use keyword FBW...
here's my card for you this week... i used Autumn Fairy from TGF (i just LOVE those fairies) along with MMSC#37 Sketch... check out MMSC they have something really awesome going on over there this week.... well i colored this fairy up in pinks and red using copics and glittered parts of her wings and the red in her hair using cotton candy and candy cane stickles gg... used heart DP and ribbon by American Crafts... lots of bling flourishes... yep, i love the bling... and the sentiment is from Clear Stamps... i thought it was such a cute saying... don't you think she could over take Cupid's job at anytime?! LOL... she's just missing her bow and arrow.... i hope you can see my embossing... one, there's embossing on the nestie frame and two, the light pink CS is embossed... you can always click on the pix to make it larger...

Please visit the rest of the DT and shoot an arrow there way to show them some love... i know they'll have fabulous creations for you... links are on my sidebar...

Okay, that's about it... i hope this fairy can work her magic and send a little LOVE to you all!! and i hope you'll come out and join us again this week!! Stupid Cupid, stop picking on me!! LOL.... that song is stuck in my head... okay okay... Farewell for now!!

Daring to keep this simple!

Time for another round of Whimisical Wednesday - The Diedrich Dare... How are all of you this midweek?! i trust you all had a fabulous long weekend...

it's time for another challenge here at the Dare and it's Nickolas' turn to dare you with his fabulous sketch.... so here's what he summoned for you today... DDSC#19....

I sure hope you are having tons of fun with the Dares from the Diedrich kiddies... i know i am... LOADS of it... so here is what i've done with Nickolas' sketch...

i've again used this beautiful Praying Madelyn from PMS that was generously given to us from Katie (PMS Owner)... Thank you again Katie!! this week i flipped the sketch and colored my image first... then i went to choose my papers... thankfully i still had some scraps to match my coloring... after putting the card together i got as far as adding the dew drops and then stopped... i really didn't want to cover up the sparkling DP... so with lots of fussing, i decided to keep it clean and simple... i really do believe the DP speaks for this card... but all in all, i really love it simple and you can see the sketch in such a clear picture... so, i apologize if it's a little too clean from my normal work but i do like this one the way it is and wouldn't change it otherwise...

hey, don't forget to visit the rest of the Daredevils and show them some love... i'm sure they have greatness waiting for you... it's just a click away... the links to the DT is on my sidebar... Kim is away with family and will not be joining us this week... Debbie and Valerie will join us as soon as they can... Don't forget to check out what Jacquie, our host this week, has for you on the Dare blog... and be sure to link up with Mr. Linky... if uploading to SCS/PCP/Gallery, please use keyword DDSC19...

Thanks for sharing a Dare with me today! i hope to see you join us this week!!! Have a Darin' Lovely day! =D

Geisha wishes...

Hey peeps!!! i've been so MIA that i've lost track of the days... wow, is it really Tuesday already?!?! =D been busy with family and not feeling so great, so i decided to lay low the last 2 days and just come in to check out your awesome creations...

here's one today that i'd like to share... made for the Club Anya & Friends WCW color challenge... the color combo to use was real red, baja breeze and melon berry.... i don't have the exact colors, but this is what i came up with... finally inked up Geisha Anya from TGF.... and then searched for some DP that looked similar to the colors... also used the 2nd Saturday sketch at CA&F... didn't really like the way this one turned out.... must have been a mojo block... haven't really created anything after this one but some DT cards... so be sure to come check back tomorrow for the Dare and Flutter by Wednesday!!!

sorry for the post and run but i'm going to be late for work! hehehe! See you all soon!

Framing LOVE forever....

Hello! Hello! wow, 2nd post of the day... be sure to check out my post from this morning.... i'm so glad it is the end of the day and i can finally settle down to a normal routine and play around with some crafting... because of my long nap yesterday, i was up all night until 6:30 this morning before i said i need to get some sleep before the start of the day... haha! i was back up at 8... OMGosh... it was a sorta crazy day, going here, going there... so now it's really nice to be in the comfort of my home... =D

i'm really proud of this project that i'm about to show you... it has so much meaning to me and i adore the way it came out... so without further teasing, here it is...
please excuse the glare from the glass... couldn't get a better picture otherwise... so before i go on to my recipe, here's some challenges this lovely is going for...

1. TGF FFF - Picture This!

2. Cute Card Thursday Challenge 95- Pink/Grey color combo

using some pretty pink and grey paper by S.E.I, i cut it to fit the frame for the picture and to fit inside the frame... used another double sided sheet of solid grey and a light pink polka dot print and and punched out some border strips using a MS scallop lace punch... using the scraps of that, i punched out butterflies and layered them for a fluttering look... used Cake Topper set from TGF and colored Ian up in a dark grey color (used a light and dark shade) and Anya with pink ribbon... found this pretty pink and white flower embellies in one of my stash containers so i added that to her hair as well as te label above the picture... also added a sheer pink ribbon overlapped with white rick rack ribbon, on the bottom of the frame, behind Ian and Anya... and there it is.... a precious moment captured forever... my life, my love, my everything! i was going to save this and give it to DH as a anniversary present, but i changed my mind and rather have it on my desk at work... =D i'll make him another...

that's all i have for you on this beautiful Saturday... do plan on playing in the craft room again tonight while the DH is out fishing and the kiddies are at Aunty's house... it's a nice quiet night with just me and the doggy and a full tank of fish!! Have a WONDERFUL Saturday everyone!!

Winter Fun...

{Friday's post was a little late, but it's up! Check it out, if you have time! Thank you!!}

Haha!! So you thought we were done with Christmas?! well, technically we are, but it's still WINTER... and i know some friends that are getting a kick start with Christmas cards for this year! Fabulous idea!!! especially for me, knowing that this year will be an extremely busy one, can't help but join in (as much as i can)... will take off a whole lotta last minute creating as the holiday nears again...

Thanks to Danni and Kimberly, my awesome FBW sisters, for inspiring what they have created as a challenge (mainly personal goals) called A Touch of Christmas... it's a showcase that they do every Thursday... with a little ease of doing atleast one card, tag or the like once a week, in prep for Christmas 2010... they would love to see what you create... =D so, this week i'm joining in...

thankfully, i haven't put away all my Christmas/winter supplies... but i was able to organize them and now have them all in one container instead of 5... the only thing that is a mess are my papers... and i have scraps of them everywhere.. LOL... and, of course, a few challenges helped me out on this card.... Here is what this is for....

1. ROP #29 - Winter

2. MMSC #36 - Sketch

3. DCRU #21 - Leftovers (create a Christmas/Holiday card with scraps)

4. SSHP #14 - Snowflakes Gone Wild

a quick recap.... using the sketch over at MMSC, i pulled out some scrap snowflake paper along with some red and white striped paper... colored Sweetie Anya from TGF with copics and fun flocked the white areas... punched many snowflakes, small and large and glued them together off setting the colors... added tiny red and white rhinestones to the middles... used the sentiment Happy Holidays from Dandelion Designs and last but not least, some white ribbon... eek! sorry for the horrible picture... you can actually click on the pix to enlarge it....

not bad for my 1st Christmas card this year.... hahaha! don't mean to pull you down since i know we're all still recovering from that holiday... but really, it is a fabulous idea right?! okie dokie artichokie.... come back later.... may have just one more for you today... =D

His heart... Her heart... = LOVE

Yay for FRIDAY!!! OMGosh! can't believe i napped most of the evening away... LOL... guess now i'm up and ready to get crafting since everyone is already asleep... hehehe! after paying a visit to the crafty store, we got home and i finally admitted i needed some SLEEP!! i heard the girls come in and kiss me good night, which i assumed was around 8ish (bed time) and then i finally rolled out of bed as DH was turning in for the night... so that was around 930ish... gosh, am i getting old or what... LOL...

almost missed today to show you another creation... atleast i've made it for Hawaii time.... it's early morning for the rest of the friends around the world.. my apologies!

over at Club Anya and Friends, there is a Monday Mania challenge every week... this week the challenge was issued by Caz... she wants to see you couple our friends up... Woohoo! after seeing this challenge i just knew who i wanted to partner up... and i have to admit, this was my first time masking images and boy did it take me about 4 tries until i got it right! so i show you....
the handsome Edward and sassy Megan Sprout... i think they make a cute couple... don't you?! i just adore Megan for her sas and class... and Edward, well, what can i say?! i {heart} him... hehehe! both of these are available at TGF if you haven't already snagged these cuties... a little clean and simple from my normal creations... used some pretty Valentine's papers from American Crafts, the hugs and kisses ribbon also from AC and then i punched some hearts to cover up some white space that i didn't like leaving like that... just a hint of stickles in her bow and that's it! DH said he likes this creation the best out of all the V-day ones i've done so far... hmmm, i think i do too... now, if you didn't check out the TGF gallery, i think you should... there are some AMAZING creations for this challenge in there... and the best thing is, you can go check out who is matched with who.... =D

got a few things going on tomorrow, like DD#1 going back to hula practice, 2 parties and then i'll be in the clear... DH was so sweet to do the laundry for me today so i 'm free of that chore too! Yay!! a weekend of some play.... Hope you all enjoy this weekend, and hope that many of you also have Monday's holiday off!! Wishing you lots of crafting!!! See ya tomorrow!!!

Cupcake for you!

It's Thursday! It's Thursday!! OMGoodness how happy i am that there is only one more work day this week... i'm looking forward to the weekend and not having to wake up super duper early... and hey, it's a 3 day weekend too... even better... maybe i can finally catch up on my unfinished crafts... LOL...

Got in some crafty time today, which was a semi sorta stress reliever... yah, crafting is a good way to relieve stress... but it was the usual.... start pulling supplies and then "Mom!" okay, go see what happened... alright, now back to the craft chair.... then "Mommy!" okay, now these girls need to learn how to share... back again, then "Babe!" arrrrghh! LOL.... but i did have time to finish this card for you tonight.... despite the interruptions... hehe!

so here's the challenges this card is up for:

1. Crazy 4 Challenges ~ C4C19 - Birthday Theme

2. LLWWC #21 ~ Shaped Cards

3. PaperPlay Week 2 ~ Furry Friends

So let's begin, with my shaped card... i love this style cupcake... and i actually got this template from BFC website in the projects section... and all i did was make the template bigger to my liking... then i pulled the papers i wanted to use.... used Krafty CS as the base and traced the top on some glitter paper and the bottom on Imaginisce DP (sorry can't remember what line)... ran the bottom through my crimper for a more realistic textured look... used this cutesy dog and cupcake from the darling CC Designs set given by my GF Joni H.... don't know where i got that sentiment from... i found it lying in my clear stash... and then i also used this awesome (i wanna say glitter but it's not) blueberry slush, also from Joni, a little on the cupcake that the dog has and then as sprinkles on the cupcake top... oh, and i added dark brown ribbon... not sure why but i just wanted ribbon on there... LOL... only thing missing is the cherry on top... that's okay, i can be the cherry... HAHA!

okay... need to get my 2nd fix of crafting before bed time... DD#2 is staying at Great-Grandma's tonight which is a load off my shoulders since she's the more active one... oh no! i just remembered that we have a sorta busy schedule this weekend... yikes! so much for sleeping in... oh well! that's life!! come back tomorrow for another creation!!! Have a fabulous night/day friends!!!! Big Hugs!!!

That's what Sisters are for...

{Please scroll down for my Flutter By Wednesday #92 post. Thank you!!!}

Another Happy Wednesday Friends to you!!! I'm so glad you could join me here for Whimisical Wednesday - The Diedrich Dare!!!

Remember, the Diedrich Dare is now being sponsored by an array of fabulous sponosors, for the FIRST challenge of every month... We THANK Katie very much for being our first sponsor and for sponsoring her generous gift to the winner.... Very much appreciated Katie!! From all of us here at the Dare.... Please check the Dare blog for the winner of last week's challenge...

Now i bring to you the sketch created by the wonderful Jack! Presenting.... DDSC#18....
I think he kept this one fairly easy for you to come and play along... Just look at it and vision a creation... Here's my take....

i adore this sweet image from Belles n' Whistles called "Sisters"... my favorite image by far... hmmm, is it because i have 2 little girls?!?!? yah, i think so.... nothing more precious than big sister lending a hand to little sister... (i wish it could ALWAYS be like that)... haha! but with them being 4 years apart, they do get on eachother's nerves... =D they are completely different from Mommy though, i'll stick with clothing that is dark and earth tone, these girls go for BRIGHT!!! so, used some bright copics to color these sweeties... i added some stickles to the flowers, grass and leaves... used Prima flowers with button centers and some bling bling... the sentiment is from the Fancy Fleurs set that you can get at TGF.... this card is simple, the colors keep it busy, and i think i did pretty darn good keeping with the sketch... and i really thought about it and figured that i'd enter this into the SSHP#13 Challenge - Love without hearts, as my interpretation of the challenge is Sisterly Love.... =D

Here's a list of my FABULOUS DT sister's that will be joining in this week... Please take some time and show them some LOVE...

Debbie Lee
Heather Schlatter (may play later)
Jacqueline Nordaune
Jacquie Peifer
Jessica Diedrich (a.k.a.Mom ;)
Kim Ross
Randi Wall
Rebecca Ednie
Sandra MacLean
Val Urtiaga

Hope to have Cassie and Darla back with us next week too... Alrighty, now go and bounce around your crafty space and show us (especially Jack) what you've got going on this week! If uploading to a gallery, please use keyword DDSC18... and don't forget to head on over to the Dare blog and link up with Mr. Linky!!! Hope to see you DARED!!!! Have a DARE-licious day!!!

Blue Fairy...

Happy Wednesday!!! Time for Flutter By Wednesdays #92.... Did you all enjoy the blog hop last week??? It was FLUTTERING beyond because of all of you... Thank you for supporting the challenge and the team as we transitioned to our new fluttering home!! and if you haven't done so already, please follow us on the new home of FBW... you don't want to miss a thing!
Fluter By Wednesday #92 is an OPEN challenge this week as long as you have a butterfly, fairy or angel on your creation... make sure you link up with Mr. Linky over on the FBW blog so we can come and enjoy your beautiful creations... and if uploading to SCS/PCP/Gallery, please use keyword FBW92...

I toned down my colors this week for FBW... as most of you know, my all-time FAVE color is blue... but i don't play with it as often as i'd like too... so this week, i'm playing with blue...
using this sweet fairy from Inky Impressions, i colored her in shades of blues using copics... this image is darling, one of my faves from the company... also using the sketch challenge #27 happening over on the Inky Impressions Challenge blog, this is how i put my card together... you all know i love my butterfly punches, so of course i used them on this creation... i have the butterflies in place of the flowers that were on the sketch... along with some different shades of blue bling... some stickles on her wings... and that completes it!

Please flutter on to my DT Sister's blogs and see what they have fluttering for you today... links to their personal blogs are on my sidebar... and then make your way back to the FBW blog and link up...

Thank you for joining me today! i hope you will Flutter with us!!

Just a note....

Hey friends!!! just a little note to say that i've been a little MIA the last 2 days... haven't really done any crafting over the weekend cause i've been feelin' a tad bit under the weather... Had a beautiful weekend with the family, with a little more than expected list of chores... DD#2 is feeling a whole lot better (phew), but got called from DD#1's school yesterday that her gums were a little inflammed and really bothering her... took her to see the dentist and it turned out that her tooth was loose and caused an infection so they had to pull it.... my poor baby... but she's all better and ready to go back to school today...

I was so stoked to see that this card here was chosen as MMSC35's weekly bonus winner... that was awesome news to receive... Love playing the MM challenges, and i'm sure you'll love it too if you join along... go and check them out... Priscilla is a great hostess and her DT is fabulous... there's a link to the blog on my sidebar...

Don't think i'll have a creation for you later but please join me tomorrow for my DT cards for Flutter By Wednesday and the Diedrich Dare... i'm so excited to show you those...

I hope i start feeling better soon!!! i'm missing out on a lot of happenings with you all... and have been behind the scenes just commenting on what i can keep up with for the time being... i have some interesting and beyond exciting news that i'm eagerly awaiting to share with you too... not just yet, but soon! =D it's got me grinning from ear to ear... well, off to work for me... hope i can manage another day... even with feeling lousy... Have a BEAUTIFUL day everyone!!!! i'll be back soon!

was suppose to post this yesterday, but decided to keep it for today, since i wasn't able to get anything crafty done yesterday... some sweetness from 2 sweet gals that i've had the pleasure of meeting through blogland...

when i first saw this on 1LuvnMama's blog, i fell in love with it... her craftiness amazes me and truly is an inspiration... she comes up with the cutest things... hey girl, send some of that mojo my way... =D come home from a tired day at work to find a box waiting for me... and inside was this fabulous creation... Wow, couldn't believe i was a recepient of this lovely... and done in my FAVE color and using one of the sketches from the Diedrich Dare that i design for... how extra special is that?! Thanks 1LuvnMama!!! i'm soooo LUVN this... need a crafty boost? head on over to her blog and see what she comes up with next... you will NOT be disappointed...
this is a Thank you RAK from my dear friend Colleen.... she surprised me with a CD holder desktop calendar, a cutesy snowman thank you card and another beautiful thank you card from her kiddies.... Wow! Look at that snowman card... isn't he just the cutest?! the thank you card from the kiddies was extra special too... her oldest child, Z, wrote inside all by himself and spelled the best that he could... what a wonderful thank you card to receive... Thank you Colleen for showering me with greatness... i LOVE it all... Love the creative works of art... =D

i'm hoping to get in the craft room later in the day and work on some things... paying another visit to the craft store to see what's new... i'm waiting to get my hands on some of the new MS heart punches.... i hope they're in the store now... =D Enjoy the rest of the weekend... we are all blessed to have waken up to another day... Smile, even when the road is bumpy, at the other end, it will become a smooth ride... be back soon! hugs!

"LOVE" New Miss Anya

Beautiful Saturday today!!! Nothing like doing nothing at all... LOL... yah right! me, do nothing... hahaha! i don't have a story for you today... but i do have a creation and some beautiful RAKs (i'll share on another post).... Glad you all liked my story yesterday... everytime i stamped an image (last night and today) i'm still giggling to myself... LOL...

okie dokie... got to combine a few challenges into this creation and here's what this is up for:

1. MMSC #35 - Sketch (found on the MM blog)

2. Anyone for Anya - Anything goes

3. Cute Card Thursday #94 - All New - (my new is the new Miss Anya Stamp and flowers)

4. Farm Fresh Friday at TGF - Mary's Glitter and Glue Challenge

Miss Anya Love was one of the new stamps that i got in the mail yesterday and i was so eager to ink her up... isn't she lovely?! this card was put together using the MMSC #35 sketch... since i added the flowers to her bouquet, i decided to copy the ribbon in her hair and add it to where the flowers were suppose to be... punched out some big hearts and then punched out smaller hearts in the middle and then glued pink and brown CS to the back... glittered up the heart on her bow, pink of the dress, shoes and eyelids with frosted lace stickles... and i did the same with the white parts of the heart too.... need to see the pix closer?? click on the image to enlarge...

i sure hope you like this creation... i do, i do! hopefully i can squeeze in a few more hours of craft time tonight... right now, i'm off to finally take down my Christmas tree... LOL, yes, it's still up... perks of having a fake one... be back soon with some RAKs to share... Aloooooha!

Going Green!

Happy Aloha Friday!!! or atleast what's left of the day... =D as i said i'd have a creation for you today, this one is HOT off the press... literally... i just finished gluing on the last of the detailing...

ok, but first i have to share this funny story with you... bare with me k?!

so i got a bunch of new stamps in the mail today and wanted to trim them for use tonight... so i took them (my whole container in fact) with me to my Dad's house (we go there every Friday) so i'd have something to do... i'm not much of a drinker and that's what they usually do... so i'm cutting my rubbah and my Dad asks "what are you doing?" in a laughing reply i say "cutting my rubbah so i can make babies!" LOL.... his reply... "WHAT?!?!" i'm sitting there laughing hysterically... and DH is sitting there saying "that's how we had the first 2!" LMAO... then in the end i told my Dad, "see i'm practicing safe sex (don't want to have another baby just yet, unless it's meant to happen), look at all my rubbah..." he just shook his head... OMGosh, what a fun night... sorry sorry... just wanted to share a laugh... believe me, there were many... =D
now i present to you Miss Flutter Anya dressed in green... based on the fabulous 1st Monday Mania challenge of 2010 over at Club Anya and Friends, the featured challenger is Jenn Borjeson and she issued a MONOCHROMANIA - one color wonder! you can get all the details on the blog... love the versatility of Flutter Anya, and love the different shades of green... after going through tons of paper, i finally agreed to GO GREEN! =D pulling random scraps of green DPs, i've but this lovely card together on a green base CS... punched some flowers using smaller scraps of CS and added different shades of green rhinestones to the middles... can't really tell in this pix but IRL, you can see a color difference... the last detailing was adding dew drops to the corners... i am super satisfied on how the colors turned out on her... she looks fab rockin' those greens... not intentionally done, but do you think she's giggling over my story?!?!? LOL...

well, i'm heading back in the room to see what else i can whip up... hoping to start getting back into my groove again and participating in a few callenges i've missed over the holiday season... which btw, anyone care to share their new year resolutions?!?!? i'll share one of mine... MORE SLEEP! haha! i think i've already failed that goal.... Have a fabulous weekend and i'll be back tomorrow with.... well, something... =D

CASE of Aloha!

Wow! what a day has it been... ok, so it didn't stop raining by the time i left for work which had me squeezing the whole 15 minute drive... it was still dark out which made it even worse... darkness, rain, do not mix with me.... so i'm driving with 2 hands on the steering wheel, scared shirtless everytime someone merges next to my lane... was very relieved when i finally reached the parking lot to my office... ok, maybe not because there were a bunch of weirdos hanging out in the rain the next building over... so i lock myself in my car, checking out my surroundings... finally i see one of the probation officers pull up and i knew it was my que to hurry up and get in the gates before he walked to his building... yah, i know this is hawaii and all, but man are there some whackos out there... LOL, you'd think i was writing a horror story or something... LOL.... no, it's real life...

eventually the rain subdued and the sun tried to shine through... went to the hospital at 11 am and waited 2 hours for a doctor to finally release Grandma... so, I officially brought her home today... it was nice that my boss gave me the rest of the day off... umm, not exactly, i'm using up some family care day vacay... i'm surprised we even have something like that... but hey, why not... then i come home to my sweet DD#2 with a 102.3 temp..... ugh... so after rocking her to sleep (along with my arm) i managed to get in some craft time... =D
a k-lusive kreation made for the Wild Card Wednesday challenge over at Club Anya and Friends... this week, we are to CASE the fabulous creation by Robin Mck... you can see her card and read up on the official rules over on the blog... trying to use up my mounds of scrap, i decided to use these pretty sparkly papers from DCWV... basing my solid colors on blue and yellow... oh i just LOVE HG Sing... and you can get her from TGF.... the sentiment is from the Anya says set that you can also get there... funny, this CASE-d card is an addition to a case of goodies being sent out this weekend... alright, not a case but a box... LOL... same difference right!?

well, hope you stuck with me until the end... my horror story (LOL), my good and bad news and then my creation... i'll have one more for you tomorrow... probably sometime during nightfall... Wish you all a wonderful night... Thanks for visiting me today... you know you all make me smile... feels good to be back on a somewhat daily basis... =D

RAKs and some GRAND News...

Happy Thursday Friends!!! it started raining here on Maui about 20 minutes ago... sounds like it's starting to blow away... hopefully it does before i have to drive to work... i don't like driving in the rain... LOL... been a little MIA trying to get life back into normal mode... DD#1 went back to school yesterday and i'm slowly putting the Christmas things away... other than that work has been busy... home life has been busy... i've been too busy for myself... =D have a few projects in the works that i hope to share with you soon... but today, i have some RAKs and some awesome news.... so shall we begin...
This RAK is from my sweet friend Jamee... she sent me all these goodies.... isn't everything just great?! i love it all... she sent me some microbeads (hope to do some shakers), that awesome stamp, some sandpaper, a cutesy huge paperclip, a charm (in my fave color) and that lovely flower stamp that i'll soon be using... and look at the cute card!!! Love the colors on it... Thank you Jamee for thinking of me and showering me with all these great finds!! i'll be playing with them soon! If you haven't seen Jamee's creations yet, i highly recommend you do... especially if you're a TWILIGHT fan... you'll LOVE all her Twi-inspired creations... =D
Here's a LOVELY RAK from another sweet friend, Joni H.... ok, one thing about Joni and I, we LOVE the color blue... so, look at all the sweetness she sent my way... the first thing i noticed was that darling image... i just love it! farthest to the left is a bag that she made that carried all of these goodies.... the one in the middle is her cute cute easel card and the one on the right is a beautiful calendar she made using a coaster... and all three of these projects have the same DP used on the creations... how fabulous is this gift set... Thank you Joni, for sharing your Aloha with me... i LOVE everything and can't wait to play with these... Joni has fabulous creations on her blog... if you have time, go and visit her... you'll LOVE all her cute creations!

Thank you girls for the showering of love... i'm grateful for the sweetness you have given me along with your kind friendship! Thank you, Thank you!

before i head off to get ready for work... one last bit of GRAND news... after 2 weeks of not having my Angel home, i'm FINALLY bringing my Grandma home today.... how excited are we to have her here with us... it has been a long journey to this point, and it finally feels good to know that she will be steps away... i'm overwhelmed with thanks to the LORD, that we can see her smiling face in the comfort of home and with family!! Thank you dearly to all my friends who have kept us in your prayers and thoughts and who have showered their love to us... some of you know it was a battle i was not going to lose!

So enjoy this Thursday... count your blessings daily... LOVE every second... and i'll be back soon! HUGS!

Katie has kindly given the team a free digi to play with this month and i just had to get a fairy... so my choice was to play with Praying Madelyn.... isn't she just the sweetest?!? i LOVE her... She's versatile and could be used for any occasion... when i first saw the makeup a set, i visioned PINK... lots and lots of shades of pink... and then i liked the round compartments so i used buttons, rhinestones and dew drops as an inspiration from that... mmm, Madelyn is sending a prayer to all of you to wish you all a WONDERFUL NEW YEAR!

Out of time...

Hello Everyone! Happy Sunday!! the sun is out and it's a beautiful day here in Hawaii, except for all the wind.... where did that come from?!?! =D haha, hence my post title, i've run out of time to play all the challenges happening over at Club Anya and Friends... but i was able to complete 4 challenges staying up until 5 this morning.... would have finished more if i had just a little bit more time, but today was family day and the girls wanted to go to Fun Factory... i'm all about family first, so i gave up my crafting time to be with them... now if the DH went fishing, it would have been a different story... LOL... but family time is ALWAYS precious....

i'm super excited to share with you the ones i have completed though... =D so scroll down... let's get going! this is the first card i completed... took me about an hour prepping everything for this one... and then putting it together was a breeze... out of all 4, this has to be my FAVORITE one... playing along to Kadie's Sew Satisfying challenge, i must say i'm SEW satisfied with this one... my sewing machine is broken and i can't really faux stitch, so i had to find another mean of playing along... then as i was staring into a box of goodies from my GF Kim, i saw the stitch punch she sent to me for Christmas... whipped it out and started punching.... stitched it up and then cut it out using Dahlia nesties to make it look like a flower... as i started to put it on the card, it felt like something was missing... so i took some black CS and punched out some leaves.... to me, it looks much better IRL... to add another thing, the image i used is Sassy Suzi created by Kim that she also sent to me for Christmas... =D Kim, hope you like what i did with your goodies.....
Next up is Kim C.'s "not the norm" challenge... what is this??? using two colors that you don't normally use... inspired by colors on your DP or so forth... well, when i saw the heart flower DP, i knew this would be a pink and yellow creation... i do not normally use this color combo.... but i do like the way this one came out... especially using Lolli Anya for this... DP is by American Crafts... then i kept it real simple using solid CS.... punched out some hearts to add a little bit more to the ribbon and dew drops...
Lysa challenged everyone with a color challenge... use the colors gray, pink, green, and cream... now, this doesn't have to be a wedding couple, i think they look really cute for prom season too... instead of keeping it traditional with black suit and white dress, i colored them up in a creamy color... green for Ian and pink for Anya... pulled out some lace with pearls to accent the card just a little... the papers are by S.E.I... then punched out some green leaves and then found these ribbon flowers in one of my containers i've never looked in for a long time... this one too is kinda cute!
and here is my card for Kelly's Flower Power challenge.... didn't come out the way i really wanted it too, but i'm okay with it... i LOVE HG Sing.... one of my all time favorites (one of the first TGF stamps i bought too)... the challenge was to use a Prima or flower of some sort on your creation... i think mine could pass to be the sun... hehehe... papers are form DCWV and i embossed the yellow DP with my swiss dots folder for a little texture... the orange polka dot ribbon was just sitting in my ribbon box and so i said, ah, why not use it...

this is what i've been working on last night until this morning.... and i still have engergy to clean the house... OMG! what is wrong with me?!?! LOL... actually, i think ima lie down for a bit before we go and visit Grandma at the hospital... Yep, she's still in there.... she's still very fragile and can barely walk, so it might be another week or 2 before they release her...
okie dokie... Ciao, for now... =D
