Having some fun....

Wow! is everyone recovering from the long weekend?! hope you all found some craft time... i surely did... towards the ending of the weekend though... but i managed to get a few creations done... a great sense of accomplishment... besides crafting, the weekend was spent with my hubby and kiddies... truly priceless moments and cherished memories...

i'm sharing a "having some fun" card that i created just because...
playing with some color blends and working on some black hair coloring... Swiss Pixies Tulip Brigitta Digi from CC Designs was really wonderful to play with in my trial and errors... she's just so cute! i actually colored her tulip a brighter pink but decided i didn't like it so i sorta paper pieced the flower with another colored one, popping it up... used the oval nestie with the out of box technique too... hope you like it! hope the recipient will like it too!! =D

this creation is up for a few challenges too...

1. ATS - Photo Inspiration
2. The Sweet Stop - Sketch 124
3. Cute Card Thursday - A pinch A PUNCH - Use atleast 1 punch

i feel so happy when i can play in challenges... with my upcoming busy schedule, my challenge playing days will be limited again... so i'm going to soak in as much as i can... helps me build my stock too... hehe...

happy wishes for a new (and short) week! have a happy tuesday friends, thanks for taking some time to check this out!!

A special hula dance for you....

It's Aloha Friday everyone!! and the weekend couldn't have come at a better time... with a sick little boy in the house and mommy on the end of crying because she feels so sad, the weekend is very much needed... although it doesn't mean i don't have mommy duties, it does mean daddy's home... =D

today's card is a fabulous share for this Aloha Friday and i'm hoping it will give you a relaxed feel to the start of your weekend.... meet TGF's hula Anya...
dancing in the moonlight with lots of aloha.... she's not a new stamp, actually an older one that i just love, love, LOVE... she definitely makes my top 10... i mean 20.... is that fair?! LOL... the papers are all from the DCWV Green Tea Stack.... i'm trying to hoard this as much as i can because i just love the prints and colors.... this is my kinda color chart... hehe... realistically, we do not have any blue plumerias in Hawaii, but it gave a nice touch to the image... i bought a bunch of Hawaiian themed mango wood buttons at the local fabric store and have been putting them to use this week... this one is the shape of a pineapple that i secured to the card with raffia... a hint of glitter in the flowers and some half pearls on the top left hand corner for accent.... and the Mahalo sentiment is from a local company called Stampettes....

anyway, i really miss playing in challenges and i do try to when i can... i guess i need a push every now and then... it's different when you are creating to just play and when you have to create to fulfill orders... but i managed to fit in 3 different challenges into this one card... first up is the color combo... ATS challenge this week is to use earth tones - blue, brown and moss green... i really lucked out because blue is my FAVE color and i just LOVE the color combo... 2nd is TGF's FFCB WOW challenge - Boy colors.... i'm very sure this fits into the boy color spectrum... and last but not least, Sketch 122 with a twist at The Sweet Stop.... i've been following the blog for about a month or so, but never had the courage to join in and play... until now... the sketches there are awesome... and the inspirations, gorgeous.... ever get stumped on a layout, check them out...

kay, i think i took up enough of your time... =D i do send you plenty Mahalo for sharing a part of your day with me and wish you a wonderful weekend... i'll be back on monday with a new challenge creation for Lollipop Crafts (unless i get a chance to sneak some post time during the weekend... a hui ho, until we meet again!!

Aloha....

Looking at the time it is technically Sunday, so HAPPY Sunday!!! even if i am posting this in the wee early AM,,,, hehe... i was a bit occupied yesterday and failed to prepost this creation,,, (slap on the hands) so if you want to scold me now, go ahead, i'm bracing myself for it... =D i know you wouldn't though... i need some "down" time right?!?

had a fun filled day yesterday... Hubby took us to eat at my FAVE restaurant on the west side... and then treated the kiddies to a ride on the Sugar Cane Train... oh yes, it was a family day well spent... literally! LOL...

i spent the last 4 hours staring at the things on my desk waiting for it to come together by itself... yup, it's a crafter's block moment... didn't get much done.... arrrgh! now i'm sneakin' in to post this creation before hitting dreamland... i think that's what i need to refuel Ms. Creativity...
simply said with some Aloha.... my super sweet BFF sent me a package of goodies and inside was this wonderful CC Designs stamp, Welcome Brigitta, that's been on my wishlist since it's release.... Thanks BFF, me LOVES this so much!! i received this a few weeks ago, but kept it aside (with the urgency and temptation of wanting to ink it up) until after the party was well over with.... so this past week i finally got to use her along with the weekly ATS challenge which is a fun sketch.... i wanted her to stand out so i picked a color found within the DPs and that color was orange.... purple and orange??? not a bad mix... hehe... the Aloha sentiment is from TGF's Anya Says set which goes great with this image... or so i think.... i'm so sorry but i have no idea what the DP line is called... i just know i bought a bunch when it went on clearance and i failed to scribble down the deets.... so bad!! went with a 5x7 card so that the sketch could clearly been seen without hiding the papers so much... combined some punched flowers with some primas and rhinestone middles... then added a few dew drops here and there... simple and clean.... do you likey?!?

that's all i have to share with you for now... will pop back in later with sign ups for September's SSS and if all goes planned this coming week, i have a few more sharings... i just remembered i haven't shared my journal page for last week... i'm not so thrilled with it but i'll share that soon... just trying to work out the postings so i'm not overposting... LOL.... have a fantastic Sunday and come again soon!!

It's a VERY special day!

Hi there!!! it is a very special day today and i'm celebrating a very special someone!!!

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY KEENAN!!!

Wishing you the best 1st birthday ever lil' man! Here's to many more happy celebrations for you... Mommy LOVES you sooooo much!!!

Yes! it has been a ONE-derful year!! one year ago, on 08.09.10, my little prince was born... today, he is one happy little boy that will melt your heart with his smile... in celebration of his birthday i made this card for him....

made him this easel card using Oliver from TGF's OA Happy Day set and paired the image with Three Bugs in a Rug's Dawson line (love the cutesy dinosaurs)... also used Dawson themed chipboard stickers (dino and stars) to add a little more RAWWR to the card (i did an emergency run to the craft store for it, LOL)... computer generated my "happy 1st birthday" sentiment and then finally added some tiny buttons...
here is the inside... took a sheet of the Dawson paper and trimmed it to fit this little scene... tried to replicate the sun, so i did an off set (by the tree) using a yellow button, which also holds my card top up... there's a hidden message that's viewable when you first open the card, can you see a hint of it... looks kinda cool IRL, sorta like a cloud... hehe! hoping the little one likes it and it doesn't end up in his mouth! LOL...

hmm, and this card fits perfectly into a few challenges this week...

1. ATS - Anything goes....

2. TGF FFCB - Farm Fresh Friday Throwback #3

well, i'm off to celebrate! THANK YOU for visiting often and leaving your wonderful comments! i've still got so much more things to do before his big party this weekend and i'm crossing my fingers i don't go overkill on myself... HAHAHA! but today/tonight is the most special celebration... his actual birthday and his very first taste of chocolate CAKE! yum! can't wait to snap some pixs.... Happy 1st Birthday my lil' man!!! soon! =D

Kick off for Christmas?!?!

Hiya!! poppin' in this early tuesday morning for a quick sharing.... i'm actually playing in a challenge... amongst everything else i'm suppose to be doing i wanted a little "free" play.... i can't even tell you how super stumped i was making this card... it's like Ms. Creativity went on vacay or something without telling me.... you know, the last freedom ride for summer... gonna have to have a talk with her... LOL... really though, i did have a hard time finishing but was absolutely determined to finish it since it was partially complete...

challenge over at ATS this week is CHRISTMAS in JULY! perfect for a kick start to making those Christmas cards, gift ideas, tags, etc.... and the good man knows i NEED a kick start!! but i can bet you i'll probably procrastinate again! haha! lately that has been the word in my craft world... man would some one just delete the word entirely?! hehe... i'd be better off if the word was not part of the vocabulary or in the dictionary... dream on right?! well, here is what i came up with by winging it...
totally plain if you ask me... if not for the pretty papers i guess you could say... papers are pretty busy itself and i couldn't really find the right embellies to stand out... my solution... slap on a sentiment (from Dandelion Designs) and just a touch of rhinestones (yah it blends into the papers) and leave it like it is.... not even the border punch i wanted to use would go with it... ahhh, no stress papers worked it's magic... and CC Designs Sugarplum Santa Emma is the steal of the show anyway... =D i fun flocked the white parts of her outfit and Santa hat, something i love to do when i can... hmmm, maybe when i pull this card out again for the holiday season i'll find something to dress it up a little more... what do you vote?! leave as is?

okie dokie.... way past my bedtime... told myself i need to start sleeping a little earlier... obviously it's not happening... LOL... i just enjoy the silence of the night crafting.... no interruptions or disruptions... just me and my craft supplies... ahhh! privileged pleasures.... too bad i kinda hit the crafting stump.... oh well, hope for a better craft day later today... Ciao for now!

Sweet November June Release Preview

Tuesday, tuesday!!! nothing like something a little "re-freshed!"

as Amy's Sweet November guest gal for June, comes along a chance to participate in the SN preview review at ATS... whoop whoop! so here's is my creation for that...
when doing some shopping, i came across these beautiful seashell stickers and just knew i needed that for this card... it accents little miss Pebbles... ugh i just noticed how horrible the picture is... i'm sorry... i'll try and take better pixs... it looks better IRL... hehe... anyway, since the sticker embellies took up a lot of space, not much room left, i tried my best to accent with other embellies too... so i added a button and some hemp... the sentiment is from TGF's OA Journey set and it's a very encouraging phrase if you remember my little story about Pebbles during the sneak peeks... =D

all of Amy's Sweet November June releases is available now at the ATS store if you didn't get them yet... 5 new mermaids/merbabies along with some friends... or did you already get them?! i hope so!! they make great cards/projects for summer!

Thanks for popping in today... check out Amy's blog and the ATS blog and see what the DT have created.... come back tomorrow to see what else i have sizzling these summer days.... (i don't even know what i'm sharing yet, LOL)....

Make someone happy!

Whoops!! i let most of Saturday sneak right by me!! almost....

another creation here to share with you that i finished yesterday and i have to tell you that i'm really loving the color combo... hope you do too!! maybe i've used it before with out noticing but it all goes so well together...

color challenge over at ATS for the weekly challenge and it's to use the colors AQUA, YELLOW and LIME... i found some DP perfect for the challenge... first piece was from a paper stack that i haven't used yet and the polka dot DP was some scrap... going through my humungous binder of stamps that would go perfectly with this combo i finally settled on using CC Designs Tulip Birgitta... i actually have her as a digi... kept the LO simple so the papers (and colors) standout with little embellishments. flowers, pearls and bling... the sentiment is also from CC Designs... the layer behind Birgitta was embossed with a new folder i snagged at BF's sale... i really like it and sanded it down a little just to show some white... and can you believe i didn't use any glitter?! i was tempted but opt not to... used a darker yellow for the tulip as i wanted it to really standout and now i think i should have layered it... oh well! i'm pretty "HAPPY" with this card...

got to do a little craft shopping at Island Paperie today and found some goodies to play with... even found some beautiful papers... as if i need more right?! i think i know what i want to use them for, unless it gets added to my hoarder collection... hehe!

taking a break tomorrow from posting but will be back on Monday to start a new week of sharing... hopefully i get to play in the craft room all night... so much i want to do, but it seems i always run out of time... story of my life... LOL... stay tuned and for now, enjoy the rest of the weekend!!! and make someone happy!! and make yourself happy by doing some crafting! =D

this week, i've got a few creations to share with you as i've been busy in between setting up for previews with creating and playing along in some challenges... so my blog will be full of life this week! or i can hope right?! =D things always seem to come up!! haha!

why not start off today with a creation for the challenge at ATS - Anything Goes....

i've been hoarding this gorgeous blue washi paper for some time now and when i received a special gift from one of my blogging sisters, i just knew i had a perfect pair... and i have to say that this is my FIRST ever Magnolia stamp (along with one that came with this one ) added to my stamp collection! love Magnolias and all their cuteness and i think i might have to start collecting these... hehe! anyway, the image was perfect with the washi paper and the colors very bright and royal... different shades of blue (my FAVE) with gold... used the SU! lattice squares embossing folder that i just LOVE to add texture and i had a stash of gold ribbon to accent and bring out the gold outlines... and if you look really good at the image, i've even added some sakura dust gold ink to her kimono and flowers... sentiment is from Dandelion Designs...

well, thanks for coming by today! hope this card sparks some inspiration for you to craft! have a great week and i'll be back tomorrow!!

SN Preview Day #3 - Pebble with Jumbo and Gumbo

Pretty as a gem, magnificent as a diamond, but rare like a pearl....

Hello, hello!!! are you having fun with the new Sweet November previews?! it's not over just yet... Day #3 with Amy Young and Sweet November, another merbaby is born...
Pebble likes nesting in her clam shell... not as adventurous as her merlings (siblings), she likes to keep close to home and make sure everything is in order... you'll find her sitting in her shell daydreaming or sharing stories with her pals Jumbo and Gumbo (shrimp)... you might find her tending to the sea garden or finding special treasures to decorate their home... she loves to collect shells and coral, and turn them into beautiful headpieces... she's crafty like that! =D Jumbo and Gumbo, although tiny, like to explore more and often share their adventures with Pebble...

Thanks to a great friend, Jenny, who shared her photo frame creation, i made my first attempt to try one... a little rough on the edges, but i'm very happy with the way this turned out... Thank you Jenny for sharing your tut with me!! i'm going to display this proudly in my home complete with a pix of my perfect pearls (my girls)...

you'll have a chance to take Pebble, Jumbo and Gumbo home with you on June 5th when they are released at ATS... so while you wait for them to be ready, why not swim over to Amy's blog and Nancy's too, to see what adventures they have to share with you!!

tomorrow is the final preview day and you'll want to see what's so enchanting about the sea....

SN Preview Day #2 - Splash and Wave

It's day 2 of a new splashing release preview for Amy Young and her Sweet November Stamps!! did you all LOVE Sandy and Mama Crabby yesterday?! Amy and Nancy rocked the ocean with their blast of colors didn't they?!

Today we are previewing some new little fins that are being added to the Sweet November Mermaid line, and don't let these cuties fool you because they are tiny... they are full of curiosity and can't wait to venture into the open sea...
Meet Splash and Wave! this bundle of sea-weetness is just a few newbies born undersea... they are super playful, LOVES to giggle and "splash" in the "waves"... and you might just see them peeking out at you while at the beach! they are VERY adventurous and want to explore all that they can!

when deciding what to do with these besties, shaker card came to mind... of course they love twirling around each other, they are just a playful pair... during one of their explorations, they met Crabster (he's part of the DP)... with so many questions about the ocean, first thing they asked him was.... "are you related to Mama Crabby?" too cute right?!

Splash and Wave, the playful BFFs, will be available for purchase on June 5th at ATS and will make a great addition to your mermaid family... don't forget to visit Amy and Nancy's blog too for more spotlight on Splash and Wave... and the ocean sounds say there is some salt candy lingering around on Amy's blog...

LOL... i really put my all into these creations... truly, i'm over the top with being able to bring you these previews!
Sandy Breakwater and Mama Crabby is taking in all the wonderful colors of the ocean... since those glitter hair thingy's are in these days, Sandy Breakwater is keeping in with the fad and has some of her own in her hair... Guess who's an SN GUEST GAL?!?!?

Aloooooha!!! well i've got some exciting news today that adds to the kick off of an already FABULOUS week... believe me when i say i'm excited, yet nervous...

if only you could have heard the happiness in my screams, and maybe even the ground shaking with all the jumps of joys, LOL, (ok maybe not cause i'd probably crack the concrete)... seriously, my neighbors probably think i'm crazy, i know my kiddies looked at me kinda funny! anyway, what's all the excitement about?! i've been asked by the SUPER DUPER creative Amy Young, creator of Sweet November, to be her June Release Guest Gal!!! O-M-G!!! now do you understand the excitement! i've been a total fan of Amy way before she released her OH SO FABULOUS line of stamps and she is an AMAZING friend too... when she got her debut, i was over the top HAPPY for her and LOVED seeing her monthly releases! you just have to check out her images... i've started a collection, and you should too....

aside from the excitement (and honestly, i'm STILL beaming) i was absolutely nervous to be creating for Amy! She deserves the BEST previews and it was nerve wrecking because i did not want to let her down... so i'm hoping (crossing fingers) my creations will do her new releases justice!!! THANK YOU Amy, SO much for having me as your guest gal!!!
here's the official badge to let you know that you'll be previewing Amy's Sweet November June releases with Amy (Creator), Nancy Thomas (SN DTM) and ME!!!! Tomorrow is the kick off and you'll want to hit these wonderful ladies' blogs and the ATS blog too for previews... Sweet November will officially be released on Sunday, June 5th at 9pm CST at All That Scraps! Mark your calendars!!

can't leave you without a creation....
i was lucky to have won Virgo, from Amy's zodiac girls release in March on her blog... it was love at first sight and then love at first stamp! hehe! i totally LOVE this image and have deemed it my most FAVE of Amy's Sweet November images... Virgo has this island beauty glow which has drawn me to love her even more.... fabulous to color with copics (or any other medium you use) and gorgeous in any color scheme... i chose to go with bright tropical colors that refelect the beautiful flowers and scenery around Hawaii... Bo Bunny's Vicki B line perfectly helped me bring these colors out... Ahhhh! awesome way to start summer! (the crafting part)...

be sure to join me this week as we will be having SN previews for the rest of the week that will surely make a splash of an entrance to your SUMMER!! Previews start tomorrow!!

Felt Flowers....

Happy Sunday Everyone!! i have to admit... with school getting out on a Thursday and a 3 day weekend, i have my days sorta mixed! hehe! oh well... main thing is it's enjoyable right?!

apologizing for the lack of posting... with summer officially starting as of Friday, i was catching up on some family time... Friday we went to watch Kung Fu Panda 2 with the DDs... so CUTE and the girls LOVED it! Mommy and Daddy did too... we ended the day with the girls doing a quick ride around the mall on this cute little train... something new that the mall will be having on Fridays... then yesterday we had another family day spent at the ocean center.... this time the lil' man got to join in... here's a pix of the kiddies before we started our adventure....

we had LOTS of fun there.... lil' man was interested in some of it... things that really caught his eyes... oh especially the huge deep water tank where all the sharks roam... he had a kick out of that... =D and of course my days ended with craft time... LOTS of it... boy am i trying to touch up everything... managed to finish this card too....
ATS challenge this week is FELT! i knew i had a stash of some felt things somewhere and glad that i found it... the 2 felt flowers with the rhinestone middles don't really match on this card, but that's pretty much all i could find... at first i thought the clouds were felt, but after touching it, it didn't really feel like felt... idk! LOL... anyway, i used CC Designs Gretel and Butterfly Fence as my image choices... used my MS flower border punch and even punched and cut the different colored flowers... whoa, so time consuming... hehe... i tried to use very subtle DP so that it wasn't too busy and the main focus would be my little flower garden scene... overall, even if the felt flowers didn't quite match, i'm happy with the results of this card! =D

that's it from me for now.... need to get some shut eye.... the morning (after some sleep) will be another busy day, house cleaning for summer... ugh, i think i feel a cold coming on.. haha! stay tuned for an exciting week here with LOTS of happening and sharings... and come back tomorrow for a new challenge at Lollipop Crafts with some important info.... ta-ta!!

Monday, May 23, 2011

Hey dude!

{2nd post. Please scroll down for Lollipop Crafts challenge. Thank you!!}

Hiya!! i'm back again with a creation i was suppose to post on Sunday... hehe... better late than never...

so i'm seeing lots of mini pizza boxes these days and i'm seriously admiring all the wonderful designs... i've received a few myself and just LOVE it... it's big enough to fill up with lots of treats... i would say it's the newest craze... hehe! after receiving my pizza boxes i told myself i had to try it... of course i procrastinated... then i saw this week's Wednesday challenge at ATS... Mini Pizza Boxes.... after debating if i would have time to try it, i thought it would be a perfect gift for end of school year thank yous... so i pushed myself and made one....
ok, so after deciding to do one, my next thing was "what was i going to do?!" well TGF FFCB Farm Fresh Challenge this week is Summer Lovin' and that gave me some inspiration too.... ah-ha!! perfect since we're ending the school year and going into summer.... then i thought of the perfect thing to create for DD1's A+ leader!! Surf's up!

so i pulled out TGF's surfer Ian and some mango luau Bo Bunny paper (wish i bought more when the line was still available, i LOVE it) and started working.... it was difficult since i had a cut-out sheet of the DP instead of actual solid (one print) DP... i was limited to what i could use... but all worked out... i used the cuttlebug mesh embossing folder, circle and scallop circle nesties, some raffia (to keep the box and card closed) and i cut out the little 'surfing' sign from the DP too... the 'hey dude' sentiment is from My Guy Ian which is also a set from TGF.... Ian is popped up using pop up dots... i love the dimensional look!! hehe...
ok so if you're looking at the box in the first picture, you'd think that's just one piece on the front... but actually the top is a card... this is the inside... again i used part of the DP (it was printed like this) to use as a little area to write a note... so i simply did up my card and adhered it to the box front...
and this is the box opened.... filled with yummy yummies.... i plan to hit starbucks to get some GC to add to this thank you, have a cool summer treat too!!

i'm telling you, these boxes are awesome... holds alot, as you can see and you can decorate it in any way you want... i'm already starting on one for DD1's teacher....

alright, i'm going to surf on out of here and surf the net... hehe!! come back tomorrow for the second box...

Copics notepad

ok!! where did the weekend go?!?! guess it wasn't a very good one so i didn't pay much attention to the time or days.... LOL... oh well... weekend is in the past now... i hope you had a fantastic weekend doing whatever it was that you were doing!!!

sorry for the lack of posting... with blogger having some issues, i had my share too... so i tried to avoid blogger while the kinks were being fixed... even tried to leave some comments, but my dashboard was totally whacked!! i had posts from people showing up, but they posted it like days ago... WOW! yah i didn't want to deal with the frustration.... hehe... and then, one of my postings went back into draft form... arrrghhh! i'll have to fix that too!

got to craft a bit over the weekend... whenever i could get some free time to do so.... with 2 kiddies sick, not much could be done... but i do thank my mom for helping me out Saturday night with the kiddies... she gave me some time to craft in peace, while someone else decided they didn't have responsibilities... um yah! not going there.... LOL

i was in much need of a notepad or book or something to keep track of the Copics i've been collecting... especially when i go craft shopping... not knowing what i already have lead me to buying doubles or even wrong fillers... LOL..
this is a small notepad i put together using my Cinch and measures approx. 3x5... i have yet to add labels so i can easily find pages, but i did add all the Copic colors i have so far... =D using one of the Anyas from TGF's Miss Anya Collection and the challenge over at ATS - Paper Piecing, i was able to make a fun notepad... a lot of these papers are scrap, which made it MORE fun, trying to figure out how to use them... even the ribbon on the wire are scraps... used some sticker letters to spell out Copics, added some bling and i was pretty satisfied... can you tell what is paper pieced??? man i had to ask myself why i chose such a hard part to paper piece....

hey and i even got to use it today when i went craft shopping with my mom... yes i went shopping for Copics!! our local Ben Franklin Crafts store now sells Copic sketch, so i went to pick up a few (more).... LOL... i went the other day too!

well, i'm gonna try and attempt to get more crafting done... we'll see who will be nice!! check me out a bit later for an LC posting!! Have a wonderful rest of Sunday and a happy new week!!

Valentine's?!?!

or something like that!! It's Friday and i'm so excited to be going off on my mini vacay!!! Thank you so much everyone for your comments on my lil' monkey!! It was a great celebration in honor of boys' day... my son is indeed the first boy in 2 generations so my fam was totally excited...

i'm here today with an even bigger celebration... HAPPY 10th (5th) ANNIVERSARY to my WONDERFUL HUSBAND!!! Yes, we are celebrating 10 years of being together 5 of which we made it official... lots of ups and downs and run arounds, but still strong and still in love... so here is the card i made for him in honor of our special day!!!
does look like a valentine's card... hehe!! red and black is his favorite colors and it was our wedding colors too.... he's not too fond of glitter and bling, so i left a lot of that out and kept it pretty simple... i thought Miss Dressy Anya from TGF was a great gal to use, don't you think?!? the sentiment if from Hero Arts... hope he likes it!

also entering this into this week's ANYTHING GOES challenge over at ATS.... check out the official deets on their blog and play along with the challenge...

alrighty.... time for me to say goodbye for now.... i'll be back before you know it... don't forget to join me on Monday for another FAB challenge at Lollipop Crafts!! Have a SUPER TERRIFIC weekend!!!

Gifts... gifts... CRAFTS!

Oh me, oh MY! this was suppose to be posted early this AM.... but indeed i'm pulling long nights this week, i was too tired to post.... SORRY!! i needed some sleep... =D

so yes... staying up at early hours trying to finish up this and that for the craft fair on Sunday.... if you're on Maui, Ben Franklin's Spring Craft Fair is this Sunday (5/1) at War Memorial Gym from 9am-2pm.... Awesome crafts, ono snacks and make 'n takes with the BF crew!! come out and check it out!

now back to my post... i'm sharing some more memo paper holders today, that have seemed to have taken me longer to accomplish than the first batch i did a few weeks ago.... but i guess i wasn't concetrating on them like the last time and i've procrastinated too much this time... hehe!
this was the first one i made this round... and i entered it into the TGF FFCB WOW Challenge issued last week, which was NO PINK! aw, come on, that was hard... LOL.... i LOVE pink!!
here's a few more... featuring different images from CC Designs, TGF, and my old faithful sizzix friend, Hello Kitty... (i forgot how time consuming putting HK together can be) made about 10 total, but failed to photograph all of it since i was packaging them as i was completing it... photos don't come out so well with the package... eek! anyway, these are great gifts for Mother's Day or Teacher's Appreciation Day or those just because moments... each holder measures 3 1/4 x 5 1/4 and includes 50 blank sheets and a ball point pen... and they will be available for sale at the craft fair... or email me if interested.... =D
no onto some fun sharing.... Easter Sunday was a blast for me and my family... it was a really busy one but we enjoyed every minute of it... started off with mass and a baptismal... then a birthday party... and we ended the day coming home to color eggs, hide them and then frost some yummy cupcakes! party cake!! my kids fave!
mmmm, and milk choclate frosting..... yum yum yum! better work off those calories....
here's the girls getting crafty with frosting cupcakes... i think they enjoyed this part more than coloring eggs... hehe! DD2 decided to load the chocolate on her last cupcake, dump out 1/4 of the sprinkles and just eat that.... and by that, i mean just the frosting and sprinkles... LOL... silly girl! she does that with donuts too...

alrighty! time to head on out.... back to the craft room that is... i have to admit that i'm looking forward to getting back into a regular schedule that includes some adequate sleep, but for the time being, i'm enjoying every moment crafting!! it will smooth out soon! oh and i'm SO counting down the days until my mini vacay!! can't wait to see the dolls!!!! so until my next post.... SMILE!!!

i had this sweetie TGF Creeper Crew Tuesday for a long while and haven't had the chance to ink her up... i LOVE her "oops!" or "did i do that?" look and decided to use her for a fun belated card... i followed the CASE-ing of Stampcatwg over at TGF FFCB for Mystery Monday, using her sketch/layout on her card... LOVE it! and again i pulled out the fun and colorful papers from Bo Bunny's Vicki B.... the sentiment was computer generated and i used the scrap DPs to make my own flower by using my layered flowers sizzix die and crumbling it to give it a weathered look... this creation is being submitted for the following challenges:

1. TG FFCB Mystery Monday - Case Stampcatwg

2. ATS - Make your own flower(s)

Doomo...

**Second post for today... please scroll down to check out what's taggin'! Thank you!!**

Hello again!! thanks for all the fabulous comments on my tags... it was really fun in the making... so last night during one of our virtual gatherings, my dear friend Cami gave me a push to create something with one of my new craft toys... and if she didn't, it would have still been in the box... LOL... so here it is....
using Geisha Anya from TGF (boy did i have a hard time coloring her hair) she was a perfect pair to some things NEW... new as is my new MS cherry blossom border punch, washi paper, sentiment from Dandelion Designs and some new pearls (as in i had to buy more)... can't tell in the photo but i dabbed some glitter in the centers of the blossoms and also on the flowers on her kimono... the blossoms around the sentiment was just pieces i cut off from the border...

lots of 'new' on this creation... after a bit of debating i've decided to gives this a go for a few challenges....

1. TGF's Farm Fresh Challenges - Farm Fresh Friday - Into the NEW

2. All That Scraps - Anything Goes

Oh and i surprised my self by completing the inside too.... =D
used 2 different sizes of sakura (cherry blossom) stamps and lavender and angel pink memento ink and stamped the images on the white CS... then i added this sentiment from Hero Arts (another new thing i recently bought). whatcha think?

alright... time for me to hit the chores and then get ready for a busy wednesday afternoon... come back tomorrow for another creation!! Have a GREAT day and THANKS for visiting!!!
