Halloween Winner!

Happy Halloween!!!

Wishing you all a very safe and FUN-filled Halloween!!!

Thank you to all who have participated in my blog candy giveaway!! I had so much fun reading what you all would dress up as! Really, it would be an awesome Halloween party if we could all get together!! =D

DH did the honors of pulling a name.... (sorry he did not want to be photographed) yes, i did it the old fashion way of writing all the names on pieces of paper, shaking it all up and pulling a name.... and the name that DH pulled was............. FAIRY BRENDA!!!! Congrats girl!!! Please email me your info so i can get your SURPRISE bag out to you! oh did i mention you have to send me a picture of yourself dressed as a fairy, before i send you your prize??? LOL, i'm kidding girl! Congrats!!!

i have to share something funny a friend shared with me... not really a joke but a saying... "Child comes home from trick-or-treating and Mom and child goes through the candy to take out the ones not good for the child. Child says, Funny how all the candies that aren't good for me is Mom's favorite!" totally classic! i think i would do something like that, LOL!

well, i'm off to finishing up the last of things around my house... a little baking and some light cooking for this evening's festivities... can't wait to get my kiddies into their costumes... i have an asian princess, a bumble bee and a ghost.... i think my ghost is cuter than Casper.... hehe! so have tons of fun and i'll be back tomorrow for a bossy challenge!

A Bride and her Besties!

Oh happy day! oh happy day.... yah, i'm singing it, in my head! =D Hiya! i'm back AGAIN, with another creation... i created this card for a challenge over at CA&F... Whatcha Tootin' about Wednesday hosted by Kim and she wants to see your double side step cards... now, i had tons of fun making Christmas cards using the step templates but i had even MORE FUN creating this one... take a lookie....
excuse my horrible photo, my lighting is really bad... argh!

it's Kissy Anya and her best friends!!! okay, i have to admit that this wasn't my original vision... i actually wanted to use the Kissy couple with a maid of honor and best man... however, i can't draw to save myself so it was a bit difficult to transform my Autumn Ian into a tux... so i had to make do with what i've got... i might have to bug TGF to create a prom Ian or something... hehe... honestly, i think this came out better than my original idea... =D light bulb moment, LOL... Miss Anya Love set was perfect for this celebration... and yes, i did do a little swapping... can you tell??? hehe.... i did a little paper piecing with the girls dresses too, do you see it?! these stamps can be purchased at TGF, if you don't already have them... my sentiment is a mixture of stamps... i used the "forever" from the cake topper set and added the "friends" sentiment from one of my hero arts collection... i couldn't find one that best described this moment... anyway, i wanted to embellish more but i knew i'd get carried away, so i left it as is, which i think came out pretty nice regardless the lack of embellies... what do you think of this???

Thanks for stopping in today and listening to my ramblings... it's waaaay early in the morning right now and i've got so much ideas running through my brain... i might have to go back into the craft room and unleash.... hmmmm.... sleep or create? LOL.... take a wild guess! oh, AND don't forget, you have until midnight tonight to enter my Halloween Candy... toodles for now friends! Have a fabulous day!!!

Last minute packaging...

Hello Friday!!! so happy it's Friday, but i'm not sure why! LOL... hubby made a surprise come home yesterday just in time for DD1's harvest night at school!! it was a sweet surprise and i'm so HAPPY!!! kiddies were excited to see Daddy as well... =D

there's a challenge happening over at ATS, and it's "Last minute Halloween packaging"... okay, i am sooooo last minute in packaging some goodies for DD1's A+ program, thankfully i saw the challenge, cause it helped me to remember i needed to finish this by today!... i was actually trying to look for a witch's cauldron but like i said, i was last minute and couldn't find one... so browsing our Long's store, i found this jar and thought to myself, "yah, i can do something with this!" so here is what i came up with....
i used the halloween release, SN Baby Trick or Treat Pumpkin (designed by Amy Y.) and Swiss Pixies Halloween Scene from CC Designs.... i just LOVE that baby pumpkin!!! isn't he just adorable?!
here is the completed wrapping...

and here is a close up of the tag.... here i used Swiss Pixies Birgitta, also from CC Designs.... because the purple color is dark, i outlined the spiderwebs with a white opaque pen... then i used glossy accents on her boots, witch's hat and cuffs of her dress.... she is just the cutest lil' witch in town! she sits upon an oval nestie, matted on a scallop oval... the back is also matted with a white oval for a Halloween message to her A+ leader....
hope they like it! the program is runned mainly by high school students so i'm sure a sweet tooth will make the end of their day... =D
got some errands to do today, with a visit to my FAVE craft store.... Thanks for coming to visit today and i'll be back soon! Have a happy and smile-filled Friday!!

Christmas Cards pt2 - the completion

How's it going friends?! *yawn* as of 2am today, i have proudly completed a cutomer's order waaaaay ahead of scheduled! i have to thank my very late into early morning nights for the production... hehe! yes, for my friends that knew from when i first started, i'm doing my semi all nighters again... semi only because i'm usually going to bed at 3:30-4 in the AM... right after lil' man's first waking, instead of those usual 7-8am or even later... LOL... but i can usually function on 4 hours of sleep... sometimes lil' man is nice and will give me 5-6... =D

today i'm showing you the last of the Christmas order... probably won't see any Christmas postings like this for a while, maybe just one or 2 here and there (i should really start on mine)... here we go (click on pictures to make bigger, sorry pixs are a little blurry)....

i really hope the customer likes these... she trusted my creativity, and i trusted myself... LOL... i actually like the way they all turned out... all different in one way or another...

OMGosh! i just have to share this before i let you go... Saturday, we had a little get together with my bestie and her family and carved pumpkins... and i usually screen my calls... so my phone rings with a number i didn't recognize and hubby tells me to just answer... so i did... and thankfully i did because i won this from the Sanrio store....

it was their Halloween gift basket giveaway... =D i was totally stoked and shocked as i never win things like that... took DD1 to the Sanrio store on Thursday for her awesome report card and the sales rep said to enter the drawing, so i said yah, why not!! Wow!! so i've already claimed dibs on the cute HK stuffed animal, DD1 claimed all the stationery items and DD2 claimed the basket!! a little something for each of us girls! =D ain't it just cute?!

okie dokie... i'm super excited to start playing with some new stamps... Christmas things are off to the side for now... and well, i'll be back to share with you again! Huggies until then....

You color my world!

with Rainbows that is....

Happy Monday Friends!! i trust you all had a fantabulous weekend! i surely did! =D

Time for another challenge over at Lollipop Crafts.... This week, Lollipop Girl Diane is hosting the challenge and it's a very COLORFUL one... Challenge #13 - Rainbows... create a project using a rainbow or the colors of the rainbow...

We are sponsored this week by Paper Crafting with Erica and she is giving away a prize perfect for fall to one lucky random winner.... now don't you want to play along?! here's my creation...

do you see my hidden rainbow? i found the perfect DPs for this challenge and based most of my coloring to match the DPs... Amelia from TGF's OA-Happy Day set is super perfect for fun colors so i just had to use her... i wasn't sure what kind of sentiment to add on here, so when ready, the top left corner of the card is just waiting to be layered with a sentiment... does this put a smile on your face???

Head on over to the Lollipop Crafts blog now and check out the rest of the DT creations... i'm sure they will get you into the mood to create... Challenge is open until Saturday at 8pm, so hurry up and link up with InLinkz on the blog...

Have a COLORFUL day friends!!!

Christmas Cards pt1

Heeeellooooo there!!! am i driving you all crazy with my Christmas creations?! hehehe... hope not... but really, that's what's been taking up my craft time lately... i'm almost done with the whole order and then i can start creating other things... got some new stamps in the mail today and can't wait to ink them up... but first things first... today i'm sharing with you a few regular cards i've finished, since i've already shared the stair steps...
each card is unique... i didn't follow any aketches, nor did i repeat any... my mix of papers are slightly different on each... do you like these so far??? i'll be back later with the rest...

well, the weekend is here! boy where did all the time go... and hubby comes home again... YAY!!! what's on my agenda this weekend?? hmmm, hopefully sometime with the girls at the pumpkin patch and then some shopping for crafts... don't i have enough already?? HA! no!! hehehe... what are you all doing this weekend???

alright, time is flying by and i need to finish up some things before hubby gets home... but before i go i also wanted to share some happy mail with you....
i was super excited to receive a box from my aunty yesterday... she knows how much i LOVE Coach bags and sent me one... Yippppeeee!!! she's been having fun shopping at the Coach outlet in CA and i'm so happy she thought of me... best part about this bag... the inside lining is BLUE!!! can it not be any more perfect for me! A whole lotta steppin'

Step cards that is!! =D Happy Tuesday everyone!! hope the week is going well for you all... mine has been and still will be a little crazy but nothing that a little crafting can't cure... today i'm just sharing some more Christmas cards that i've finished over the weekend... had to do some side step cards so i'm sharing some that i really like...
i love this one not only because my fave color is blue, but i SO love the tree embellies... can you see all the sparkly on the trees?! Love it! making these cards are a real challenge... i have to use some type of ribbon and this snowman stamp... so trying to incorporate papers with a snowman has been a little tough...
here's another that i used the DP to decorate and give accent to the steps... i just used one sheet of DP and cut out the scenes from it... and i just LOVE snowflakes, so i had to add some to this one... hehehe!
this is actually the first one i started making... i was totally stumped as i'm kinda limited to what i can add to the panels... trying to keep it simple is the hardest challenge of all... the stripe DP is already loud so i added some bead sprays with the holly buttons and white organza ribbon just to tone it a little...
making all these Christmas cards is really putting me in the holiday spirit... i was even thinking about asking hubby if i could put up my tree already... LOL... but i know that would be a gigantic NO! i'm not even attempting... hehe...
well, haven't done much stamping except for a bunch of Christmas cards i need to get done before month's end, so i'm hoping i can take a break and sneak in some new stamps that i haven't gotten to play with yet... but gosh, my desk is covered with Christmas things and i dread the thought of putting that away and then having to bring it out again... guess i'll just have to push myself to get the last 12 cards done sooner than planned... =D that's it for now.... be back soon!! Hope your day is filled with FABULOSITY!!

Winter Play at Lollipop Crafts

It's Monday and challenge time over at Lollipop Crafts!!! Hope you all had a fantastic weekend!!! i spent mine with the hubby and kids and some friends, and i did get some craft time too... =D so overall, my weekend was fun and productive!!

Barbara is hosting this week's challenge at Lollipop Crafts and it's a fun one... Challenge #12 - Winter Play... use an image featuring something to do in the cold winter... sad to say i'd love to play in snow, but unfortunately, we don't have any in Hawaii.... not that i didn't experience any or played in it, i was lucky to have that opportunity years ago... i just LOVE it!! so i love playing/using snowy images... =D

This week's challenge is sponsored by Karber Digital Images... hop on over to the Lollipop Crafts blog tomorrow to get a sneak peek of who's behind this company...

The ladies of Karber were kind enough to let us play with an image they created and here's what i came up using that...

i really have to work on my shaker cards as i don't do them often... but i really wanted a "snowy' effect to this image... clean and simple as i didn't have much room to accessorize, but i do like how this came out!

Come out and join us this week... bring out your Christmas stamps and get creative... Christmas is right around the corner... before we know it, it will be here... so why not join us and get a head start on your Christmas projects! and don't forget to stop by the Lollipop Crafts blog and check out what the DT has created this week and lastly, link your creations!!! until next time.....

No tricks - just TREATS!

Happy ALOHA Friday everyone!!! i LOVE Fridays.... even more now that hubby is away for work and it's the day he comes home for the weekend! YAY!! makes the excitement for the weekend even more special...

i gave myself a pat on the shoulder once these goodies were done... i'm usually very last minute putting things like this together, but this year i'm early... Wow, couldn't believe myself... haha! guess it's easier right now with only one child in school... by the time DD2 goes to school, i'll have to make holiday goodies well in advance... oh gosh, and i can only imagine when all 3 are in school... i would have to start making Halloween treats in August... LOL... okay maybe i'm pushing it a little... hehe!
alright... so i fell in love with a posting on the Dandelion Design blog... this one here to be exact... i think it was the crimping that made me head over heels to do something like that... =D Thanks Jean for the inspiration! i made my treats a little bigger than hers to fit a few more yummies inside... i actually wanted it to fit the pencil too, but it wasn't going to work out that way for me.... bought some k&co halloween paper and cut it down to 4x6 (actual treat measures 2x3 after assembling)... then i used my circle punch and scalloped circle nestie for the tags... found this round circle stamp with the phrase "trick or treat, smell my feet" around the edges complete with witch's feet... thought it was so cute and had to use it... and i just tied the pencil to the tag with some orange ribbon... simple, cute and besides, these 2nd graders will rip it open for the candy anyway... =D
this bunch is for DD1's hula sisters... i re-visted a fave from last year's goodies since i had a few leftover that were semi premade... using the sizzix window treat boxes... so all i had to do was stamp and color more images and put the whole thing together... oh yah, and stuff it with treats...

the only thing left is to make something for her teacher, Kumu and A+ leader... i usually keep that simple too... a jar full of candy! =D

well, i am in the craft room today... trying to start on a Christmas order... i think i've only finished 3 cards... so that leaves me with 17 more to do... Lil' man hasn't been feeling to well after his shots this week, and today he has finally gotten back into his normal routine... SLEEPING! so just a room over, i'm getting crafty! =D

Thanks for stopping by today!! i appreciate you coming to visit and leaving such sweet comments... it means so much and really keeps a light on to keep crafting... enjoy the weekend and i'll be back soon!! HUGGIES!

Christmas already?!

Okay seriously! this year is flying by so fast... i'm still trying to keep up... hehe! we haven't even gone through Halloween and i'm already thinking Christmas... well, i think about Christmas all the time... LOL... wish it could be every day... our local KMart is already bringing in Holiday items... are they pushing Christmas on us a little too early?! nah, i enjoy looking at the beautiful decorations...

got a phone call the other week asking for some Christmas cards samples... something with a snowman that is simple and easy.... so i came up with these and wanted to share them with you...

the sentiment and snowman are actual stamped items... and the trees are a DP that i didn't want to waste... doesn't it accent the card just a little more? this was my traditional (color) take on a card....

i like this one... same thing, snowman and sentiment is stamped and again i didn't want to waste this snowflake border strip on the DP i used, so i added it to the card... the big circle behind the snowman is part of the DP too... i just used my circle punch and adhered the snowman to it!

simple creations that turned out Winter-ful! i have to say, head start on some Christmas items this early will eliminate the stress as it gets closer... =D

Spook-Tacular Mommy!

Hey!! this is gonna be a hit and run post as i've got to go to an appt. for the lil' man and do some errands...

Wanted to play along with TGF's FFF Halloween challenge this week, but over the weekend i didn't have much time... so i really didn't think i was going to finish a project... but at the very last minute i decided to put my brainstorming together.... too bad i'm not pregnant still for this Halloween as i would have painted my tummy to look like a pumpkin/jack o' lantern.... with that in mind, i came up with this...
i took the pumpkin head from the spooktaclar set and trimmed it to fit over Mommy Anya's tummy... originally i was going to leave the head as is but really, it was HUGE on her... hehe! Mommy Anya serves as my altered image... so in a gloomy and scary theme for halloween, she's perfect to be trick-or-treating with her lil' witch!

i don't have much of a Halloween DP stash so i was forced to be creative... taking some black CS as a base, i used my circle punch to create the moon and my star punch for the little stars in the sky... then i adhered white and yellow CS to the back for color... used a cool gray color to accent the moon (completed by stamping a flyig witch) and added glitter glue to the stars... took the house from the My House set to add a scene... used MS fence and pumpkin borders to add to the house scene too... and took some green cording that i weaved through the fence to look like pumpkin vines.... AND i just had to add a tree... for some reason when i think of eerie halloween scenes, it usually involves a balded tree... LOL
would you go trick or treating at this house??? it's not that scary right?! =D
Thanks for coming by today!! hope i've inspired you to get creative for Halloween! Come back soon! Hugs!

Pink'd for a cause!

La la la!!! Can't believe it's already Sunday!!! it has been such a busy weekend that i just lost track of time.... Today may be another busy day... but in a relaxing sorta way... LOL, did that make sense?! ha! ok, so what i mean is, today is our usual finish up the house chores, do some shopping for the house and we just might fit in a little time to head to the fair again since it's the last day.... only comes once a year so we need to enjoy right?!

well my time back into crafting has been wonderful... i even partied with TGF on Friday on PCP for the new October release! tons of laughter in there... and lots of catching up with eachother... especially for me since i've been so MIA.... hehe... really, TGF parties are always fun! if you missed it, well it's in the past now, but i suggest you don't miss anymore! =D

there was a challenge (sort of a speed challenge) issued during the party (sorry, it's only for those that attended), in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness, the challenge was "Think Pink".... create a pink card with atleast 2 pink embellies... here's the card i've created for the challenge...
totally pink'd!!! i used Fleur Anya and the "believe in miracles" sentiment from the Shepard Boy set... ribbon, flowers, bling and glitter! and there it is... i just love Fleur! don't you?

okie dokie... just wanted to pop in and share this with you... haven't really been blurfing this weekend as i'm trying to spend as much time with the hubby before he leaves off island for work! but i'll be by soon! until i return, have a wonderful day!!

PINK-A-LICIOUS Sassiness!

Hey, Hey!!! Happy Friday Friends!! are you ready for a debut creation to show you that YES, i'm back?!? Hope so cause i'm just super excited to share with you what i've been doing...

Grandma always told us not to judge a book by it's cover... and this is the one time i'm going to say, by all means, go ahead and judge THIS book by it's cover!! oh, and the inside too... =D

i was really inspired to participate in the TGF Altered Notebook Contest... there's still time for you to play along so go ahead and jump on over to the TGF blog and check out the deets!

anywho, i never really took it in to alter or create a notebook, i mean i've done some composition tablets in the past that i just decorated but never really put one of my own together... so this was a big chance for me to do so... and well, i'm lovin' it! you can make it so personable... and that's just what i did...

after brainstorming ideas, i finally settled on using 3 of my fave Cheeky Girls that's available at TGF... Beauty Queen (who i deem Drama Queen), Rockabilly (aka Party Girl) and Glamorous (the very Spoiled Princess)... LOL, why the nicknames.... let's just say it's my split personality at it's best! haha! so let's take a look at what i've done.... here's the cover... blinged out with rhinestones and stickles and pretty shimmery DP... even though my fave color is blue, i absolutely LOVE pink too!! i'm just girly like that! PINK-A-LICIOUS!!! hehe... the cover honestly took me a very long time to do... only because i wanted to add so much more but was too chicken to mess it up... i thought the DPs did a great job with color and vibe so i kept this simple with a simple flower and rhinestones... be warned, this is a very girly girl notebook... =D
this is the inside of the cover... with the DP, i created pockets... added some paper to show you that you can slip in notes, receipts, reminders, anything...
same thing here.... the back cover (inside) has pockets as well....
i based my notebook on a 2 subject notebook... so i created a divider page... this here is the front of the divider page... the little frames - you can actually put pictures in them... notice the "insert picture"... i love carrying pictures with me so this was a nice addition to add to my notebook.... used nesties to create the frames and i lined it with acetate to protect the pictures...
here's the flip slide... same concept... just with my party girl on here... maybe to add my "party" pictures... hehe....
and the last thing to my notebook is my page marker... or in other words, bookmark...
the back side to my page marker... complete with the TGF logo....
this 6x6 notebook can be used for a variety of things... a doodle pad... mini diary/journal.... just for notes.... anything your heart desires... what would you use it for?
so whatcha think???? not bad for not crafting in 2 months right?! i actually created 2 cards before working on this that really stumped me, but this really got my creative juices flowing.... the recipe behind this creation - what would i like to see on a daily basis and what would i keep in my bag.... this brought out the inner me... the girly side of me... but hey, my DD1 and teenage sister likes it too, so i say it was created for the young, the teen and the young at heart (that would be me) in mind.... hope i've inspired you to play along with the challenge or get creative in general...
it's friday, and our annual county fair is here for the weekend.... so we'll be heading out this evening for a night of yummy food, games, walking around and maybe even some rides!! Wishing you all a wonderful Friday and a great weekend ahead! Thank you to everyone that stopped by yesterday for the sweet comments on my return! i MISS you all and can't wait to start sharing ideas again!!! ta-ta for now... and THANKS for visiting today!!! Smile!
