Saying Good Bye with a big "Dare" Bang!!!

What's popping friends??!! We are already into July!!! can you believe how fast summer is going by?! i sure can't... except i can really do WITHOUT this heat... hehe....

Thank you so very much for ALL your particpation in last month's Dare Challenge!!! All of your creations were FANTASTIC and very summery in every and any way... So thank you again!!! we had a tremendous amount of participants.....

now for some HUGE announcements!!! For starters, we have another challenge for you this week and it's sure to get your fireworks popping... Summer is here!!! Yes it is!!! can you believe we are already into JUNE?! my goodness, i can't! so yes, summer is making it's round this year and i'm sure all the kids are waiting for some beach/pool time, family vacations and summer camps right?! all the kids of the Daredevils are surely EXCITED about summer, so the Diedrich Dare will be taking a little break so we can spend some time with our munchkins too...

it's a DOUBLE DARE!!

Time for Whimsical Wednesday - The Diedrich Dare and today is a DOUBLE DARE #36... issued by the darling daughters of team member Heather, Willow and Piper are giving you your choice sketch... and both are fabulously wonderful!! take a look at these...

didn't i tell you the sketches are wonderful!!! i really wanted to do both, but my mojo was slipping away a little... so i had enough time to complete one... i used Piper's sketch which was a huge challenge for me... she used the whole front as the card... took me a few hours to just think about what to create and i ended up with this...

i used one piece of paper and created a little scene... the stamps i've used were, Pixie from CC Designs, roses from the TGF fancy fleurs set, the sun is from Dandelion Designs and the sentiment is from Hero Arts... phew, not bad for the Dare's Mix it up May theme this month huh?! hehe... i chalked the sky background and added the butterflies... not to mention Piper LOVES butterflies... =D i really hope i did her sketch proud!!!

Surfin' colors with the Dare!

what'd i tell yah... it's pretty simple to follow right?!? i love it... it is great to show off some of the different papers i've been using.... Thanks Jack for another A+ sketch....

see... i told yah it was Rain-ing.... hehehe... coincidently, it is really raining here right now... not as sweet as this Rain... i finshed this card before i even knew it was going to rain... LOL, oops, did i bring the rain?! haha! anyway, this cutie is WS Rain Rain, a digi from TGF... i couldn't wait to play with her... she is soooo CUTE... at first, i looked at her and thought blues and yellows... but then, i wnated to donate this card to the TGF Cares Card Drive and had to think of something else... then i saw this strawberry DP in my stash and knew this is what i was going to create... voila! it's raining sweetness all around her... i used rhinestones for her coat buttons too... then i punched out some hearts and some flowers... cut the flowers in half and glued it on to the hearts to make it look like strawberries... with a little dab of stickles, i added the little seeds to the berries too... do you like???

I used Easter Anya on my card today... and did squares vs rectangle shapes... i LOVE making easel cards and that is what i've done here today.... i imagined the buttons i've used are Easter eggs... LOL, great with this cute bunny right?! needed to add some kind of bling (a signature on my cards) so i used some medium size rhinestones on the corners and scattered some mini ones on the focal point... made this card for my sweet March OCS partner Enjoli!! oops, i hope she doesn't see this before she receives it!! =D main thing is, i hope she likes it!!

Ah! ok, i know my GF is going to see this before she even receives it... but with this sneak peek, i hope she likes it... i used Jack's sketch on both the card and the book/holder (that i CASE-d from MAMA... thanks girl!!) and embellished this cutie away with some flowers, bling and butterflies... kept with the same papers on both as it's a set... so what do you think??? is it enough to get you in the groove to join the Daredevils and Flutter by girls???

Spring is in the air... and my flower garden is beginning to bloom... i LOVE the spring colors and spring weather.... it's so crisp and pretty... just like Whimisical Wednesdays - the Diedrich Dare #27.... Nicky is daring you to use his blooming sketch here.... hehe, that's what i thought when i saw his challenge...

i used the Lillies digi image again this week... it's so versatile and could be used for anything... perfect for Easter, or Mother's day... or even thank you cards and get well wishes... i'll let you decide... this week, the sketch shouted flowers to me, so i pulled out some pretty flower DP and a my dahlia nesties.... oh and glitter and bling... can't forget those... and here i am bringing spring right to your screen! i'm so sorry for the bad picture... the lighting in the room this was taken in isn't the best, so the rhinestones look a little bland... =D

Thursday Dare!

Couldn't i have been a little bit more original with my title!!! LOL... sorry, my brain doesn't want to function right now... i'm a little late with my Whimisical Wednesday - Diedrich Dare post, but now i'm super happy that it's done and up...

hope you all were able to atleast view my little reminder i put up yesterday... so again, it's time for the Diedrich Dare #26... an inspirational photo from Jack....
really, i can't wait to see the movie... opening weekend was a little crazy so we decided to wait a week or 2... but this is one that is on my list of must sees...

so here's what i took from the inspirational photo... i original decided i was definitely going to take the colors... purple and green... and then i had the first image, Lillies, my 2nd digi i got from the Character Cafe, and did a blend of purples and lots of glitter... then rummaging through my stamps, i saw this cutie cat that was perfect to add on... used a scrap of green DP by S.E.I for the BG... it looked a little plain, so i aded some rhinestones... and to the left of the cat image, just enough room to add a sentiment... i just don't know what sentiment to use yet...

i used Bertie and Friends... a cutie who is ready for Spring... flowers are growing, the butterfly is fluttering and Bertie is as happy as can be... of course most of you know what my favorite color is... LOL, so of course Bertie was going to reflect that today... =D i glittered the grass with some green stickles... yellow glitter glue on the flower centers... baby blue stickles on Bertie's chest and a touch of diamond stickles on the butterfly wings... i guess i'm just stickled today... hehe... couldn't help but bring out some cheerful spring colored DP to accent this cute patootie...

A Fluttering Dare for an OCS

Phew! can i say that line in one breath without gasping?! LOL!! It's Wednesday Friends!!! and you all know what that means!! Time for another week of Flutter by Wednesdays and the Diedrich Dare!!! yipppeee! i LOVE Wednesdays...

this week i decided to combine my DT challenges... since i haven't had much time in my happy spot, this was the best this week... i've also combined making this card for my OCS partner Gail.... Gail, i'm so sorry this is coming late... but it is on the way...

okay, here's my card... my HK sizzix dies have been long abandoned and i just need to start using them again... really! they looked so sad not being used... LOL... so i used one this week instead of my normal stamped image... also turned this card into an easel card... and added my lovely layered butterflies with rhinestone middles... =D the only thing stamped here is the sentiment... glittered up her heart for that extra shine... hmmm, yah think i'm still feeling Valentine's?! LOL... i hope you like this! and i hope my OCS partner does too!!

Happy Whimsical Wednesday!!!! Time for The Diedrich Dare #23... a color challenge from Mama Daredevil herself, Jessica! and even though it's still winter, i'm sure you'll think SPRING... check out the colors you have to play with this week....
i immediately thought of spring when i saw this challenge... and i had the perfect bunny in mind...

uh-huh! Easter Anya from TGF... i was super excited when i received her last week... this is her first debut on my blog.... ain't she just cute as a bunny?! i used the sketch over at MMSC#41 to guide me on this challenge... it's a fabulous sketch to use... also used some pretty DP that i won from one of their weekly challenges... and when i flipped through the stack, i knew what papers i was going to use first.... i used cotton candy stickles to glitter up the light pink on her outfit... diamond stickles to add some glitz to the easter eggs... and white fun flock on the white part of those darling bunny ears... something was desparately needed on the edges and those buttons were the last touch...

again this creation was simple and sweet.... my arm was already hurting by the time i was putting this card together... but, i'm satisfied with the way my creations came out...

Hey Bloggers!!! i really MISS you all!! sorry i haven't been around the last few days... needed to take care of some things... but i'm back now and as soon as i'm settled, i'll get back to creating... boy do i have a lot to catch up on...

Today i bring to you Whimsical Wednesday - The Diedrich Dare #21 ~ Sketch by Jack! and ooh-la-la is it another fantastic one... we'd LOVE to see what you create with his sketch... however you interp it, here it is...
told ya it was a fantastic one....
my interp was to make a long card... something i have never done before... so this was a challenge for me... my card measures 5x9... did lots of matting (something i LOVE to do)... the DP is by S.E.I and that pretty gal sitting there is from the Miss Anya Love set at TGF... the DP itself is really pretty and shines in the light, so i tried not to hide that as much... basically all i added was different rhinestones on the top panel... you know, for that bling! I also glittered up the light pink areas on Miss Anya with diamond stickles... and used pink ribbon, that i knotted to interp the sketch... and here's my card... all ready to send some LOVE...
