For my Poppy....

Happy wonderful Tuesday everyone!! hope you all are fine and dandy and the week so far has been a pleasure for you....

picked up some inspiration again from The Sweet Stop, with their sketch #123... over the weekend i was asked to create a very special card with a theme... i was really excited to even have been asked but screeching inside cause i had no idea what to do... i had the papers that i needed to use, just no direction of how to put the card together... so thankfully, The Sweet Stop put out an awesome sketch to use for the challenge this week... and well, here's my interpretation...
the theme for the card was poppy.... i had a stash of this Poppies in Bloom DP by Autumn Leaves (all of the DP used on this creation) that was so fitting... then it was choosing the right image.... being that i made this for a guy to give to someone, Hello Ian, from TGF, whom has not seen ink from me yet, called out... ahhh, moment filled with such perfection.... originally Ian is holding a sunflower (or so that's what i think it is) but to keep with the poppy theme, i cut out a poppy from the DP to fit over the original flower.... voila! make it work! had a stash of coordinating die cut poppy flowers too which i added one to the bow... can't really see the border punch in the background but it's MS Iron Gate border punch that i found at Ross' for $5!!! what a steal! sentiment is from Hero Arts....

i hope he likes this card and i hope his "Poppy" likes it too!! If you haven't heard about the Sweet Stop yet, go and check them out... you'll find their sketches fun and eye candy very inspiring... who knows, you might just want to play along too!

thanks for sharing a moment with me... i sure hope i've inspired you in some way to get crafty!!

Doomo...

**Second post for today... please scroll down to check out what's taggin'! Thank you!!**

Hello again!! thanks for all the fabulous comments on my tags... it was really fun in the making... so last night during one of our virtual gatherings, my dear friend Cami gave me a push to create something with one of my new craft toys... and if she didn't, it would have still been in the box... LOL... so here it is....
using Geisha Anya from TGF (boy did i have a hard time coloring her hair) she was a perfect pair to some things NEW... new as is my new MS cherry blossom border punch, washi paper, sentiment from Dandelion Designs and some new pearls (as in i had to buy more)... can't tell in the photo but i dabbed some glitter in the centers of the blossoms and also on the flowers on her kimono... the blossoms around the sentiment was just pieces i cut off from the border...

lots of 'new' on this creation... after a bit of debating i've decided to gives this a go for a few challenges....

1. TGF's Farm Fresh Challenges - Farm Fresh Friday - Into the NEW

2. All That Scraps - Anything Goes

Oh and i surprised my self by completing the inside too.... =D
used 2 different sizes of sakura (cherry blossom) stamps and lavender and angel pink memento ink and stamped the images on the white CS... then i added this sentiment from Hero Arts (another new thing i recently bought). whatcha think?

alright... time for me to hit the chores and then get ready for a busy wednesday afternoon... come back tomorrow for another creation!! Have a GREAT day and THANKS for visiting!!!

No brainer fun!

she's late! she's late! YES, i'm late!! what else is new right?! i'm trying to blog on a regular basis and well.... let's not go there... LOL... i'm seriously trying to manage 5 millions things at once... back to my late nighters AGAIN, 4 hours of sleep, 24 hours of mommy time, 12 hours of wifey time (more if hubby is home), 4 hours of house work and many hours of work/crafting... hey wait, that doesn't add up to 24 hours... oh well, that's my schedule... are they really serious when they say there's only 24 hours in a day? ;D

monday night was all about finishing "some" incomplete projects and then i got carried away making tags (ugh hello, projects, not create a new project)... really, because it can be a no brainer, i had more fun making that then finishing the unfinished... haha! i know i'll pay for the lack in the long run...

i'm putting together some gifts sets for this saturday's craft event and wanted tags to accompany the gifts... so i started off making a few, then i just couldn't stop! my gifts sets (will share soon) are versatile for any upcoming occassions (Easter, Mother's Day, Teacher's Appreciation, Admin Day, etc) so i couldn't just do Easter tags... i did a few for different celebrations and some plain any occassion ones...

*sentiments shown on tags are from various companies that include TGF, Dandelion Designs and Hero Arts.

ok, it is almost 3am and i should be tucked in bed... calling it a night (or morning)... Thanks for stopping by today and checking in with my craziness!! I appreciate all of your support and wonderful comments and i SO APPRECIATE YOU!! Hugs!!

Butterflies...

Monday Challenge with Lollipop Crafts!! Hey friends, i'm back again with another fun challenge at Lollipop Crafts! This week, Lollipop Girl Denise is hosting and she wants to see wings! Challenge #31 - BUTTERFLIES!!! use anything to do with butterflies, for example, an image, punches, embellies whatever butterfly things you have... and don't forget to join us by linking your creation to InLinkz on the LC blog...

We are sponsored this week by the fabulous Robyn's Fetish... a wonderful prize will be given to one lucky random winner who plays with us this week, so why not fancy your luck?! Thank you Robyn's Fetish for your generous sponsorship!! prize info can be found on the LC blog...

here's my creation for the challenge.... a simple yet elegant thank you card... something similar to the birthday themed card i made for Mimi's birthday celebration... we are always in need of birthday and thank you cards, so i'm trying to whip up as many as i can... =D

again using 'some' scraps too.... the image is from Hero Arts, one of the silhoutte cling stamps i had stashed and never used... it was the perfect time to dust it off and give it ink... can't see it, but the little butterflies (the ones with no design) has a touch of stickles on them... i had lots of fun making this one that i decided to do these for my thank you cards....

so here's a few more that i was able to finish.... not completely done, but almost...

that's all for this post... hope you like what you see and hope to have inspired you to use up those scraps and create something wonderful! spread your wings and fly on over to Lollipop Crafts and join us in this week's challenge!! Mahalo for visiting today!!
