No tricks - just TREATS!

Happy ALOHA Friday everyone!!! i LOVE Fridays.... even more now that hubby is away for work and it's the day he comes home for the weekend! YAY!! makes the excitement for the weekend even more special...

i gave myself a pat on the shoulder once these goodies were done... i'm usually very last minute putting things like this together, but this year i'm early... Wow, couldn't believe myself... haha! guess it's easier right now with only one child in school... by the time DD2 goes to school, i'll have to make holiday goodies well in advance... oh gosh, and i can only imagine when all 3 are in school... i would have to start making Halloween treats in August... LOL... okay maybe i'm pushing it a little... hehe!
alright... so i fell in love with a posting on the Dandelion Design blog... this one here to be exact... i think it was the crimping that made me head over heels to do something like that... =D Thanks Jean for the inspiration! i made my treats a little bigger than hers to fit a few more yummies inside... i actually wanted it to fit the pencil too, but it wasn't going to work out that way for me.... bought some k&co halloween paper and cut it down to 4x6 (actual treat measures 2x3 after assembling)... then i used my circle punch and scalloped circle nestie for the tags... found this round circle stamp with the phrase "trick or treat, smell my feet" around the edges complete with witch's feet... thought it was so cute and had to use it... and i just tied the pencil to the tag with some orange ribbon... simple, cute and besides, these 2nd graders will rip it open for the candy anyway... =D
this bunch is for DD1's hula sisters... i re-visted a fave from last year's goodies since i had a few leftover that were semi premade... using the sizzix window treat boxes... so all i had to do was stamp and color more images and put the whole thing together... oh yah, and stuff it with treats...

the only thing left is to make something for her teacher, Kumu and A+ leader... i usually keep that simple too... a jar full of candy! =D

well, i am in the craft room today... trying to start on a Christmas order... i think i've only finished 3 cards... so that leaves me with 17 more to do... Lil' man hasn't been feeling to well after his shots this week, and today he has finally gotten back into his normal routine... SLEEPING! so just a room over, i'm getting crafty! =D

Thanks for stopping by today!! i appreciate you coming to visit and leaving such sweet comments... it means so much and really keeps a light on to keep crafting... enjoy the weekend and i'll be back soon!! HUGGIES!

  6. Great treats Kris for your daughter's class and hula group. They are so lucky to always get such cute treats from you. Wish my kids were in class so that I can have the treat holder after they eat the treats. :) So sorry that Keenan was not doing so hot after his shots. Poor little man. I never liked watching my little ones get their shots. I am so glad that he is doing better. Have a great week! Hugs!

  8. Kris, you did a great job keeping the treat bags simple but appealing. I don't know how you do it all. You deserve an award for Crafty Mom of the Year!
