Get Well Soon!!

I really should tell myself that... hehe!!! yesterday was a day of rest... hubby set up the pool for the girls while mommy took it in to just rest and relax... i guess that's what i really needed because the pain under my rib cage has subdued a bit... back pain is still there and i know it won't go away until it's time, but the chest pain was the unbearable this weekend... it had me in tears.... sipped some hot peppermint tea over the weekend to get my mind off the pain and it helped... enough to let me get some cards done... =D

so with all this random pain of happenings, i decided to make some kind of get well card and i came up with this....
had Nurse Nora for a little over 2 months now and finally got the chance to let her shine.... i think she is so sweet... can you believe this is the first time i've ever tried to keep with a blackish/grayish and white theme... totally out of my comfort zone... but i told myself... "hey self, why not try it... if it doesn't work out, you can always stamp another one and give it color!" LOL... i was determined after finding the DP that fit perfectly as my background, the b/w ribbon and pretty shimmery flowers to make it work out... did i do a good job??!!

well... i'm off to another day of volunteer work.... today and tomorrow are the final days of school registration and then i'm done... looking forward to finishing up baby shower things and crafting.... (i just hope i can survive with the back aches).... always thanking you for supporting my blog and visiting when you can.... i appreciate all of this... =D for now, have a beautiful day!!!

Magical Monday!

It's a beautiful Monday!!! I did get crafty all night Saturday and made a few cards... Wow!!! that was my best crafting day by far in such a long time... so today i share with you a card i created for a couple of challenges...

1. ATS Challenge #36 - Sketch

2. Flutter by Wednesdays #112 - OpenFlipped the sketch over at ATS and used this sweet pixie by CC Designs and this is how my card turned out... i love the color combo... found these papers in my scrap stash... also did some masking to put the pixie onto the stump... stickles to sparkle her wings and of course i needed some bling on the card somewhere... i'm very satisfied with the way this one came out... =D

yesterday was such a lazy day... guess staying up late on Saturday took a toll on me and all i wanted to do was lie in bed.... for most of the day... hehe! hope i get some craft time again today... so much i want to do... well, Thank you for coming by to visit today!! Hope i can have a few more to share... but until then... Have a Magical Day!!

A fluttering farewell....

Well friends, this is the last challenge for the month of May at Flutter by Wednesday and it is my last DT post for the team as well... if you've been following the blog, you may have noticed some changes... if you haven't seen it yet, head on over to the FBW blog and grab your new badges and please read on for the changes that will be effective as of July... what? huh? July? yes, the FBW team will be taking the month of June off... meaning there is no challenges for June and the blog will resume the first Wednesday of July... not catching on? all the details are on the FBW blog...

so yes, i will not be on the team for the next term, but i'm hoping to join up again for the next call... we'll see... with life changes slowly approaching, i can't really plan that far ahead... to my fellow team members... i will MISS you all dearly!! i have enjoyed my time with all of you and have made numerous new found friendships... a goal for me is to play along with the new team as much as i can, when time permits... i wish EVERYONE the best of luck in old and new adventures... i still know where to find you!! hehe!!

used Manga Fairy/Sugar Nellie paired with the field fence from CC Designs... i think it's really cute how she's sitting on the fence... although you can't really see it in the pix, i glittered her wings, wand and stars on her sandals with stickles... off centered the main panel and added a few dew drops... simple right?!

Flower Power FBW!

Hiya there!!! sorry i'm a little late, but my internet is up and going now... so it's time for Flutter by Wednesday #110 and i'm throwing in a little theme for you all this week!! besides your MUST have of a butterfly, fairy or angel you must also have FLOWERS on your creation... any kind of flowers... some examples, flower stamp, papers, punched flowers, primas, or whatever your heart desires...


here's my creation for a little inspiration... Heidi among the flowers, a C C Design, was perfect to use for this challenge... and i also found some colorful DP to use with this card... the fence punch was too cute not to use with this image... i punched some flowers and added it around along with some tiny yellow butterflies....

here's my card for the week... based on the inspiration of Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #72, this is what i created... MelJen's Designs was very kind to let the DT play with 2 images and i decided to use this lovely fairy with her pot of MAGIC... her magic makes the flowers grow... =D i just love the colors on this card... a very spring mixture... also added a little hint of stickles to each flower and foliage for that touch of magic...

i couldn't get any simplier than this... a little bit of color, with a whole lot of simplicity... told yah i had a hard time... the sentiment is from the Butterfly Wishes set available at TGF... and some punched butterflies kept this simple, clean and yet something i would definitely give to someone...

playing with some scraps this week, i used Angel Anya from TGF... in a blue and brown combo i created this cutie... i flipped the sketch a little, which came out okay... i wish you could actually see the glitter i have on her wings... the weather wasn't all that great when i took the picture today... sorry... isn't she precious?! i'm donating this card to the TGF Cares Card Drive too.... this should bring some sweet blessings to someone...

Fluttering Well Wishes

my creation includes butterflies, surrounding Madelynn, a Twinkle Tot by TGF... i LOVE coloring her up, the combinations are endless with this cutie... this week i used some subtle colors, lilac and lime green.... mmmm... can you believe, i didn't use any glitter on this creation?!?! i can't believe it myself... LOL... kept this simple and somewhat clean... Also sending this one to TGF Cares Card Drive... sure hope this will make someone smile!!

i'm sorry, i was having problems with my creation this week and wasn't exactly satisfied with the outcome... hence, i'm determined to try again but it will be posted a little later... it seems nothing has been friendly with me the last few days... time hasn't been the best of friend to me, my craft room is upside down because i just brought home a new (used) desk yesterday and everything is currently misplaced and my disease (as my dad calls it, actually talking about my pregnancy) has not been the best... i'm also trying to get used to using a laptop again... i've been a little spoiled with my desktop, but it's so far away from my craft space... the laptop is ideal and right there, but i still have to use the desktop to load pictures and print digis... LOL... but i will bring you a FBW creation soon...

also made a matching card to go with this wonderful box, that i plan to fill with some yummy goodies... i thought this paper by S.E.I was perfect to use this week since it's fluttering with LOADS of butterflies... on the box, i used the "for you" sentiment from the fancy fleurs set from TGF... used some nesties to shape and then my MS butterfly punches to decorate it a bit... complete with some bling... matched the card as best as i could... the sentiment and butterfly on the card is from the butterfly wishes set also from TGF.... sorry the picture ain't the greatest!!

i used Fairy Tink from TGF... this cutie is discontinued, and i was super happy to have found her... she completes my set of the 3 fairies... tried to portray her as Tinker Bell... more so a Julia Roberts Tinker Bell in Hook, but nonetheless Tink... i used the colors from the inspirational picture along with glitters that i like to say is pixie dust.... the burst of colorfullness just brings lots of happiness my way... and i hope it does for you too!

okay, here's my card... my HK sizzix dies have been long abandoned and i just need to start using them again... really! they looked so sad not being used... LOL... so i used one this week instead of my normal stamped image... also turned this card into an easel card... and added my lovely layered butterflies with rhinestone middles... =D the only thing stamped here is the sentiment... glittered up her heart for that extra shine... hmmm, yah think i'm still feeling Valentine's?! LOL... i hope you like this! and i hope my OCS partner does too!!

here's my simply sweet card... i used this stamp that my GF Kim sent to me... i thought it was perfect since it had a butterfly and some hearts.... really made this quite simple by adding some layers and some pretty heart ribbon by American Crafts.... and then some stickles on various parts of the stamp... i hope you still like it, even in it's simplest form... =D

the muscles in my arm pulled again and i'm having the hardest time crafting and lifting up my right arm... so simple was simply good enough for me.... sorry it's not something extravagant like my normal work... the pain is too intense for me to really detail my work... so with that said, i'll probably take another few days off from crafting to mend the arm...

Hey Bloggers!!! i really MISS you all!! sorry i haven't been around the last few days... needed to take care of some things... but i'm back now and as soon as i'm settled, i'll get back to creating... boy do i have a lot to catch up on...

again this week i went with cheery colorful colors.... bright colors will surely bring smiles to any gloomy day right?! I used my all time fav fairy/butterfly, Flutter Anya from TGF... she's just so much fun to color... also used Sketch #6 from Anyone for Anya to make the layout for this card... and buttons buttons buttons... had to add them... i glittered up Anya's dress with baby blue stickles and also used the sentiment from the butterfly wishes set also available at TGF.... papers are from the DCWV butterflies stack... and Ta-Dah... i bring to you Flutter by Wednesday!!!

i'm starting to LOVE bright playful colors... so i said why not for this week?! colored up my first Manga girl... uh-huh, in BRIGHT colors... of course i have those fluttering butterflies spread out around the image... i used some colorful scrap DP by DCWV and added rhinestones to the DP flower middles... i was going to put a "for you" sentiment on the top, but it seems as though my stamps have run off somewhere... =D
