Baby Shower Ideas...

Wow!! i've been MIA again huh?! i think it's because of the heat wave we've been having here... it's been so HOT, my mojo is hiding in front the fan... LOL... you can find me anywhere a fan is located... haha!! hubby let me have the fan all to myself in the craft room so i did get down and busy crafting the last few days... =D today's sharing is a few baby shower ideas for table pieces and favors... also eager to submit this for "Monday Mania recycled 3D item", a challenge by Kim over at CA&F.... go and check out her samples... it's FANTABULOUS!!

before i begin, i have to mention, according to the Chinese calendar, i am born the year of the RAT... indeed to what people say about those born in that year... PACK RATS.... and yes, i'm definitely a pack rat and keep almost anything i think i can use again (even if i don't)... so here is what i used as my recycable items....a clear sleeve from some nesties i purchased (never did i think i would use these for something, but i did!) and juice mix containers (lots of these)... and here is what i made with them...

because of my current life change, Mommy and Daddy Anya and Ian set, available at TGF, was perfect to bring out and play with for the challenge... especially with a baby shower coming up and a few friends who are also having babies, this set will be out on my desk for a while... i used the containers for some table decorations... covered them with some little boy DPs and some solid strips of CS... border punched the top layer of DP... it's filled with some lollipop washcloths i put together and later i'll fill it with some Hershey's Kisses too (it's so hot, it would just melt right now)... i used the clear sleeve to make a door hanger... it's funny, when i'm trying to rest a bit in the room, i can hear the DDs come and check on me... the little one would say, "sshh! mommy's sleeping" and the oldest would say, "No, SSHHH! mommy's resting" LOL... so i thought i'd create this to hang on my door... now, i do have a sense of humor and i couldn't NOT include something for the hubby... check out the flip side of this door hanger.... a little joke to smile at... Hubby likes to enjoy himself on the weekends with some friends sometimes... and this will normally include having a few beers and what not... so, sometimes, the kids and i are up way before daddy is and i'll say "Quiet! Daddy's Hangin'!" hangin' is a Hawaii pidgin slang for a hangover... the kids don't understand the phrase, but i do, and i can't help but giggle... especially when DD#1 ask, what is Daddy hanging on? LOL... priceless moments....

hope you enjoyed visiting my blog today and checking out what i've created so far... don't forget my blog candy is still open until Thursday.... comment here for a chance to win some goodies... new giveaway will begin on Friday.... as always, i THANK YOU for your continued support and wonderful comments... means SO much to me!!! Have a fun-filled day and i'll be back soon!!!
