Party Like a ROCKSTAR!

{{Please scroll down to view Lollipop Crafts Challenge #53. Thank you!!}}

Back again!! today is a VERY special day for my little sister!! yes, my "little" sister... i remember having to tag her along with me when she was about DD2's age... taking her to the mall when i would go hang out with friends, picking her up from school, taking her shopping and all that good stuff... my little sister and I are many years apart (no i'm not going to give away my age, LOL) just know that is more than the norm... and today she turns the big SWEET 16!!!! gosh i feel really old.... hahaha!!! ok, maybe i'll feel even older when she hits the big 2-1... LOL.... easy now, i can wait for that!

in honor of her special day i created this very special card for her....
basing my creation on the Monday Fun-Day challenge at TGF's FFCB which was to use BLACK, WHITE and ONE other color, i went with purple, since that is my sis' FAVE color... deciding what image to use for her, i had Creeper Abbey on my wishlist and was lucky enough to purchase her from TGF a few weeks ago... Creeper Abbey reminds me so much of my sister so it wasn't a matter of wanting this stamp, it turned into a NEED... hehe... a little about why this image... my sis won't call herself being in the 'gothic' stages in her life because she doesn't really dress on what you would picture a gothic person to look like... but she does put on some heavy eye liner, dresses funky (converse shoes a must) and yes she does have purple streaks in her hair (her bangs).... now you know why i colored the image the way i did... it's a reflection of her... =D i pulled out some K&Co halloween papers (this year's line) for the black and white BG and the polka dot purple circles... i also took a lighter shade of purple CS, embossed it with Cuttlebug's swirls folder and punched smaller circles... distressed the edges of the image lightly with Memento Grape Jelly ink and layered that onto a lacey oval SB... the sentiment is from a clear stamp line but i apologize because i can't remember which one... need something to be added in the top left hand corner and dew drops fit perfectly... hope my sister likes this card!! Happy Sweet 16 Jess!!! We love you!!! =D

well, i THANK YOU again for stopping by and checking out my creation!! hope i inspired you in some way to get crafty today!! until next time.... toodles!

Having a blast!

Tadduh!!! told yah i'd be back.... =D

ok so today's sharing is something that took me a little more than 24 hours to complete due to stopping in between for mommy duties and breaks, but i'm very pleased with the outcome... puzzling in a few factors like me wanting to play in a challenge and having to create some samples for Ben Franklin Crafts Paper Party, i went to the extreme in creating something for that special little man in my life....

the challenge this was prepared for is TGF's FFCB Farm Fresh Friday challenge DOUBLE DUTY!! use 2 or more TGF stamps on your creation.... easy right?! maybe not for me this time... LOL... it's easy to use 2 or more of the cutie girly stamps on an approach to creating something really girly, but this time i challenged myself to make something for a boy... in that department i am a bit.... what's the word?? guess i could use challenged! LOL.... and here is the outcome.....
talk about extreme... layers and layers of the Bo Bunny Blast Off collection... it's a little hanging wall frame thing-a -majig... what is it really called?? anyway, i added 2 photos to show you that they are for pictures... Astronaut and Skater Ian helped to showcase my boyish theme... minus Astronaut's flag and Skater's skateboard... i'm so use to grabbing bling and glitz to add to my creations that i had to stop a few times and remind myself this is for my lil' boy... hehe! so i went with some dew drops and buttons... the mid section is also for pictures, but i couldn't find any to fit the frames right now... the frames are cut out with nesties and i added acetate to the back of the frame so the pictures won't get too dusty or ruined by exploring hands... i had fun playing with the different shapes and just swinging it... and all the holes were delicately planned out with trial and error using my cinch... love that thing! used my cropadile to add eyelets for a sturdier hold... and that's it... a little busier on the layout than i usually do, but i like it! what do you think of this??? thinking outside my zone again!!

ok, does anyone want to take a guess at what demo this creation is for?? hint, not what you normally would think by just looking at it!! hehe, is your mind racing again?! wanna know the answer, stop by tomorrow for the second project.... thanks for sharing a part of your day with me and i'll see you back here tomorrow!!

Syren's time to shine...

It's Aloha Friday.... nothing to do until Monday... doo do do doo doo... HA! yah if only.... but it is Friday and that means the weekend is finally here!! it seemed like a long week but yet it flew by so fast... just have to enjoy the time while we can...

i've been hoarding Syren from TGF for a few months now and she was ready to break free and shine in time.... so with the help of TGF's FFCB WOW Sketch challenge this week, i was able to make that possible....
my hubs thinks she's kinda scary, but i like to think that she's a model of some sort... you know, those pictures where the models don't really smile?? hehe, overall i think she's fabulous! and a definite FAVE from TGF's creeper line...

had some difficulties using her though... as soon as i inked her i knew the colors i wanted to use and immediately colored her... then my challenge was what papers to use... after digging through my scraps, at least twice, i finally found somethig suitable... the red CS behind the strips is regular CS that i embossed using my tiny bubbles folder... the "fintastic" sentiment is from the Down by the Pond set, also available at TGF... can't tell from the pix, but i blended a few shades of orange... you can barely see the light spots (even IRL) but i like it! and i went a little crazy and embossed her body to make it look like scales... see...
thought it made a cool touch of texture... =D

well happy friday everyone!! i hope you are looking forward to the weekend... i know i am... bbq with the besties for the hubby's bday and some crafting.... always great!! gonna take a posting break for the weekend and be back on Monday for some new sharings... hopefully that gives me time to create, create, CREATE!!

alrighty... time to start off my day... need to go and see what i can snag from the BF sale... hehe! see you all soon!

Will you be my Prince?

i'm very sure you all have seen the new June release at TGF with the 2 new princess images!! FABULOUS right?! there is a ROYAL contest happening over there and the first week theme was Fairy Tale... i just had to participate because really, we all have some fairy tale dream... why not live it through crafting... =D
i just knew TGF's Twinkle Tot Ava was the best pick for my version of a fairy tale... she is one of my favorites from that specific line and the image screams Princess and the frog... of course because she is kissing a frog! i saved up some rub ons from Imaginisce Fairy Tale line and that is what my background consists of... from the castle, to the clouds and that little grass hill... even the first layer (the pink flourish paper) is from the CS that was packaged with the rub ons... i generated the sentiment on the computer and layered it onto yellow CS to replicate the sun... and added just a hint of yellow stickles to the edge for some shine... glitter is also found on her tiara and the frog's cheek... and PEARLS! a Princess needs pearls!! hmm, perhaps this could be a twist for Valentine's Day... instead of "will you be my Valentine?" it will be "will you be my Prince?"

another creation comes your way, but not until tomorrow.... thank you for visiting today and thank you for all the wonderful comments!! i LOVE reading them and they always put me in a happier mood! toodles for now (with my best curtsey)!!

Chloe gone green!

practice makes perfect!! although "perfect" rarely exist for me! hehe! i'm jus' sayin'!! today i'm goin' green with TGF's Fairy Chloe that i was lucky enough to collect before she was discontinued... this creation was made for TGF FFCB - WOW challenge - Monochromatic last week...
besides representin' the "GREEN" cause with color, the papers and ribbons are scrap too, so i consider that going green, hehe... i'm a serial scrap hoarder because you just never know when a piece, even the tiniest, will be needed... i admit my "green" practice doesn't always work and when the time comes to really clean out the craft room i usually throw it away and start new... i know, bad right?! hence why i said perfect rarely exists... LOL... LO is simple and i can't remember where the sentiment is from... but i hope Chloe's magic dust will work on brightening someone's day!

tomorrow we're going to take a trip to fairy tale land and help a cutie find her prince!! thanks for coming by to visit!! hope you come back soon....

Congrats Class of 2011!

this past saturday, my cousin celebrated her graduation from Kamehameha Schools Maui!! it was a BEAUTIFUL event! she didn't go with the whole school colors or "star" themed for her party, but instead went with cherry blossoms and pink and black! i was very much in love with the theme and all of the centerpieces and fillers and it was totally different than a regular grad party... it was simple, easy and elegant! they had taiko drummers and a live well-known local band for entertainment... a slide show and even a photo booth!! way cool and the atmosphere was fun! CONGRATS Ashley and all the graduates of 2011!!
in celebration of her graduation, here is the card i made... using TGF's Digi Grad Anya and last week's TGF FFCB Mystery Monday case-ing Kim Yu, i was able to put this together quickly.... love Kim's card and i decided to use her LO... i tried to stick with the blues as my cousin's school colors are blue and white... the sentiment is from Hero Arts...

well, that's it from me today! tomorrow we are going green.... see you soon!

Christmas!! Christmas!!!

is she really doing a Christmas card already? YES i am!! hehe!! never too early... LOL

actually i made this card for TGF's FFCB Farm Fresh Friday challenge last week which was to create a FAV Holiday... after much discussion about what really was my fave holiday, i went with Christmas...
on this card i used TGF's Snow Anya paired with some pretty (sorta non-traditional) color DP... LOVE this pretty paper and glad i stashed it away... the colors are fun and lively... the white parts of her coat and boots are flocked and can't really tell just looking at the pix but there is some glitter on the image too... i found the snowflake charm in my charm stash and the sentiment is from Studio G... got a little playful with the LO as i wanted to use as much of the different DPs i could possibly fit!

so why is Christmas my fave holiday?!? well, there is sentimentally reasons for other holidays too, like thanksgiving, a day of thanks and Easter, but Christmas is one holiday i feel we can celebrate longer than a day... yes it has a specific day, but we get to enjoy the season for months before that day even comes... i LOVE looking at lights that decorate houses and trees, and the decorations set up at malls... it truly is the MERRIEST time of year... and if you're like me, i put up my tree on Thanksgiving day so i can enjoy it longer... if i really had my way, the tree would stay up all year... LOL... only thing missing is a "white" Christmas... if only it snowed in Hawaii... our white Christmas is purely RAIN!! LOL...

come back and visit tomorrow for another card creation!! don't want to overwhelm you too much!! hehe! Thanks for stopping by!!

Christmas already?!?

Nope! but trying to get a head start! LOL!! is it too early?! hehe! why the Christmas card you ask??? you'll just have to read on to find out! Hope you are enjoying the 3 day weekend (for those who have Memorial day as a holiday/day off)... i surely enjoyed mine and can't believe it's Monday already... Let's us be thankful today and honor those we have loved and lost...

Monday challenge at Lollipop Crafts and it's a new and exciting one that you have ALL MONTH long to play along... yep, you read it right! LC is breaking for Summer for some much needed family and rest time, so you have until June 29th to link up to this challenge for a chance to win an AWESOME prize... You can find more deets about this announcement on the LC blog... be sure to be a follower so you can get all the info posted on that blog....

Challenge #41 is hosted this week by Lollipop Girl Denise and she is challenging you to be INSPIRED BY A SONG... any song, a favorite, random or a song with sentimental value.... YOU MUST INCLUDE a versus or line to signify what song inspired your creation....
Our awesome sponsor for this month long challenge is Bugaboo and they are giving away 7 digis to one LUCKY random winner!! There will be a spotlight on Bugaboo this Thursday on LC so don't forget to check that out! Again, all the deets can be found on the LC blog so make your way there and stop by the Lollipop Girls blogs to view their fabulous creations this week!

here' mine...
can you guess what song inspired my creation?!? haha! dead giveaway!!! anyway, while prepping my card for this challenge i stumbled across TGF's Cheeky Christmas set and knew what song i had in mind... then i went in between 2 songs... Santa Baby or Merry Christmas Darling.... no matter what time of year it is, i'm always singing Merry Christmas Darling in my head (one of my FAVE Christmas melodies) so that was a given... i used sketch #4 over at TGF's FFCB WOW challenge and went searching for some Christmas scraps... and that made my card! i fun flocked all the white parts of the image, computer generated the sentiment, punched and layered some snowflakes, gave a little glitz on her eyelids, embossed the white circle she is against and tadduh!! easy peasy... then after making this card, many other songs (not Christmas related) kept coming to mind, but i've been so busy this weekend i couldn't fit in to work on another...

Thank you for visiting... enjoy the rest of today and come back here tomorrow (unless by some miracle i have another creation done, LOL) for more exciting news... stay tuned because it's going to be a fun filled crafty week with things you don't want to miss!!

Hey dude!

{2nd post. Please scroll down for Lollipop Crafts challenge. Thank you!!}

Hiya!! i'm back again with a creation i was suppose to post on Sunday... hehe... better late than never...

so i'm seeing lots of mini pizza boxes these days and i'm seriously admiring all the wonderful designs... i've received a few myself and just LOVE it... it's big enough to fill up with lots of treats... i would say it's the newest craze... hehe! after receiving my pizza boxes i told myself i had to try it... of course i procrastinated... then i saw this week's Wednesday challenge at ATS... Mini Pizza Boxes.... after debating if i would have time to try it, i thought it would be a perfect gift for end of school year thank yous... so i pushed myself and made one....
ok, so after deciding to do one, my next thing was "what was i going to do?!" well TGF FFCB Farm Fresh Challenge this week is Summer Lovin' and that gave me some inspiration too.... ah-ha!! perfect since we're ending the school year and going into summer.... then i thought of the perfect thing to create for DD1's A+ leader!! Surf's up!

so i pulled out TGF's surfer Ian and some mango luau Bo Bunny paper (wish i bought more when the line was still available, i LOVE it) and started working.... it was difficult since i had a cut-out sheet of the DP instead of actual solid (one print) DP... i was limited to what i could use... but all worked out... i used the cuttlebug mesh embossing folder, circle and scallop circle nesties, some raffia (to keep the box and card closed) and i cut out the little 'surfing' sign from the DP too... the 'hey dude' sentiment is from My Guy Ian which is also a set from TGF.... Ian is popped up using pop up dots... i love the dimensional look!! hehe...
ok so if you're looking at the box in the first picture, you'd think that's just one piece on the front... but actually the top is a card... this is the inside... again i used part of the DP (it was printed like this) to use as a little area to write a note... so i simply did up my card and adhered it to the box front...
and this is the box opened.... filled with yummy yummies.... i plan to hit starbucks to get some GC to add to this thank you, have a cool summer treat too!!

i'm telling you, these boxes are awesome... holds alot, as you can see and you can decorate it in any way you want... i'm already starting on one for DD1's teacher....

alright, i'm going to surf on out of here and surf the net... hehe!! come back tomorrow for the second box...

Sweet Treats!

It's ALOHA Friday!!! yes it is!!! i'm looking forward to the weekend as lots of things are going on.... not looking forward to the prep work, but nonetheless the weekend is here.... =D it's been an incredible bumpy week and i'm still searching for some quiet time... well, i've been putting in some overtime in the craft room to relax my mind on some things... it has been a win-win situation.... and has helped bunches... didn't think about "those" things too much and i got a lot of stuff done....

kiddies are feeling better and DD1 is looking forward to her birthday party tomorrow... i am too.... be nice to see family and friends... maybe that's what i need right now... =D hoping it all goes smoothly....

so, DD1's birthday party was not expected to be an actual party... i was thinking somewhere along lunch at the park or something small... however, daddy gave in and went for a jumping castle and a few more friends added to the list... AAHHH! so we're having it at home... on such short notice, i wasn't able to do invites myself or other things like huge amounts of favors, etc... but i wanted to do atleast something small... the kiddies all get treat bags filled with goodies but what about the adults right?!? hehe... after spinning and blurfing on what to create, i saw the Mystery Monday challenge at TGF's FFCB and got some inspiration there.... this week they are CASE-ing a creation from Mariska.... i love the way she did her card... it's long style and i really like it... so i twisted it a bit and made candy wrappers.... (click on picture to make bigger)
DD1's theme is iCarly and it was hard to find things here to match so i just used the cutesy TGF Sweet Tooth set (note this set is no longer available at TGF).... LOVE the little monkey with her surprised expression... found some pretty glittered My Mind's Eye Party Theme scraps in a theme of stars and circles and the colors are pretty close to the iCarly stuff i got on Oahu, so it worked out well... basically all i did was measure the candy bar... used solid CS to make the base... and added my layers... the wrappers have 2 different DP scraps on them to off set colors and/or the prints... majority of them have some kind of 'star' print... computerized a little thank you note and voila!!! made about 20 of these in 2 days.... phew... thank goodness it's done... i was only going to make 12, but like i said, the list grew, so a run to the store for more candy bars is a must today.... do you likey?! i think it's simple and cute... ok, kinda simple... hehe...

yikes! it's off to bed for me... DD1 has May Day today and it's the first one since she's been in elementary that i'm able to attend!! looking forward to watching her dance and see her final project that she did for the lei contest...

Have a FAB Friday and a wonderful weekend.... stay tuned for more sharings...... Happy Aloha Friday!!

To my teacher....

{2nd post in less than 24hours. Please scroll down to view my creation for ATS. Thank you!}

THANKS!!!

Hello friends!! It's Monday and by now you know what that means!! New challenge at Lollipop Crafts!! Woohoo!!

Lollipop Gal Juelmarie is hosting Challenge #39 this week and she wants you to create a card/project with THANKS to an educator/babysitter, etc... what does that mean?!? well, off the back you could definitely create something to say THANKS to a teacher (especially in Hawaii where there is only 9 days of school left) or maybe a counselor, principal or librarian... Anyone who educates.. babysitter you ask?! well, a babysitter is definitely like a teacher... especially those that run day cares... they don't really push academics, but they surely enforce the rules of life like socializing, please and thank you... so who will you THANK?
Our wonderful sponsor this week is Robyn's Fetish... offering awesome digital images for any occasion... check out the LC blog on Thursday for a spotlight on this week's sponsor.... and after visiting with me, be sure to check out the fabulous creations by the rest of the team on the LC blog today...
and here's my creation... a perfect Thank you card to DD1's teacher at the end of the school year!! 9 more days of school! i can't believe it!! now i ask myself again... where did all the time go?!?!? TGF's Annika was waiting to see some ink and be brought to life.... i have a stack of DCWV Grade School paper and and pulled out a few sheets which compliment this challenge to perfection... always stumped to do a layout, i used the the WOW Sketch #3 on TGF's FFCB... LOVE it! can you see the ABC 123 border punch?! blends into the papers a bit, hehe!! sentiment is from Dandelion Designs... colors are really blasting on this card so i kept it really simple... no glitters, no embellies... kinda CAS....

come and join us... all the deets for this challenge can be found on the LC blog... so head over there now!

my time is up, got lots to do... be back soon!! until then, have a wonderful day!!

2 folds... or more...

Hello Monday!! wow, the weekend surely flew by... i'm not sure if i'm thankful for that or not! back from vacay, back to reality and i'll just say the vacay wasn't as expected... i'm not even going to attempt to get into that... haha! but i do hope all you mothers and mothers to be out there had a wonderful day for special YOU!!!

So yes, whether i like it or not it is Monday and that means a new challenge is issued at Lollipop Crafts! Lollipop Girl Mimi, is hosting this week and here is what she wants you to create! Challenge #38 - More than ONE fold... yup that's right! she wants you to create a card with more than ONE fold... time to hit up those tri folds, shutters, easel or whatever, but it has to have 2 or more folds... got it?! got it!
Our wonderful sponsor for this week is Softpencil!! Please check out the LC blog for the prize info and how to play along and while there, why not show some love to the rest of the DT... i didn't feature one of their images today, but come back on Thursday and i'll have something for you...

I decided to do a tri fold card for this challenge and here's what i came up with....

a card for my Mommy! i used this cutesy Anya from TGF's Miss Anya Love set along with this sentiment from TGF's Butterfly Wishes set...

and here is the inside... i'm not sure of the maker of this sentiment... i found it in my sentiment stash and didn't even look at the label... i wanna say Anna's but not quite sure...

anyway, i'm also entering this into TGFFFCB Farm Fresh Friday Throwback Challenge.... take the link and check out the deets on this challenge... there are some exclusions so be sure to make sure you understand it first...

short and sweet today.... i have a lot to do (such as clean up) and lots to catch up on since i took a vacay... so for now i have to say.... 'toodles'.... be back tomorrow with some sharings...

Gifts... gifts... CRAFTS!

Oh me, oh MY! this was suppose to be posted early this AM.... but indeed i'm pulling long nights this week, i was too tired to post.... SORRY!! i needed some sleep... =D

so yes... staying up at early hours trying to finish up this and that for the craft fair on Sunday.... if you're on Maui, Ben Franklin's Spring Craft Fair is this Sunday (5/1) at War Memorial Gym from 9am-2pm.... Awesome crafts, ono snacks and make 'n takes with the BF crew!! come out and check it out!

now back to my post... i'm sharing some more memo paper holders today, that have seemed to have taken me longer to accomplish than the first batch i did a few weeks ago.... but i guess i wasn't concetrating on them like the last time and i've procrastinated too much this time... hehe!
this was the first one i made this round... and i entered it into the TGF FFCB WOW Challenge issued last week, which was NO PINK! aw, come on, that was hard... LOL.... i LOVE pink!!
here's a few more... featuring different images from CC Designs, TGF, and my old faithful sizzix friend, Hello Kitty... (i forgot how time consuming putting HK together can be) made about 10 total, but failed to photograph all of it since i was packaging them as i was completing it... photos don't come out so well with the package... eek! anyway, these are great gifts for Mother's Day or Teacher's Appreciation Day or those just because moments... each holder measures 3 1/4 x 5 1/4 and includes 50 blank sheets and a ball point pen... and they will be available for sale at the craft fair... or email me if interested.... =D
no onto some fun sharing.... Easter Sunday was a blast for me and my family... it was a really busy one but we enjoyed every minute of it... started off with mass and a baptismal... then a birthday party... and we ended the day coming home to color eggs, hide them and then frost some yummy cupcakes! party cake!! my kids fave!
mmmm, and milk choclate frosting..... yum yum yum! better work off those calories....
here's the girls getting crafty with frosting cupcakes... i think they enjoyed this part more than coloring eggs... hehe! DD2 decided to load the chocolate on her last cupcake, dump out 1/4 of the sprinkles and just eat that.... and by that, i mean just the frosting and sprinkles... LOL... silly girl! she does that with donuts too...

alrighty! time to head on out.... back to the craft room that is... i have to admit that i'm looking forward to getting back into a regular schedule that includes some adequate sleep, but for the time being, i'm enjoying every moment crafting!! it will smooth out soon! oh and i'm SO counting down the days until my mini vacay!! can't wait to see the dolls!!!! so until my next post.... SMILE!!!

Oops!! Am I Late?

Hey everyone!! hope you all are enjoying your Good Friday!! thank goodness it's the weekend, although it will be super busy for me, i'm looking forward to it!

i've been having fun playing with challenges this week... i should be working on craft fair stuff, but haven't really been in the mood... mkaing cards and playing challenges are so much more fun! hehe... i'll get moving on the fair stuff this weekend... if that's possible...
i had this sweetie TGF Creeper Crew Tuesday for a long while and haven't had the chance to ink her up... i LOVE her "oops!" or "did i do that?" look and decided to use her for a fun belated card... i followed the CASE-ing of Stampcatwg over at TGF FFCB for Mystery Monday, using her sketch/layout on her card... LOVE it! and again i pulled out the fun and colorful papers from Bo Bunny's Vicki B.... the sentiment was computer generated and i used the scrap DPs to make my own flower by using my layered flowers sizzix die and crumbling it to give it a weathered look... this creation is being submitted for the following challenges:

1. TG FFCB Mystery Monday - Case Stampcatwg

2. ATS - Make your own flower(s)

oh and i got happy mail from my hubby!! an early anniversary present!! i just LOVE it! look...
after this pix was taken i snapped it right onto my phone! Thanks babes!

In(k) Distress!

OMGoodness!! Wednesday already!! i can't keep up with the days... it's another busy week for me... but when isn't it?!

new challenge over at TGF FFCB for Farm Fresh Friday... this week's challenge is to DISTRESS!! now that's something i need to learn how to do... and i don't just mean crafting... LOL... can you believe i've NEVER done any distressing on my creations before?! i love the effects of it, both just torn edges and ink distressing, but never tried it for myself... this challenge was a great push to "try" it....
and well, this is how my creation turned out... it was fun to roughen up the edges using the heart attack tool, but wow, when i decided to ink the edges as well, it got a little messy... told you i've never done this technique before... maybe a bit more practice and advice will do me justice!

anyway... i needed to make a birthday card for a party we are attending this weekend and used Oliver from TGF's OA Happy Day set to send the birthday boy some wishes... i apologize for the bad picture... the DP i used is really shimmery and i tried adjusting the exposure, but it wasn't working for me... if you enlarge the pix, you'll be able to see my attempt at distressing a little better... don't laugh ok, it's only my first time... LOL
here's the latest that's been happening in the craft room besides the card above... i had to finish packing up these Easter baskets for my kiddies and their cousins... thankfully i've succeed and now they are ready for Easter.... need to put together a few more Easter goodies for DD1's teacher, A+ leader and Kumu and i'm done!! Yay!!! wonder who's going to help me do that?

i'll be back tomorrow with another creation so until then.... have a beautiful Wednesday and thank you for dropping in!!! Smiles!

This and That...

Hiya!! I was suppose to post about this creations on Sunday, but opted to break over the weekend to 'try' and rest... quote, try, of course it didn't happen... i'm feeling pretty good gaining control on blogging life again and decided that i needed to "make" time to keep up with my blog... it makes me extremely happy to be sharing more often and stopping by to see what everyone is up to... and i've even sneaked in some time to play along with challenges, which i MISS oh so much! with that said, here's a card i made for TGF's FFCB Mystery Mondays CASE-ing Markie's Mom....
i was so surprised and jumping with excitemet to have found out that this card was randomly picked as the winner for that challenge!! WOW-WEE!! Totally made my day!!

Madelyn is my FAVE from the TGF Twinkle Tots line... she's adorable with a bit of sass and total CUTENESS... i CASEd the layout on Markie's Mom's card and see the beautiful crochete flower??? that was made by Kim! Thanks Kim, i finally found the perfect card to use the flower on!! All the DP is a new line that i picked up over the weekend at BF, i can't remember the company but the line is called April's Showers... so pretty for spring themed creations... i'm getting a little better with blending my copics and the more i practice the more satisfied i am with the color results... what do you think about this one?
over the weekend i got a FANTABULOUS surprise RAK from my GF Brenda! Lookie at what she sent for Easter!! i'm sure you've spied these cutie baskets on her blog already, but i'm sharing it again... Thank you Brenda for the CUTE basket and all the yum yums inside... it's my sugar stash for late nights! hehe! Brenda's a pro at whipping up these Cricut Critters...
and last but not least... my lil' monkey wanted to say HI! he's all tickled in laughter... hmmmm, i wonder why?!

ok, time to try and get creative again... i have 2 weeks before the last craft fair... still haven't taken inventory, still unsure of what creations need more of... i think my mojo took a break over the weekend too... trouble is, i think it's still on break! might have to fire that one and find a replacement!! LOL... thanks for coming by today and please come back tomorrow for more sharings!!

I Do....

Yes, "I DO" love making cards!! haha! what did you think i was going to say?! hehe...

i forgot how much fun it is to post on a regular schedule, blog hop and check out my friends creations and HOW MUCH FUN it is to make cards!! the last 2 nights was all about card making, something different from the last 3 months with prepping for craft fairs... i do have one more craft fair to prep for and have been putting off creating for that (yes, i will pay for it in the long run) to enjoy playing some challenges and catching up on some DT work... but now i think it put me in a lazy mood... haha! nope can't let that happen!

anyways, i fell in love with the sketch over at TGF's FFCB for Which One Wednesday... the first sketch on the new challenge blog... it's a great one that i wanted to try and will probably use over again... hop on over there and check it out!

i admit... i had doubts about playing with this color combo (teal and peach/light orange), but once i started putting the card together, i was beginning to LOVE it!... the papers are from Bo Bunny's Olivia collection and really beautiful... at first sight, i thought wedding, so i pulled out Ian and Anya cake topper (one of my MANY faves)... i had one sheet of each print that appealed to me(plus it was double sided) so it worked out perfect with the sketch... and then i found flowers in my bin to match too!! sentiment is from Studio G and pearls add elegance... added a thin line of stickles glitter on her eyelid and a dab on the flowers in her hair... *sigh* i wouldn't mind renewing my vows to have another wedding using these colors.... LOL... won't happen.... i already asked...

alright! time to get back to crafting... i think i should clean up a little though... yah, it's a mess again... Have a fantabulous weekend and i'll be back to share more soon!!

Spook-Tacular Mommy!

Hey!! this is gonna be a hit and run post as i've got to go to an appt. for the lil' man and do some errands...

Wanted to play along with TGF's FFF Halloween challenge this week, but over the weekend i didn't have much time... so i really didn't think i was going to finish a project... but at the very last minute i decided to put my brainstorming together.... too bad i'm not pregnant still for this Halloween as i would have painted my tummy to look like a pumpkin/jack o' lantern.... with that in mind, i came up with this...
i took the pumpkin head from the spooktaclar set and trimmed it to fit over Mommy Anya's tummy... originally i was going to leave the head as is but really, it was HUGE on her... hehe! Mommy Anya serves as my altered image... so in a gloomy and scary theme for halloween, she's perfect to be trick-or-treating with her lil' witch!

i don't have much of a Halloween DP stash so i was forced to be creative... taking some black CS as a base, i used my circle punch to create the moon and my star punch for the little stars in the sky... then i adhered white and yellow CS to the back for color... used a cool gray color to accent the moon (completed by stamping a flyig witch) and added glitter glue to the stars... took the house from the My House set to add a scene... used MS fence and pumpkin borders to add to the house scene too... and took some green cording that i weaved through the fence to look like pumpkin vines.... AND i just had to add a tree... for some reason when i think of eerie halloween scenes, it usually involves a balded tree... LOL
would you go trick or treating at this house??? it's not that scary right?! =D
Thanks for coming by today!! hope i've inspired you to get creative for Halloween! Come back soon! Hugs!

Sharing is caring!

Happy Sunday fellow bloggers! Yes, i was MIA yesterday... i was busy, busy in the craft room trying to finish up some Xmas gifts... No, it's not all complete... LOL... did manage to get in some card making time... and i do have one for you today...

This card is up for FFF - Kadie's No DP or patterned paper challenge... it's hard not to pull out some DP, but i did my best... Made this card for DD#2's 2nd birthday coming up in 2 weeks... i can't believe how time flew by...

I used Madelynn, one of the newly released Twinkle Tots from TGF... she's such a cutie... had this really cute heart ribbon by American Crafts that i based my colors on... no DP right?! so i used some embossing plates to add some texture and design... and wow! i didn't use glitter! i can't believe that.... well, DD#2 is that girly... LOL... used 2 different heart punch sizes to make the hearts... sentiment is from Hero Arts... i don't know why, but i like the color combo... =D

i've always wanted to try adding a stamp image to a candle... and hence i tried it last night.... i used the My House set from TGF... and voila! did my first candle... on the back it says "house warming"... just being silly and wanted to try... it came out okay... the intention is there... house + candle = house warming... LOL...

so this was just a quick little post to share some creations... don't forget my blog candy giveaway is still going on... click here to go to the post... i'll end it here as my craft room is a super mess and i have some things to finish up... hopefully i'll be back to share some other things with you! until then, enjoy this beautiful Sunday!!!

Chocolate Candy Canes Please!

Happy Saturday once again!! in between baking my second batch of mini cheesecakes and chasing after DD#2, i still find time to post... LOL... what can i say, this is my crazy life... but i wouldn't change a thing about it... =D i have yet another sweet creation to share with you... after seeing this digi being used by other creators, i just had to snatch it up too... you can find more great digis at TGF... so again based on the challenge for TGF FFF wild #2 sketch challenge #11, i summoned up this great flap card box CASEd by these wonderful ladies... Joy and Teri... thanks girls for the inspirations...
okay, i didn't use the traditional candy cane colors... my favorite candy cane is the Hershey's chocolate ones.. so i had to make it look like it... =D isn't this image the cutest?!? i LOVE it... sorry i couldn't get a nice picture of just the card front... this was the best out of the shots i did snap... but atleast you can see the slider box with this one...

using copics i colored up this cute duo with Christmas colors... and with this project i added stickles gg to various parts... are you able to see the sketch??!! it was a little hard since i had a smaller space to create with... DPs is from the Merry Mint collection by American Crafts... so yummy!
here's the inside... dreamy sweet treats... the top sentiment says "too much of a good thing is simply wonderful"... i thought it was so cute! and the bottom a simple "Merry Christmas"... i just LOVE these flap card boxes and i know you will too... if you have some time, please visit the girls that inspired me to make this and see what they created with theirs... you'll LOVE it...
oops! i can smell the cheesecake... gottah run to the oven! =D have a SWEET day!!!
