LOL... anyway, simple layout, the papers are really busy and full of color... the sentiment is from Hero Arts and if you look closely i added 2 dew drops too... easy peasy! think if i didn't fuss too much on what to create and how to design the card, this could have been made in less than 10 minutes...

Spotlighting on more TREATS!

Wow! i've been really slacking on posting huh?! been a bit under the weather the last few days and then been crunching some deadlines... crafting has been slow too.... tired and feeling blah is a big part of that... i have some sharings for the rest of the week though... =D

today we shine the light on Lollipop Crafts Sponsor of the week.... MELJEN'S DESIGNS...
Hop on over to Lollipop Crafts blog to pick up the deets on this wonderful company and check out all the inspiring creations using Meljen's Designs adorable images by the T Team...

here's my super sweet treats featuring 2 of Meljen's cutesy images....
I used "Happy Fall" and "Cute Little Candy Corn" digis to make these super easy treats... i really lucked out... because Fall and Halloween are in full gear, i was able to find some candy corn and mellowcreme pumpkins to complete this... i have to admit, i'm not a real big fan of these sweet treats, but i'm sure others are...
close up of the Happy Fall Badge....
and a close up of the Cute Little Candy Corn.... pretty easy treats huh?! i did a different version of this last year for girls day which you can see here.... of course you can make these for any occassion... i like it because it's simple, pretty fast depending on detailing and fun to give out...

there is still time to join us in our Halloween challenge this week and try your luck at winning a great prize from Meljen's... so hurry on over to LC and link up your creations!

Thanks for visiting with me today... if you've been following my Make a Child Smile drive here, i've posted a pix of a doll Aunty sent to me... it's the same ones she's busy sewing... toodles for now, i'll be back tomorrow with my journal page... =D

Spooky fun treat totes!

Guess you can say i survived the weekend and the endless hours at the fair!! am glad it only comes once a year though... i'm exhausted! hoping you had a great weekend too!

Lollipop Crafts Challenge #51 - Halloween... yup, it's Monday and time for a new challenge... this week we are giving you a head start on those Halloween projects that you may be procrastinating on (i know i usually do, hehe)... create a card/project with a Halloween theme and link it up... be sure to get all the deets on how to play along with us this week from the LC blog, and while you're there, soak in all the Spook-tastic creations by the Lollipop Girls... i'm sure they'll inspire you to join us...

our fabulous sponsor for this challenge is Meljen's Designs... and they do have some CUTE Halloween images for you to use on your creations... go check them out! a wonderful prize is up for grabs for one lucky random player... so don't forget to link your projects... and now i take you to my creations...

revisted an easy treat bag/tote... made these for DD1's hula sisters... total of 19 but they all couldn't fit in the pix... love making these, because there isn't much measuring and cutting... sorry i don't have instrux on them... i bascially CASEd one i received as a RAK... but you can use a 12x12 sheet cut down to 4x12, smaller or bigger depending on what you want... i went with 4x12 as it gives enough room to stuff with lots of goodies...

anyone else like me that stocks up on holiday paper for use the next year?? the DP is from K&Co last year's Halloween line... i find it easier to stock up on holiday papers while i have a chance in efforts to work on projects ahead of time and in case i can't find them when needed... yah, wishful thinking... haven't touched them until now... haha! since the DP is thin and wrinkles easily, i used AC CS to line the top and bottom and to form the base... this gives the bag some sturdiness... instead of doing 2 handles like i did on previous ones, i went with just one handle...

the totes are filled with non-edible goodies-pencil, stickers, activity pad, bracelets, spider rings, oh and a lollipop, the only edible thing for now... i'm trying not to buy the edibles too early... i have a 40lb little mouse that visits my craft room often and likes to sneak some yummies... =D here's a close up of the bottom strip... used the EK Success spider web border punch... i just love this.... was trying to look for small spiders to add on, but no luck...
this is the little tags i created and tied to the handles to make it look like a little key chain or bag chain... whatever they are called... LOL... i used my eyelet circle nestie, worked out great cause i didn't have to punch any holes for the ribbon... used the "trick or treat" sentiment from TGF's Spooktacular set, Dandelion Designs spider web stamp layered on top some DP scraps from a previous project and then layered onto the nestie... simple... DD1 can then write her name on the back...

so what will YOU be creating this Halloween?!? we would LOVE to see your creations so link them up with InLinkz on LC's blog...

time for me to grab my broom and fly on outta here... OMG, did i just admit i'm a witch?! LOL.... i meant to say spread my wings.... i'm a fairy remember... haha!! thanks for flying by today... i hope your stop here put a spell on you to make some magic and play along... =D

Trick or TREAT?!

Hiya!! sorry i haven't been around much lately... on my blog at the least... just trying to catch up on a bunch of things, plus prep for upcoming craft fairs and holidays... and of course by now you know it's never ending on my end.... LOL...

i've got some treats to share with you today... my BFF sent me a template of the sizzix XL scoreboard caddy and over the weekend i was busy tracing and cutting and assembling... and this is what i've done...
these caddies are perfect for Halloween treats and TGF's Spooktacular set was the perfect size to dress the caddies up... aren't they CUTE?! caddies are embellished very simple with just the image and the Trick or Treat sentiment (also apart of the set) and DP from K&Co...
the goodies that are stuffed inside... activity book, pencil, mini bubbles, mini stamp, notepad and a yummy carmel apple lollipop.... mmmmm!
here it is all nicely wrapped up in a plastic bag with Halloween ribbon to keep it closed and an easy peasy tag... did you notice i'm missing one?! i ran out of the clear bags... guess that means a shopping trip to the craft store, LOL... the to/from sentiment is from Dandelion Designs small enough to stamp on any type of tag and the Happy Halloween is also from TGF's Spooktacular set... oh and i had to add some punched border bats.. =D the treats fit into TGF's FFCB Farm Fresh Friday Halloween challenge so i'm gonna link it up! have you linked up yet?!

Halloween will be here before we know it, so you'll be seeing more Halloween creations around my blog in the next few weeks... i'm hoping to get all that i need to get done before Halloween... it'd be nice to not rush for a change... hehehe! yah right, me finish before the deadline?? i think i work better under pressure... haha!

thanks for stopping in today... i'll be back tomorrow with my journal page! toodles for now!

Halloween Winner!

Happy Halloween!!!

Wishing you all a very safe and FUN-filled Halloween!!!

Thank you to all who have participated in my blog candy giveaway!! I had so much fun reading what you all would dress up as! Really, it would be an awesome Halloween party if we could all get together!! =D

DH did the honors of pulling a name.... (sorry he did not want to be photographed) yes, i did it the old fashion way of writing all the names on pieces of paper, shaking it all up and pulling a name.... and the name that DH pulled was............. FAIRY BRENDA!!!! Congrats girl!!! Please email me your info so i can get your SURPRISE bag out to you! oh did i mention you have to send me a picture of yourself dressed as a fairy, before i send you your prize??? LOL, i'm kidding girl! Congrats!!!

i have to share something funny a friend shared with me... not really a joke but a saying... "Child comes home from trick-or-treating and Mom and child goes through the candy to take out the ones not good for the child. Child says, Funny how all the candies that aren't good for me is Mom's favorite!" totally classic! i think i would do something like that, LOL!

well, i'm off to finishing up the last of things around my house... a little baking and some light cooking for this evening's festivities... can't wait to get my kiddies into their costumes... i have an asian princess, a bumble bee and a ghost.... i think my ghost is cuter than Casper.... hehe! so have tons of fun and i'll be back tomorrow for a bossy challenge!

Last minute packaging...

Hello Friday!!! so happy it's Friday, but i'm not sure why! LOL... hubby made a surprise come home yesterday just in time for DD1's harvest night at school!! it was a sweet surprise and i'm so HAPPY!!! kiddies were excited to see Daddy as well... =D

there's a challenge happening over at ATS, and it's "Last minute Halloween packaging"... okay, i am sooooo last minute in packaging some goodies for DD1's A+ program, thankfully i saw the challenge, cause it helped me to remember i needed to finish this by today!... i was actually trying to look for a witch's cauldron but like i said, i was last minute and couldn't find one... so browsing our Long's store, i found this jar and thought to myself, "yah, i can do something with this!" so here is what i came up with....
i used the halloween release, SN Baby Trick or Treat Pumpkin (designed by Amy Y.) and Swiss Pixies Halloween Scene from CC Designs.... i just LOVE that baby pumpkin!!! isn't he just adorable?!
here is the completed wrapping...

and here is a close up of the tag.... here i used Swiss Pixies Birgitta, also from CC Designs.... because the purple color is dark, i outlined the spiderwebs with a white opaque pen... then i used glossy accents on her boots, witch's hat and cuffs of her dress.... she is just the cutest lil' witch in town! she sits upon an oval nestie, matted on a scallop oval... the back is also matted with a white oval for a Halloween message to her A+ leader....
hope they like it! the program is runned mainly by high school students so i'm sure a sweet tooth will make the end of their day... =D
got some errands to do today, with a visit to my FAVE craft store.... Thanks for coming to visit today and i'll be back soon! Have a happy and smile-filled Friday!!

No tricks - just TREATS!

Happy ALOHA Friday everyone!!! i LOVE Fridays.... even more now that hubby is away for work and it's the day he comes home for the weekend! YAY!! makes the excitement for the weekend even more special...

i gave myself a pat on the shoulder once these goodies were done... i'm usually very last minute putting things like this together, but this year i'm early... Wow, couldn't believe myself... haha! guess it's easier right now with only one child in school... by the time DD2 goes to school, i'll have to make holiday goodies well in advance... oh gosh, and i can only imagine when all 3 are in school... i would have to start making Halloween treats in August... LOL... okay maybe i'm pushing it a little... hehe!
alright... so i fell in love with a posting on the Dandelion Design blog... this one here to be exact... i think it was the crimping that made me head over heels to do something like that... =D Thanks Jean for the inspiration! i made my treats a little bigger than hers to fit a few more yummies inside... i actually wanted it to fit the pencil too, but it wasn't going to work out that way for me.... bought some k&co halloween paper and cut it down to 4x6 (actual treat measures 2x3 after assembling)... then i used my circle punch and scalloped circle nestie for the tags... found this round circle stamp with the phrase "trick or treat, smell my feet" around the edges complete with witch's feet... thought it was so cute and had to use it... and i just tied the pencil to the tag with some orange ribbon... simple, cute and besides, these 2nd graders will rip it open for the candy anyway... =D
this bunch is for DD1's hula sisters... i re-visted a fave from last year's goodies since i had a few leftover that were semi premade... using the sizzix window treat boxes... so all i had to do was stamp and color more images and put the whole thing together... oh yah, and stuff it with treats...

the only thing left is to make something for her teacher, Kumu and A+ leader... i usually keep that simple too... a jar full of candy! =D

well, i am in the craft room today... trying to start on a Christmas order... i think i've only finished 3 cards... so that leaves me with 17 more to do... Lil' man hasn't been feeling to well after his shots this week, and today he has finally gotten back into his normal routine... SLEEPING! so just a room over, i'm getting crafty! =D

Thanks for stopping by today!! i appreciate you coming to visit and leaving such sweet comments... it means so much and really keeps a light on to keep crafting... enjoy the weekend and i'll be back soon!! HUGGIES!

Spook-Tacular Mommy!

Hey!! this is gonna be a hit and run post as i've got to go to an appt. for the lil' man and do some errands...

Wanted to play along with TGF's FFF Halloween challenge this week, but over the weekend i didn't have much time... so i really didn't think i was going to finish a project... but at the very last minute i decided to put my brainstorming together.... too bad i'm not pregnant still for this Halloween as i would have painted my tummy to look like a pumpkin/jack o' lantern.... with that in mind, i came up with this...
i took the pumpkin head from the spooktaclar set and trimmed it to fit over Mommy Anya's tummy... originally i was going to leave the head as is but really, it was HUGE on her... hehe! Mommy Anya serves as my altered image... so in a gloomy and scary theme for halloween, she's perfect to be trick-or-treating with her lil' witch!

i don't have much of a Halloween DP stash so i was forced to be creative... taking some black CS as a base, i used my circle punch to create the moon and my star punch for the little stars in the sky... then i adhered white and yellow CS to the back for color... used a cool gray color to accent the moon (completed by stamping a flyig witch) and added glitter glue to the stars... took the house from the My House set to add a scene... used MS fence and pumpkin borders to add to the house scene too... and took some green cording that i weaved through the fence to look like pumpkin vines.... AND i just had to add a tree... for some reason when i think of eerie halloween scenes, it usually involves a balded tree... LOL
would you go trick or treating at this house??? it's not that scary right?! =D
Thanks for coming by today!! hope i've inspired you to get creative for Halloween! Come back soon! Hugs!

It's almost time....

Happy Thursday!!! it's my friday today and i just can't wait until the day is over... LOL... took a vacation day since i won't ave a babysitter for forlough friday this week... which is okay because i get to spend some time with the DDs and do up our last Halloween projects... I have one last treat to share with you... at the last minute i noticed i had one left to do... and i think, that's finally it... i haven't even started on the next set of Holiday goodies yet, which i'm dragging to do... hopefully this weekend i can get a crack at it... Next holiday, Thanksgiving...

anyway, onto my little creation... so basically i took something that was already made (paper bag) and just added a little scene on it... I finally made use of my new toys... the MS fence punch and MS scallop corner and border punch... it fit almost perfectly on this bag... couldn't make it too spooky since it's for my Boss' granddaughter... she so happens to be one day older than Alia... it was so funny because she was in the hospital having her baby the day before me... although mine was planned because of a c-section, hers wasn't and it just happened that way... sorry, wen toff track... i colored up Princess Anya in fall colors (brown and orange) and added some stickles to her sleeves, crown, star and under garment of her dress... i had some great 3D halloween stickers lying around so used that too... and couldn't help but using my favorite Boo! stamp... i punched two holes after folding the top flap down to close the bag and slipped in some pretty halloween ribbon.... pretty simple eh!

we have sort of a busy night for us... Krislen is having a harvest festival at her school which we are attending... so i might not be able to sneak into the craft room until late tonight... but i do have something in the works to share with you all soon... actually, i'll be back tomorrow with a little baking 101... LOL... i have to make dessert for my uncle's bbq... until then friends, i bid you good day and happy witchcrafting!

Halloween Treats!

Hope everyone had a GREAT weekend! i sure had a productive one... with all the crafting i did, i'm still back for more... revisted one of my previous post (Halloween is coming) but not before i share something that just melted my heart...

Created by my 6 year old DD Krislen! she just melted my heart... i have it posted on my cork board so i can see it all the time.... i'm so proud of her... we received news that she was chosen for August's Surfer of the Month (student of the month) and her awards assembly is on Thursday... i did make a lei for her stuffed with some of her favorite things, but i'll post that later... it's hiding in the closet right now...

okay, onwards! Ha! LOL, sorry just had to do that...

so like i've said i revisted my original halloween treat box... the sample one i did earlier... after lots of shopping this weekend, i didn't find much to accent this box... picked up some orange ribbon and some halloween stickers... found lots of vellum sheets stashed so i decided to use some of it... i used the same sizzix shaker box die... glued some vellum to the window... punched holes in the side of the box and put ribbon through... that's the inside...

used the glittery stickers i found at BF to give a little accent to the corners of the window... the inside flap is still unfinished... that is where Krislen will write her name... also found some cute disney princess self inking stamps in the halloween section at kmart... she wants to use that on her little note too...
here's a closer view of the inside... sorry gang... pictures are somewhat blury... hinting to the DH, it's time for a new camera... (stuffed one of the kiddie's snacks just to see)

and here's the front... so i switched this image that was originally on the inside to the outside... glued it on to the orange squares i already had cut and texturized (didn't want to waste it) and tied it off to stay closed... what'd yah think?!? a little better huh?!? sorry for the long post (again)... i'm done, i'm done! take care until next time!

Halloween is coming! LOL

Happy Thursday everyone!!! one more day until the weekend! anywho, i must admit that i was not prepared to start on my Halloween goodies, but after seeing the wonderful creations by Cheryl and Teri, i just had to kick myself to start... so i did! Yay! this is just a sample of an idea i had... but to my disappointment, i don't have much Halloween stuff... oh well, that just means another trip to the craft store.. LOL... i have a funny feeling that my order of acetate paper won't come in on time so i had to come up with another option just in case... take a look!

i've been meaning to use my box shaker die from sizzix, and finally took it out of the plastic... like i said, i don't have much (i thought i did) so for now i had to make way with what i could find... i cut out little scraps of orange cardstock and ran it through my bigshot using the pumpkin and candy texture plate... managed to find this cute trick or treat stamp in my pile of stamps... no black or orange ribbon could be found so i used gray... need to put those colors on my list...

here's the inside when you open the flap... this darling stamp is from Mari and Me... intentionally bought it to make tags, but this is my other option if the acetate doesn't come in... i stamped the images on 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 white squares, gave it a little color and taped it to the inside of the box before i assembled it... i think it's kinda cute this way so i may just stick to it... the inside top flap is blank right now... as it gets closer (and i find more stuff) i'll place a little tag to say that it's from Krislen... it looks so plain right now, so i'm hoping to find more things to add on... i'm trying to tell myself to keep it simple... 1st graders don't really care what the outside looks like, they just want the goodies =D this is a big step up from my normal buy pretty baggies and fill it to the top so i'm glad i decided to start early... hehehe... thanks to the wonderful blogging sisters who started on theirs, i have motiviation to start on mine... so, with this being just a trial and error, come back to see a revised edition (not too soon now, i have to go shopping first, LOL)... Happy Stamping!!!
