Spook-Tacular Mommy!

Hey!! this is gonna be a hit and run post as i've got to go to an appt. for the lil' man and do some errands...

Wanted to play along with TGF's FFF Halloween challenge this week, but over the weekend i didn't have much time... so i really didn't think i was going to finish a project... but at the very last minute i decided to put my brainstorming together.... too bad i'm not pregnant still for this Halloween as i would have painted my tummy to look like a pumpkin/jack o' lantern.... with that in mind, i came up with this...
i took the pumpkin head from the spooktaclar set and trimmed it to fit over Mommy Anya's tummy... originally i was going to leave the head as is but really, it was HUGE on her... hehe! Mommy Anya serves as my altered image... so in a gloomy and scary theme for halloween, she's perfect to be trick-or-treating with her lil' witch!

i don't have much of a Halloween DP stash so i was forced to be creative... taking some black CS as a base, i used my circle punch to create the moon and my star punch for the little stars in the sky... then i adhered white and yellow CS to the back for color... used a cool gray color to accent the moon (completed by stamping a flyig witch) and added glitter glue to the stars... took the house from the My House set to add a scene... used MS fence and pumpkin borders to add to the house scene too... and took some green cording that i weaved through the fence to look like pumpkin vines.... AND i just had to add a tree... for some reason when i think of eerie halloween scenes, it usually involves a balded tree... LOL
would you go trick or treating at this house??? it's not that scary right?! =D
Thanks for coming by today!! hope i've inspired you to get creative for Halloween! Come back soon! Hugs!
