Out of time...

Hello Everyone! Happy Sunday!! the sun is out and it's a beautiful day here in Hawaii, except for all the wind.... where did that come from?!?! =D haha, hence my post title, i've run out of time to play all the challenges happening over at Club Anya and Friends... but i was able to complete 4 challenges staying up until 5 this morning.... would have finished more if i had just a little bit more time, but today was family day and the girls wanted to go to Fun Factory... i'm all about family first, so i gave up my crafting time to be with them... now if the DH went fishing, it would have been a different story... LOL... but family time is ALWAYS precious....

i'm super excited to share with you the ones i have completed though... =D so scroll down... let's get going! this is the first card i completed... took me about an hour prepping everything for this one... and then putting it together was a breeze... out of all 4, this has to be my FAVORITE one... playing along to Kadie's Sew Satisfying challenge, i must say i'm SEW satisfied with this one... my sewing machine is broken and i can't really faux stitch, so i had to find another mean of playing along... then as i was staring into a box of goodies from my GF Kim, i saw the stitch punch she sent to me for Christmas... whipped it out and started punching.... stitched it up and then cut it out using Dahlia nesties to make it look like a flower... as i started to put it on the card, it felt like something was missing... so i took some black CS and punched out some leaves.... to me, it looks much better IRL... to add another thing, the image i used is Sassy Suzi created by Kim that she also sent to me for Christmas... =D Kim, hope you like what i did with your goodies.....
Next up is Kim C.'s "not the norm" challenge... what is this??? using two colors that you don't normally use... inspired by colors on your DP or so forth... well, when i saw the heart flower DP, i knew this would be a pink and yellow creation... i do not normally use this color combo.... but i do like the way this one came out... especially using Lolli Anya for this... DP is by American Crafts... then i kept it real simple using solid CS.... punched out some hearts to add a little bit more to the ribbon and dew drops...
Lysa challenged everyone with a color challenge... use the colors gray, pink, green, and cream... now, this doesn't have to be a wedding couple, i think they look really cute for prom season too... instead of keeping it traditional with black suit and white dress, i colored them up in a creamy color... green for Ian and pink for Anya... pulled out some lace with pearls to accent the card just a little... the papers are by S.E.I... then punched out some green leaves and then found these ribbon flowers in one of my containers i've never looked in for a long time... this one too is kinda cute!
and here is my card for Kelly's Flower Power challenge.... didn't come out the way i really wanted it too, but i'm okay with it... i LOVE HG Sing.... one of my all time favorites (one of the first TGF stamps i bought too)... the challenge was to use a Prima or flower of some sort on your creation... i think mine could pass to be the sun... hehehe... papers are form DCWV and i embossed the yellow DP with my swiss dots folder for a little texture... the orange polka dot ribbon was just sitting in my ribbon box and so i said, ah, why not use it...

this is what i've been working on last night until this morning.... and i still have engergy to clean the house... OMG! what is wrong with me?!?! LOL... actually, i think ima lie down for a bit before we go and visit Grandma at the hospital... Yep, she's still in there.... she's still very fragile and can barely walk, so it might be another week or 2 before they release her...
okie dokie... Ciao, for now... =D
