Happy 2nd Birthday Alia!!!!

Hello there friends! Thanks for stopping by today... as many of you know, DD#2, Alia, is celebrating her 2nd birthday today... Hooray!!! Happy Birthday my lil' monkey! Mommy LOVES you!!!

so in celebration of her BIG day, i just wanted to share some picture with you of her very special day...

We'll start off with her fun and cute birthday cake... had to hurry and snap pictures before she demolishes it... it's a 4 inch personal cake, Dora of course... it's from Safeway and they actually have all kinds of designs... my favorite is the Belle one... =D

here's her little birthday card i've made for her... yes, mommy made an easel card (i just love making them...) she chose the copic colors herself and this is what i came up with...

November OCS and Christmas gift

Wow! December surely brings a busy time of year... i'm still spinning from all the excitement yesterday! hope you all liked my creations for Flutter by Wednesday and Whimisical Wednesdays - The Diedrich Dare.... it's really an honor and awesome to be on such 2 great teams... i hope i do them proud... =D

well, with the whirlwind this past week, most of my creations are still in the making... i'm slowly trying to finish them up... but work has been hectic and kids have been going crazy now that there's presents under the tree... i'm trying to finish up some goodies to be sent off and i still have a mountain of presents to be wrapped... all in all, it's the most wonderful time of year...

I have a few things to share with you today... but first, my baby, DD#2, Alia is turning the big 2 tomorrow... and she is excited as ever.... she's really into Dora the Explorer and really looking forward to her Dora cake... i'll post a pix tomorrow before she digs in... it's soooo cute! lucky girl, she gets to cakes... a mini one tomorrow for her actual birthday and one on Sunday for another birthday celebration...

okie dokie.... on to some goodies.... every month Teri hosts an awesome One Card Swap... so for the month of November, my partner was Brenda.... OMGosh, if you enjoy punch art, you've got to check this girl out! she does amazing punch art... and i'm so happy to have been her partner.... she likes the color lavendar and so i made this sweet purple card for her... the image used is from Inky Impressions.. i cut out the letters for her name with my sizzix dies... punched some butterflies that i added some stickles and rhinestones to... and some prima flowers... i really hope she liked her card... =D
and here's my early Christmas gift that i was soooooooo EXCITED to receive... (eek, don't mind my messy desk).. my lovely sister Linda (by heart) surprised me when she sent me these goodies.... a refill for my copic pen that already ran out of ink... boosters for a little ease of refilling... 2 multiliner pens and 2 new copic ciaos... isn't this a wonderful Christmas gift?!?!? all the things she knows i will use.... and lookie at that cute HB card she made too!!! Thank you Linda!!! you already know what i did with all of this... hehehe! Love You mucho!!!!

US.... i can't even explain how honored and super dee-duper excited i am to have been asked to join the Daredevils.... wasn't really sure i was able to make the announcement today, but you know me, give me some time and i'll have something together for you... =D Thank you to the Mama Daredevil - Jessica - for the wonderful chance to strut my thang on their challenge blog... and to my fellow DTMs, Thank you girls for the warm Welcome! hugs to you all!

Well, this is my debut for Whimisical Wednesdays The Diedrich Dare... and this week we have an awesome sketch for you provided by Nicky - Jessica's son... here, we give to you DDSC#13

i admire his imagination, and please believe me when i say i was a little stumped for the first 15 minutes or so trying to see my card on his sketch... but all in all it worked out perfectly as i already had together what i wanted to use and this sketch came at the perfect time...

here's my card! i had to make a birthday card for a little boy and Benji by Chubby Pencil was an image i was waiting to use... you can get him from ATS... I was lucky enough to win him during his release and just haven't had the chance to ink him... so i guess Benji has his first debut on my blog too!!! hehehe! i used some scrap froggy DP, that you must have seen on my Frog Princess card... and some sweet stripe DP by Doodlebug... going for an all out froggy theme, i've added frog buttons too...

here's my little magical card all ready for Flutter by! finally got to ink up Fairy Chloe from TGF... isn't she a cutie?! colored her pastel purple, blue and pink to match the DP a little... her wings have diamond stickles as well as the blue... and yes, i have snowflakes on here!!! both big and small snowflakes to accent the card, but i think the DP says it all... don't yah think?! =D instead of glittering the snowflakes this time, i added some rhinestones for bling... mmm, i just love the pretty colors... my layout is based on sketch #4 over at Anyone for Anya?? and my made up sentiment completes this card... "Wishing you a Fairy Magical Christmas" I had a friend on mind when i was working this card and i reallllllly hope she likes it... =D

Hunky Love...

Happy Monday!!! wow can you believe it's the last day of November?!?! i hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!! i'm finally getting back into my normal groove of crafting... hey, a card a day keeps the doctor away... LOL... yah, crafting keeps me sane... some of the time...



so this card is up for a few challenges... and this is what they are:



1. Diedrich Dare #12 - Sketch by Jack... another great one...



2. FFF - Sweet treat... case your favorite treat... either by color, flavor, look or whatever it may be...



but 2 together and this is what i got!

My big hunk!!! hahaha! based on the black and white theme of the candy wrapper and hunky Ian, this is what i've created... =D Ian is an Autumn digi that you can get over at TGF... instant printing... so he's colored up in black and white with brown hair... i guess for the peanuts in the nougat... mmmmm yummmy! i don't always eat this since the chewy-ness always hurts my jaw, but it's so delicious when you don't eat it all the time... i prefer the bite sizes than the orignal bar... can't quite finish the whole thing... anyway, i don't have any black and white paper that isn't too girly so i stuck to solid CS.. wanted to add a little texture so i ran a white piece of CS through my crimper... with Jack's sketch, i put it all together... some buttons and voila! so i tried to make my own patterned paper by gluing white strips of CS to the solid black CS and the rest fell into place... flipped the last layer panel a little to fit the image...

Another Flutter Anya card...

Back again with another challenge card for you... i'm really glad i'm getting back into the challenges since they are a big help for me to finish up Christmas cards.... this card is for MMSC #29 - sketch challenge... different shades of purple makes this card... i love purple but it's so hard to find pretty purple papers... after searching through my stashes of paper, i found this flourished purple paper in my Christmas stack...
I used Flutter Anya from TGF again for this card... she's colored in lilac and pale lilac for a soft tone... diamond stickles on the inner part of her wings and snowflakes... the small snowflakes around the image has rhinestones instead of gg... the 2 shades of lilac looks better IRL...

well, just a quick post.... headed back into the craft room to finish up more... =D

Fluttering for Christmas

Hiya there!!! It's a beautiful Sunday here in Hawaii... i'm hoping the sun will tan my creativity today... =D had a little stamping block this weekend... but all in all I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I actually finished a card last night (or early this morning) and i'm happy to share it with you today...
here's my card that i will be entering in 2 challenges...

1. LLWWC #14 - 3, 2, 1 Recipe... 3 patterned paper, 2 colors of CS and 1 embellie...

2. ATS Sketch Challenge

based on the fabulous sketch over at ATS, i used the recipe from La-La Land to create this holiday card... my choice of patterned paper were red circle DP and Green stripe DP both by Amercian Crafts Merry Mint collection... the Candy Cane glittered DP is from Imaginisce... i used a mossy green and white colored CS and my embellie is ribbon... the image i used is Flutter Anya from TGF... she's one of my fav stamps... she's designed to bring joy to any occasion... =D copics gives her color and stickles gg gives a bit of glitter on her wings... complete with a Happy Holidays sentiment from the new 2009 Hero Arts collection...

I based the colors on a friends favorite Christmas colors... i hope she likes it when she receives it...

well, that's all i have for you for now... DH and DD#1 is going fishing and DD#2 is down for her nap... so now i need to book it in the craft room and get creating while it's quiet... i haven't had the chance to really stop on any blogs the last 2 days, so i'm hoping i can do my rounds today... as always, thank you for stopping by today and check back later to see if i've done any more posting... and THANK YOU very much for your supporting and sweet comments!
