Get Well Soon!!

I really should tell myself that... hehe!!! yesterday was a day of rest... hubby set up the pool for the girls while mommy took it in to just rest and relax... i guess that's what i really needed because the pain under my rib cage has subdued a bit... back pain is still there and i know it won't go away until it's time, but the chest pain was the unbearable this weekend... it had me in tears.... sipped some hot peppermint tea over the weekend to get my mind off the pain and it helped... enough to let me get some cards done... =D

so with all this random pain of happenings, i decided to make some kind of get well card and i came up with this....
had Nurse Nora for a little over 2 months now and finally got the chance to let her shine.... i think she is so sweet... can you believe this is the first time i've ever tried to keep with a blackish/grayish and white theme... totally out of my comfort zone... but i told myself... "hey self, why not try it... if it doesn't work out, you can always stamp another one and give it color!" LOL... i was determined after finding the DP that fit perfectly as my background, the b/w ribbon and pretty shimmery flowers to make it work out... did i do a good job??!!

well... i'm off to another day of volunteer work.... today and tomorrow are the final days of school registration and then i'm done... looking forward to finishing up baby shower things and crafting.... (i just hope i can survive with the back aches).... always thanking you for supporting my blog and visiting when you can.... i appreciate all of this... =D for now, have a beautiful day!!!

Happy Birthday Dear!

Wow!! after a little over a week of non-crafting production, i finally got my hands busy yesterday... gosh, did that feel fabulous... mainly because i had to get some cards done for my hubby's birthday today!!!! Happy Birthday to my Hubby!!! =D and many more to come....
i finally trimmed and inked up Fleur Anya... one of the newly (well, back in May) cutest TGF Anyas released, i actually purchased her from Tamiko's... she's adorable and perfect for any occasion... today, i used her to send some sweet birthday wishes to my hubby... paper pieced her dress (something i haven't done in awhile) and added rhinestones to her flower middles... punched some flowers to add here and there, also with rhinestone middles... and complete with a "birthday wishes" sentiment, from the butterfly wishes set also available at TGF.... kept it simply layered because hubby likes to leave his stuff on his desk to collect dust... LOL... and hey, this fit perfect for the Fabulous Flowers challenge over at Anyone for Anya..... go check out the challenge, i did!

hope my crafting mojo is back and not just for the day... i've been lost not being able to create something... but with the heat and feeling tired from being almost 7 months pregnant, i knew i would have a stump somewhere... hehe!! DD#2 and I are off to find the perfect cake for today's celebration, so i'll be back later, with hopefully something crafty... toodles for now!!!

Another Sweet Birthday Card!

Happy Thursday Friends!!! Hope you enjoyed my creations yesterday... i have another one to share with you today... didn't get as much crafting as i wanted done the last 2 days... at the very last minute, we decided to have a little "water" gathering for DD#1's 7th birthday... her bday is actually on Sunday, but because it was so last minute, we're not making her party until next Saturday... so i've been trying to get things for that... didn't have time to make invites so i had to get store bought ones... ugh, can't believe that... guess that's what happens when we wait... eek!

and then i got hit with another obstacle and i need to fly over to Oahu for a fetal echo... so in the midst of all else, i've been trying to schedule flights for myself and the DH... thankfully all is confirmed and we'll be flying over next Fridayfor the day... the really sad thing about it, i'll be missing DD#1's May Day program AGAIN! for the 2nd year in a row.... this is when i say, "why me?!" i hope she understands that the Dr.'s need to check on her baby brother and that she'll forgive me for it... these are the times i feel like a yucky mother.... =(

alright, enough with the sadness... this is the 2nd card i made for DD#1 in celebration of her birthday!!
based on a few challenges, i created this cutie... i used Flutter Anya from TGF because she is just so CUTE! i love the color combo and the little sparkle in her wings... i even embossed the yellow strip, can't really tell from the photo though... a few rhinestones and dew drops... hope she likes it!! here's the challenges i used for my card:

again this week i went with cheery colorful colors.... bright colors will surely bring smiles to any gloomy day right?! I used my all time fav fairy/butterfly, Flutter Anya from TGF... she's just so much fun to color... also used Sketch #6 from Anyone for Anya to make the layout for this card... and buttons buttons buttons... had to add them... i glittered up Anya's dress with baby blue stickles and also used the sentiment from the butterfly wishes set also available at TGF.... papers are from the DCWV butterflies stack... and Ta-Dah... i bring to you Flutter by Wednesday!!!

here's my little magical card all ready for Flutter by! finally got to ink up Fairy Chloe from TGF... isn't she a cutie?! colored her pastel purple, blue and pink to match the DP a little... her wings have diamond stickles as well as the blue... and yes, i have snowflakes on here!!! both big and small snowflakes to accent the card, but i think the DP says it all... don't yah think?! =D instead of glittering the snowflakes this time, i added some rhinestones for bling... mmm, i just love the pretty colors... my layout is based on sketch #4 over at Anyone for Anya?? and my made up sentiment completes this card... "Wishing you a Fairy Magical Christmas" I had a friend on mind when i was working this card and i reallllllly hope she likes it... =D
