Mystery Challenge and Random Kreations

Happy Monday!!! Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!! It's a new week and a new Mystery Challenge at Club Anya... This week is featuring Angie... OMGoodness! hop on her blog and check out her creations if you have time... absolutely stunning! anywho, her challenge for us this week is "I {heart} Punches"! fabby challenge right?! here's my take on her challenge...
got a new purple pack of CS this weekend... had to play with it... the challenge is to use atleast 2 punches (borders, nesties, dies, etc.) my chosen 2 or 3 were MS scallop punch, Hi emboss/punch and fishy punch... love them fishies... different shades of purple made this card complete... and of course, stickles gg on her tail...
Here's some random cards i made over the weekend... found a stash of flowery DPs for these cards... kept it simple with meaning... i love the softness of these cards... not very busy and to the point...
not quite sure i like my challenge card... may do it over again... so i won't post it in the galleria just yet... finishing up another card for the FFF Sketch 8 Challenge so be sure to come back and check that out... Have a great day friends!

FFF Sketch, DD#2 & RAK

The weekend is here! yipee! a 3 day for me since i had to take Monday off... but again the weekend is here and that means time to get kickin' and play with another TGF FFF Sketch Challenge by Cindy Haffner... and it's a fabulous sketch too...
i love the pink and brown color combo... and i had the perfect DPs to play with... it was really hard for me to keep these cards simple... i didn't want to ruin the colors and prints of the DP... so yes, it looks plain... tried to keep the embellies simple with some flowers and dew drops... and don't forget the little rhinestone on her bow... hmm, is rhinestones my signature?! LOL..
Got a head start on making a bday card for my little sister... well, 14 is not exactly little anymore... so i used the FFF sketch again to make this outrageously PINK bday card! again, kept this simple because the DPs is what the card is made about... didn't want to cover up the wording... so i kept this one simple too just by adding some rhinestones... there i go with the rhinestones again... added some stickles gg to her head band and frosting on the cake... used some clear accents on the plate... cut the present shape with my poor meglected cricut and that's it... everything about it speaks for itself...
her is DD#2... Alia... coloring away on the floor next to my desk... what a naughty little monkey was she this week... she took her drawings to a bigger mural... my walls... thank goodness they're washable crayons... LOL... but how can you be mad at such an innocent face?!?!
last but not forgotten.... here's a wonderful RAK from Colleen... my 1st OCS partner... btw, head on over to Teri's blog and sign up before the swap closes... back to my RAK... i ordered some stamps from her which she sent in this package too... along with a beautiful HK card (which she knows i LOVE HK)... a cute HK purse card that held a HK magnet memo pad and some of her well done ATCs... a spool of beautiful ribbon, HK mini composition tablet, a picture magnet of herself and DH and her prgram from celebrating 10 years of marriage! thanks girl! LOVE it all... and Congrats on 10 years and more... better late than never saying it....
I wish you all a beautiful and crafty weekend! Hubby's away which means i can play (in my craft room all day) LOL... well, after my motherly duties... come back again to see what else i whipped up... Lotsa LOVE to you all!!!

don't laugh at my stitching okay... i tried my best... took me forever too since my sewing machine is still a litte out of it... hmm, might have to ask Santa for one... LOL... i'll try and get yesterday's post into a mini tutorial for you all this weekend.... no promises on timing but i will get one up... Have a great day!!!

Scrappin' around / Flutter by Wednesday #76

One more post for this lovely Wednesday! the weekend is almost here!!! Thank you to everyone who wished my DD #1 well... we are crossing our fingers that the treatment works and nothing further needs to be done... she's resting now with no complaint of pain... so far, it's all good... anyway, while the kiddies were napping this afternoon, i decided to play with some scraps (because i have tons)... here's a little something i created...

looks like a card huh?!!? well, yah, you can use it as a card... when i put the whole thing together, i totally forgot about the ribbon or a way of keeping it closed without covering the front, so i tied it freely with some ribbon... oops!

this is the 2nd flap... tried to keep it plain and simple since when it's closed you can't see anything... had spread a few flower and butterfly scraps around...

here's the inside... the 2 panels are blank for a note or whatever else you might want to add... the cutie image is another digi from Pink Cat Studio... i just love her!!! i actually covered her spots and antennas with stickles GG...

and here's what's under when you lift the flap... a little pouch to put in some images or whatever else might fit inside... maybe even a GC... i used some round velcro to keep the flap closed... used a MS border punch to give some deco to the flap... and more scrap paper to deco the little pouch and BG...
Plus, it's fits into the theme at Flutterby Wednesdays... use a butterfly or fairy and flowers! So this will be my entry....
Hope you all like it! if you sistahs want to know how i did it, let me know and i can try and make a little tutorial for it... but bare with me okay... i did this free hand with scraps... might have to make a few change in measurements... =D thanks for coming by today! aloha 'oe, until we meet again!

DDSC3

Happy midweek!!! i finally got around to play a challenge created by non-other than Jessica's (Whimsical butterfly) kiddies... it's called the Diedrich Dare... this week is a color challenge... use the colors, green, blue and orange... loving the color combo, i've palyed with it before... well, onto my creations...

don't you just love this image?!?! just got it today from the new Pink Cat Studio - Digi Store... yep, that's right, this little witch is a digi... stop by the new store and see what else they've got... wanted to make this little witch-y fun looking... it was perfect for the color challenge... and Halloween to top it off... embossed the green CS with a spider web texture plate and the oragne CS with a starburst texture plate.... added some spider/web ribbon, although it's hidden behind all the layers... hehe, trick or treat?!

here's another card that i made with the color challenge too... also added it to the TGF - Emboss it challenge... the BG DP looks and feels embossed because of all the sparkle... ran the orange and green CS through my big shot using some texture plates... Princess Anya is heat embossed... her star and crown has a little touch of Stickles GG...
my DD #1 wasn't feeling well today... had to take a vacay day to take her to the dr. a little scare but she's alright... so i got to play in the craft room... well, back to my happy place... LOL

Club Anya Challenge

Happy monday!!! now i can really say, Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!!! there's a new challenge happening over at Club Anya... be sure to go on over and take a lookie... it's called Mystery Monday... it's a challenge that a reader/fan of the club gets chosen to give everyone a challenge... for the very first challenge, Joni W was chosen... Her challenge is called Rules of threes... must use the 3 colors pink, white and black and 3 embellishments... i loved the challenge because i got to play with PINK! i LOVE pink... yes, yes my all time fav color is blue, but you can't find pretty blue papers... so here's my take...

was happy to use this beautiful DP i found at my local craft store... i bought 2 sheets, one to use and one to put away for later... hmmm, there's someone else i know that does that too... *wink* i won't say unless she says... LOL... found some charms that i purchased from SU about 5 years ago, so i'm finally putting them to use... if you enlarge the picture you can actually read what the charm says... sorry, my camera isn't all that great... second embellie is the ribbon and the last is the little rhinestone in the middle of her bow... i'll probably add on a sentiment later when i find a good home for this card.. whatcha think?!?!? fastest card i've ever completed... hour and a half tops... okay maybe it was an hour... LOL... well, that's it for today! good night my dear sistahs! sweet dreams!

FFF Challenge

Happy Sunday Friends! Hope everyone had a GREAT weekend!!! it's not over yet, but you know what i mean... Well, i just wanted to share with you some creations i've done over the last couple of nights... these are for the TGF - FFF Challenge... this weeks challenge is "EMBOSS IT"... oh what fun has this been... Went a little crazy creating... even did some of the insides... but i figured, since all my toys are out, why not use them before i put them away... and beware, there is more in progress... LOL...

Here's the handsome Edward... all of the images and sentiments (both in and out) were heat embossed... Also used my stash of texture plates and folders... most of the solid colored cardstock is embossed... i tried not to emboss the DPs...

Thank you, thank you! Loved this card... kept it real simple... main embossing is the BG... used my thank you embossing folder for the front and another for the inside sentiment... tried to use some clear accents... don't look too close, you'll see little air bubbles... =D

i don't know what i was thinking when i made this card... this was actually the first one i made... i didn't add any sentiments yet because i'm not sure what i'll use it for... i was thinking birthday, but then i changed my mind... LOL... the circles are embossed too but you can't really see them under all those layers...

i made up the LO on this one as i was putting it together... i guees it came out okay... this is DD Alia's favorite one... (of course, if you read one of my earlier posts, you'll know the story) she didn't care too much for the color combo but loved the image... the little sun is from a scrap of embossed DP i had, and it went well with the sentiment... the hibiscus inside is heat embossed... i don't really know why i did that, but i did...
See, this is what happens when the DH isn't home... He had to go off island for school yesterday and my mom had my DDs... so i was by my lonesome creating... it was nice... Enjoy the rest of the weekend! may have more done to share with you later! Thanks for stopping by!

FFF Sketch Challenge

It's time for another TGF FFF Sketch Challenge! I'll keep it short!
Here's the second card i made... was feeling a little Christmas-y... found some Christmas DP in my tons of paper... used Princess Anya for this card... found some beautiful snowflake ribbon in my stash... punched little snowflakes and added blue rhinestones... used and old friskars heart border punch... can't really see the sentiment because i stamped it in white ink but it says "let it snow!" paper peiced part of her dress and used stickles gg for the white parts... also added stickles gg to her crown and star wand...what better name to call this card... Snow Princess...
my original sketch card... i just love this darling image! Thanks to Joy! used DP from Imaginisce... some lace lying around... dew drops and buttons... sentiment is "Love you"... tried to stick with soft colors... and i call this card Snuggle Love!
happy Tuesday everyone! Thanks for stoppin' by!

Halloween Treats!

Hope everyone had a GREAT weekend! i sure had a productive one... with all the crafting i did, i'm still back for more... revisted one of my previous post (Halloween is coming) but not before i share something that just melted my heart...

Created by my 6 year old DD Krislen! she just melted my heart... i have it posted on my cork board so i can see it all the time.... i'm so proud of her... we received news that she was chosen for August's Surfer of the Month (student of the month) and her awards assembly is on Thursday... i did make a lei for her stuffed with some of her favorite things, but i'll post that later... it's hiding in the closet right now...

okay, onwards! Ha! LOL, sorry just had to do that...

so like i've said i revisted my original halloween treat box... the sample one i did earlier... after lots of shopping this weekend, i didn't find much to accent this box... picked up some orange ribbon and some halloween stickers... found lots of vellum sheets stashed so i decided to use some of it... i used the same sizzix shaker box die... glued some vellum to the window... punched holes in the side of the box and put ribbon through... that's the inside...

used the glittery stickers i found at BF to give a little accent to the corners of the window... the inside flap is still unfinished... that is where Krislen will write her name... also found some cute disney princess self inking stamps in the halloween section at kmart... she wants to use that on her little note too...
here's a closer view of the inside... sorry gang... pictures are somewhat blury... hinting to the DH, it's time for a new camera... (stuffed one of the kiddie's snacks just to see)

and here's the front... so i switched this image that was originally on the inside to the outside... glued it on to the orange squares i already had cut and texturized (didn't want to waste it) and tied it off to stay closed... what'd yah think?!? a little better huh?!? sorry for the long post (again)... i'm done, i'm done! take care until next time!

Contest of Farewells (loooong post)

Happy Sunday! Hope everyone is still enjoying the weekend! wow! it went by fast... anywho, was busy crafting this weekend and finishing up some cards for the Farewell contest happening at Club Anya! As we switch into fall, the Club Anya DT will be switching out too... The new fall designers will begin their journey on Oct. 1st... So we have the rest of the month with the fabulous first DT... In honor of DT 01, there's a challenge going on right now... so head on over and check it out... Also, there is the September Anya Realease party that will begin tomorrow... Check the Club Anya blog for details... Alright, stopping the blabbering and on to the cards...

so the contest was to case a card by each DT member... a total of 5 cards... play all or play little it's up to you... the 4 main designers and a choice between one of the 3 guest designers... well, i did a total of 7 (one for each guest designer)... here we go (in order as placed in the galleria at TGF)...

Janna - she has some awesome creations... beautiful and well detailed cards... it was hard choosing just one... but her "egg hunting" card just blew me away... and i knew i wanted to case it... i went with soft colors here... oh and this is the first time i've used birthday Anya! the circle with the sentiment is actually DP that i just punched out because it was perfect for the celebration...

Jacquie - She has gotten me hooked with admiring the combo of blue and brown... of course, her name is javablustamper... but i was so use to pink and brown.... Jacquie has wonderful cards... which made the choice hard to choose too... i finally settle on one of her newest creations... her Honor card she made for the sneak peek... the flowers are from my darling friend Michelle! thanks girl, it added just the right touch...

Kristine - her creations are awesome! I cased her Hello Ian card... she has some fabulous work... Ian caught my eye though... and i used the sentiment smile because seeing her creations always made me smile!

Traci - she rocks! her cards are always fun and heartfelt... she comes up with such great ideas and almost always has a twist to every card... i'm at lost for words to describe her... you have to check out her creations for yourself to know what i mean... here i went with blue and brown... the image was given to me by my dear friend Joy! thanks girl! I loved coloring her...

Rosette - you just need to go and see her creations... it's fabulous... i loved working with her challenges and admiring her creations... they are all FANTABULOUS! her detailing in her work is just so great... there were lots of wonderful cards to CASE but her " a whale of a catch" just caught me... LOL!

Joni - I was not yet a member of Club Anya when Joni was a guest designer, but i wanted to wish her the best anyway... i totally fell in love with her "shopping Anya" card that i just had to case it... her card was complete with some play money which i substituted with some celebration words in place of where she had placed the money... the image was given to me by Joy! I had so much fun with her that now i just need to add this Anya set to my wishlist... i used the second image that Joy gave me and colored and cut out the shopping bags, added some tissue paper and placed the cut-out bags over...

Michelle - she is another guest designer that I wasn't around to actually see her work with the DT... but after looking at her blog and veiwing all her creations, I CASEd one of her cards too... another darling image from Joy! yah, she spoiled me!
oh my gosh! did i cover it all... told you it was going to be long... eventhough the DT's term is coming to an end, it's not a total good-bye... i'm sure we are still going to be seeing their awesome creations! i think of it as Aloha 'oe, until we meet again! I wish the first DT well wishes on their new journeys... you all will truly be missed! A+ to you all!
well, friends, i wish you all a very happy Sunday! Hope your weekend was just as crafty as mine... few more things to finish up so i better get my you kow what moving! until later.... Have a great day!

Halloween is coming! LOL

Happy Thursday everyone!!! one more day until the weekend! anywho, i must admit that i was not prepared to start on my Halloween goodies, but after seeing the wonderful creations by Cheryl and Teri, i just had to kick myself to start... so i did! Yay! this is just a sample of an idea i had... but to my disappointment, i don't have much Halloween stuff... oh well, that just means another trip to the craft store.. LOL... i have a funny feeling that my order of acetate paper won't come in on time so i had to come up with another option just in case... take a look!

i've been meaning to use my box shaker die from sizzix, and finally took it out of the plastic... like i said, i don't have much (i thought i did) so for now i had to make way with what i could find... i cut out little scraps of orange cardstock and ran it through my bigshot using the pumpkin and candy texture plate... managed to find this cute trick or treat stamp in my pile of stamps... no black or orange ribbon could be found so i used gray... need to put those colors on my list...

here's the inside when you open the flap... this darling stamp is from Mari and Me... intentionally bought it to make tags, but this is my other option if the acetate doesn't come in... i stamped the images on 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 white squares, gave it a little color and taped it to the inside of the box before i assembled it... i think it's kinda cute this way so i may just stick to it... the inside top flap is blank right now... as it gets closer (and i find more stuff) i'll place a little tag to say that it's from Krislen... it looks so plain right now, so i'm hoping to find more things to add on... i'm trying to tell myself to keep it simple... 1st graders don't really care what the outside looks like, they just want the goodies =D this is a big step up from my normal buy pretty baggies and fill it to the top so i'm glad i decided to start early... hehehe... thanks to the wonderful blogging sisters who started on theirs, i have motiviation to start on mine... so, with this being just a trial and error, come back to see a revised edition (not too soon now, i have to go shopping first, LOL)... Happy Stamping!!!

just 2...

Happy Wednesday! i just love a short week! don't you?! just a short and sweet post today... i must say, after doing the TGF - Inside counts challenge i'm just lovin' working on the insides of cards... so with that, i wanted to share with you a few that i recently finished...

I just LOVE butterflies... and that was an inspiration on making this card... i had a decent size scrap DP that had butterflies on it... so i cut out the ones that were fully whole... and spread them around... some are actually raised just a slight bit, using thin pop-ups... and the colors rock!

Don't you just love this color! My mom's favorite color is purple... and i have to admit... i do love me certain shades of purple too... i took a special trip to the craft store to get this DP... it's by doodlebug btw... i was amazed that i didn't really have any purple papers in my gigantic stack... well, i had a few, but none to my liking... and even worst, the craft store didn't carry much purple either... you would see the normally shades of pink and a few darker colors and maybe 2-3 purple... so i happened on this one and loved it! the flowers were cut using the HK daisies... popped up the layers... added little punched out flowers... rhinestones for the middle of the big flowers... 3D sparkles glue for the middle of the smaller flowers... and at the last minute i added little butterflies... =D Hope you like what you see!
Wishing everyone a great day today! Thanks for stopping by....

Surpirse RAKs

Happy Monday fellow bloggers! Hope everyone is enjoying the extra day off... Yesterday, I was able to meet 2 awesome and super sweet blogging sisters... Joy and Michelle from Oahu... They came to Maui for a soccer tournament... Also meeting along with them was Joy's darling daughter Taelyn and their friends and fellow team members Yumi and Mark... and those girls surprised me with some AWESOME RAKs... Thank you Joy and Michelle with all my heart... So we got to have lunch at our nearby mall and walked around to some of the stores... See gals, didn't i tell you our craft store was kinda sad... LOL... not much for the scrapbooker / cardmaker... okay on to the pictures... the first item on the left is a little backpack made by Joy... it's so cute! i think little Alia liked it too... she said "mommy, mine"? hey Joy, did you save my favorite color from your blog giveaways?!? the bag was Blue! my fave color... and the second item was a see-through tin can made by Michelle... isn't the image cute?!?

Here's what was inside Joy's darling gift... lots and lots of images... i couldn't fit them all in the pix so i spread out a few... but there was lots! some bling it rhinestones, paper flowers and dew drops (that i've been waiting to order)... THANKS GIRL! everything is so awesome...

This cutie gift is from Michelle... she was kind to give me some more dew drops, a spool of ribbon, some Prima flowers, cute halloween sticker and this really cool toad/pumpkin stamp (sorry small glare)... perfect for Halloween... Loved it all!

Aren't they just the sweetest?!? they didn't have to do that, yet they did! Thank you so very much again!!!! and i'm so glad Alia got out of her shy mood... she kept trying to follow Michelle around in the fabric store.. =D thanks gals and i hope we get to meet again!
