Thank you bunches!

Hip-hip-HOORAY!!! it's ALOHA Friday!! oh yes, i've been waiting for this day.... the weekend infact... our Maui fair began yesterday and i'm so looking forward to some yummy for my tummy.... hehehe!! deep fried oreos... YUMMMM-MY!

i'm going MIA this weekend, but i had to leave you with something cheerful! i was determined to make some thank you cards last week in less than 12 hours to be sent to some wonderful ladies... and with a time limit, here is what i created....you likey?!? i know i do... wanted to keep it simple as much as possible so i could finish in time but sometimes that doesn't always work... although it does look simple, it was sorta labor intensive (can you say "up all night", LOL)... lots of cutting, punching and putting together... overall, i'm very happy with the outcome (made it all in time too) and even more happy to hear that the recipients liked it... that always puts a smile on my face...

back to the card... after prepping all the pieces, i adhered just the edges of the pot (sides and bottom, not the top) to the layered oval to form a pocket... punched out a bunch of MS daisies that are layered over a toothpick... this helps to stick the flowers in the pot and give it height to your preference... punched out a bunch of MS leaves too to make the pot look full... and rhinestone middles for some bling... the background CS was embossed with sizzix's flower bursts embossing folder (i might be wrong on the name)... and the DPs are from 3bugsinarug's Chloe line (told you i stocked up on those)... the flower pot die is a wonderful SB to have and comes in 5 different sizes (i LOVE it)... i just added this SB to my collection and already have more ideas on using them.... =D

since the flowers are removable, you could probably recycle it for other projects or even use it as cupcake toppers... or be like me and probably hoard the whole thing away in my collection container... hehe!

A simple and quick Thank you!

Hi there!! quickly stopping in on this Wednesday to share a simple and quick Thank you card.... my lil' one isn't feeling the greatest with a slight fever so it's mommy and baby time until he falls asleep... but i had to whip up a thank you card first...
used a freebie from Meljen's Designs (i think this one is only available if your a PCP member, but i can't remember for sure).... this teddy is really cute that i just had to use it... used some of my scrap Doodlebug Funfetti DP with some rick rack ribbon and a few dew drops... oh and bits of stickles glitter on the image... voila! love the burst of colors... very happy thank you card!

Thank you Miss!

Whoops! did i say i was going to post yesterday?! yah i did... sorry, i got caught up with house duties... 4 loads of laundry and i'm still not done... but thank goodness i did most of it as we are having some rain... plus i still have to clean up the kitchen which lately has been an 'extra' storage area... LOL...

well, i said i was going to share another mini pizza box so here it is....
totally different from Monday's one... i didn't do a card on the front this time because i was trying to match this as best as i could to the Thank you card from last week... had some left over scraps so i had to make it work... hehe... pretty close with the same papers and color theme... like the card, i used TGF's Wild Sprout Annika (no longer available) and the 'from me to you' sentiment from TGF's Sweet Message set (also not available).... this will be the end of year gift to DD1's teacher....

i'm telling you... these boxes are so much fun.... you have to try one... you might get addicted.... hehe!

okie dokie... posting late (or early) and it's time to clean up and go to bed... i have a busy wednesday ahead of me and i need all the composure i can possibly get... or in other words... here's my creation using Loretta Angel... i hope she inspires you to get crafty... i used her to make some thank you cards... kept the layout very simple as i had to make a few... reflected on the sketch from TGF FFCB from last week's WOW... i just love the sketch!! sentiment is from Dandelion Designs and i had to add some punched flowers and leaves cause i thought it was just pretty like that... hehe! the papers are so pretty you'll never guess where i found them! on a browsing day to kill time this past weekend we went to Ross'... every now and then i can find good deals in the very tiny crafting section... these pretty papers were found there... it's from We R memory Keepers, the Hoopla line... next time you're in Ross' you'll just have to look.... i actually found a bunch of great papers there... from big companies like DCWV, Making Memories, etc... some are sold as the whole paper stack and some are sold as sampler packs... and cheap too! this is the inside... i used the coordinating paper scraps to add color inside and used the SU! top note die stamped with some mix and match Hero Arts sentiments to complete my cards... now all that's left is to address and send it on it's way....

Bun-Buns!

i'm back again!! this time with a creation for Lollipop Crafts Sponsor Spotlight Thursdays!!! and this week we are spotlighting....
Meljen's Designs! be sure to stop by the LC blog and catch the deets on this whimsy company that offers CUTE designs for any occassion.... here's what i created....
i used Meljen's Cuddle Bun Buddies for my creation today... i like to call them Bun-Buns! for obvious reasons.. hehe! sorry, i wasn't able to make these according to the challenge... i was in desperate rush to make these cards to send them out and used some premade cards i had stashed away and used a bunch of solid CS scraps that i border punched and added to the card.... very simple Thank You cards... with a whole lotta meaning... =D
not sure if you can see it, since it blends in, but i added a mini pom pom for their tails... i just hope it's still on there after it's journey to their next destination... had lots of fun putting these together... simple, no brainer cards, but cute and to the point! ahh, simplicity! hehe!

well, i'm heading on my mini vacay tomorrow and probably won't be posting over the weekend... can't believe it's almost here already!! i've been waiting for this trip for sometime now and super excited to have a "relaxing" time... i quote that because i plan to do some shopping with lots of walking... haha! guess i'll wish you all a wonderful weekend now in case my creation isn't ready for tomorrow... oh, i'll be back later in the AM to share a Happy 1st with you all... i have to wait for the paper to come... =D see yah soon!
