August OCS

Now that I know my partner received her card I can share it with you. This is my card that I made for my partner Colleen for Teri's August OCS... Be sure to hop on over to her blog to check on the details for September's OCS....

After much frustration on how I wanted to make the card I finally settled on a tri-fold... i've learned some really amazing things about my partner... and we have so much in common... she has a love of asian stamps, as do I so this was the perfect card for me to make and her to receive! Thanks Teri, for the opportunity to meet new friends!!

this is the first panel... Colleen's favorite colors are purple and pink, so those were the main colors for her card... the background paper I made with an old bamboo background stamp from SU (i think it was like 2002 or 2003)... I stamped it in green and brown for a more realistic look... the 2 chinese girls is a stamp from Mari and Me... perfect right! i punched out some sakuras to place her and there and completed it with little rhinestones...

this is the second panel... again the BG was stamped using a cherry blossom stamp from SU (i think it's retired! LOL)... The fan stamp is from one of the many stamps i bought many years ago... there was no copyright on the woodblock, so no one I can give credit to..

Again i used the same technique as the first panel and did it again on the last panel... i used my favorite sitting girl (no one to give credit to)... the crane is from SU... Cranes represent longevity... so i thought perfect with my little note... and more punched sakuras with rhinestones...
In my honest opinion, i think this is the best card i've made by far... Or atleast one that i absolutely approve of... LOL... Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! TFL!!!!
