Some news....

Again, i'm so sorry for my long disappearances!!! i am still around (behind the scenes) and trying to find the energy to get back into my creativity zone... as most of you have heard, Hawaii was under an extreme tsunami watch today... all has ended with great news that nothing major has happened to any of our islands... i deeply send my prayers to those that may have lost loved ones in the big earthquake affecting Chile... and i send a huge THANK YOU to my wonderful blogging sisters that have kept us in their prayers today as we patiently waited the outcome...

With March quickly approaching, i will have some blog candy up on here on the 1st that i will run to the 14th in celebration of my birthday!! Wow!!! it's coming up sooooo fast! please check back on Monday for the details...

That's pretty much it for now... i think i'm a little rundowned from today's events and is going to find some time to rest right now... although i hear the craft room calling me into it's trance... LOL!!

okay, here's my card... my HK sizzix dies have been long abandoned and i just need to start using them again... really! they looked so sad not being used... LOL... so i used one this week instead of my normal stamped image... also turned this card into an easel card... and added my lovely layered butterflies with rhinestone middles... =D the only thing stamped here is the sentiment... glittered up her heart for that extra shine... hmmm, yah think i'm still feeling Valentine's?! LOL... i hope you like this! and i hope my OCS partner does too!!

Happy Tuesday Friends!! Wow, i feel like i'm in another time zone... haven't done any crafting since my DT posts, and i'm feeling the withdrawals... but with caring for my still not healed arm and a house full of sickies, there was just no way i was making it into the craft room!! I do apologize for my absence... it will probably be another week of not posting much as, DD#2 got hit hard Saturday with a slight fever and lots of congestion... poor baby!! and Sunday and Monday she was determined to have me lie with her the whole day... on a plus side, atleast i've gotten some much needed rest!! =D

Happy Whimsical Wednesday!!!! Time for The Diedrich Dare #23... a color challenge from Mama Daredevil herself, Jessica! and even though it's still winter, i'm sure you'll think SPRING... check out the colors you have to play with this week....
i immediately thought of spring when i saw this challenge... and i had the perfect bunny in mind...

uh-huh! Easter Anya from TGF... i was super excited when i received her last week... this is her first debut on my blog.... ain't she just cute as a bunny?! i used the sketch over at MMSC#41 to guide me on this challenge... it's a fabulous sketch to use... also used some pretty DP that i won from one of their weekly challenges... and when i flipped through the stack, i knew what papers i was going to use first.... i used cotton candy stickles to glitter up the light pink on her outfit... diamond stickles to add some glitz to the easter eggs... and white fun flock on the white part of those darling bunny ears... something was desparately needed on the edges and those buttons were the last touch...

again this creation was simple and sweet.... my arm was already hurting by the time i was putting this card together... but, i'm satisfied with the way my creations came out...

here's my simply sweet card... i used this stamp that my GF Kim sent to me... i thought it was perfect since it had a butterfly and some hearts.... really made this quite simple by adding some layers and some pretty heart ribbon by American Crafts.... and then some stickles on various parts of the stamp... i hope you still like it, even in it's simplest form... =D

the muscles in my arm pulled again and i'm having the hardest time crafting and lifting up my right arm... so simple was simply good enough for me.... sorry it's not something extravagant like my normal work... the pain is too intense for me to really detail my work... so with that said, i'll probably take another few days off from crafting to mend the arm...

this darling RAK is from my sweet GF Brenda!! she knows i LOVE HK... so she sent this cute notepad that i believe she made with her BIA... total cuteness!! i LOVE it! and if you are a follower of her awesome blog, you might have seen that cute favor container with the flower on top that she made... yah, i LOVE that too!! so she was so sweet to send me one!! along with some uberly sweet treats!! THANK YOU SO MUCH Brenda!!! i'm LOVING it all!!! Hugs to you GF!

Day dreamin' of LOVE...

Happy Friday!!! Yay for another long weekend!!! so much going on this weekend i can barely keep my feet grounded... Valentine's and Chinese New Year on Sunday, President's day on Monday... Wow!!! that's all i can really say...

i was a little determined last night and this morning to get atleast one card made... and wow did it feel good to be able to craft again... =D big smiles coming from me...
Here's a Vday card i made for my darling hubby... i hope he likes it... had to finish it quickly before he finished work today... =D used one of the Miss Anya Love girls from TGF... DP from American Crafts... oodles of primas that i won from MMSC... MS lace border punch and lots of matting... the pink on Miss Anya is glittered with frosted lace stickles and well... that's about it...

Another Saturday post... woohoo! i must be feeling better... although i'll probably be MIA tomorrow since we'll be at the beach all day... i'm making sure i'm bringing my coloring mediums and stamped images so i can get ahead with those... =D

here's what i've created... really plain and simple... used my nesties for the big heart and adhered some scrap lace to the back of it... used some new Valentine's day ribbon by American Crafts... it says Love on it and has hearts too... punched some hearts and added rhinestones middles and placed them on the corner o the big heart... and also found some whinestone hearts that i have on the bottom left corner... i used Fairy Lala that you can purchase from La-La Land Crafts and added a rhinestone heart over the star that she's actually holding... glittered the red areas of the image and that's it...

Sorry i gottah get going... we have another date night with some friends... and i was suppose to get ready 1/2 hour ago... LOL... oops, my bad! Hope you all like this creation!!! See you all soon! Hugs!!!

RAK and Joy of Crafting Virtual Guest

Happy EARLY Saturday ya'll!! Sorry i've been MIA the last 2 days... caught a cold last weekend and i've been trying to get rid of it alllllll week! yuck! i finally have my voice back and my throst isn't as sore but i'm still coughing up some yuckies... feel much better though... i think with the weather constantly changing here, hot to cold to hot to cold, it was bound to happen... i put crafting aside since my DT posts so i don't have anything ready to show you... maybe tomorrow...

Oh! so i desperately and hoped so so bad that the DH takes me to see Dear John... the newest Nicholas Sparks novel turned movie... now if you spied my profile, then you know i just LOVE all books by Nicholas... yes, i'm a "freak" fan of his... so we actually had a date planned for tonight (saturday) to watch but i just couldn't wait and kept begging him to take me... =D so he did... and OMGosh! i was tearing in the theater and i didn't care who was looking... come on now, i cried reading the book... LOL, so i just knew i was going to cry watching the movie... if you didn't read the book yet, DON'T!! watch the movie first... you'll be a little disappointed if you already know the story and details...

i have a RAK to share with you from my sweet and dear GF Kim Y.... she really surprised me with some HAPPY mail...
Look at this beautiful Valentine's day card she sent to me... love how she glittered the edges... and the fabulous coloring she did on Izzy!! one word... GORGEOUS!!

here's the goodies that she sent with the card... lots of embellies to play with... and some new clear stamps for me to use too... Thank you SO much Kim!!! it really caught me by surprise to see these goodies waiting for me... and despite how i was feeling, you surely brightened my day!! Hugs to you sweetie!

these next bunch of goodies is actually a goodie bag win from the live taping of our local craft show "The Joy of Crafting" hosted by none other than Joy S... i got some luck and was chosen as one of the neighbor island virtual guests... meaning, i'm not actually at the live taping because i'm not on that island, but i was randomly chosen to receive a goodie bag and have my name mentioned on the show... how FABULOUS is that?! and oh my!! I even got a VIP pass with my name on it... Woohooo! So this is my bunch of goodies from the different sponsors of that special taping... it was taped on January 9th and will air next month.... my family and I had the pleasure of meeting Joy in person over the holidays... She's so lovable and fun... and DD#1 just LOVES her.... Thanks Joy for sending over all these goodies!! can't wait to play play play...

Ah! and she even sneaked in something for the girls!!! HK round tins... we didn't open them yet... it's so pretty i don't want them to open it... but by tomorrow, the packaging will be ripped... =D Thank you Aunty Joy for the goodies!!! DD#1 can't wait until you come again... she keeps asking what you'll make next!! hehe!

Oh my! i sure hope you all stuck with me until the end... that's what happens when i'm deprived of keeping up with my blog... i just have so much to share... LOL... i think i'm getting back in to the sway of things again... now that i'm almost 100% over this cold, i feel up to crafting again... i really miss you all and hope to bring you some creations soon! my interp was to make a long card... something i have never done before... so this was a challenge for me... my card measures 5x9... did lots of matting (something i LOVE to do)... the DP is by S.E.I and that pretty gal sitting there is from the Miss Anya Love set at TGF... the DP itself is really pretty and shines in the light, so i tried not to hide that as much... basically all i added was different rhinestones on the top panel... you know, for that bling! I also glittered up the light pink areas on Miss Anya with diamond stickles... and used pink ribbon, that i knotted to interp the sketch... and here's my card... all ready to send some LOVE...
