Baby Shower Galore!

My, my, my!!! where has all my time gone?! Is it really Thursday?!? LOL, i've kinda lost track of the days... eek!

i do apologize... i'm sure you'll all be queasy over all my baby shower sharings... hehe! but it's all i've been working on for the last week, and all i've got to share with you for now... busy, busy bee... i'm just hoping that some of my creations will inspire you should you ever need to host a baby shower... so let's get going 'cuz this post has a lot of sharing.... =D
my fingers were so sore after making up these clothespins for one of the games.... i wanted to add those cute plastic safety pin favor thingys to this but decided not to after seeing that the curling ribbon did it's job giving this some color... simple... i like that... haha!
as of last night, i officially finished these fillers... wrapped all 50 pens and put them together in those juice containers i saved up... stuffed the containers with some candy for weight so it doesn't topple over, and then stuffed the pens inside...
with some scraps, i managed to cover up these baby food jars... this is another game to be played and the jars looked really ugly once i took off the labels... it was nice to use my scraps for something... and i'm eager to see if the guest can guess what baby food these are....
here's a game my mom always does... guess how many eggs (candy)??? LOL... yes i'm keeping up with my theme... some what... made a band to give it some color... i still have to add my Mommy Anya stamp to it... but first i have to color her up... right now it looks really plain...
again... theme, theme, theme.... here are some of the prize bags for the games... simply added some DP to make them a little bit cuter...
and last but not least... my washcloth candies.... these were too small to make into lollipops, and because i bought a bunch i didn't want to not use them... so i turned them into little candies (like those peppermint candies) and we'll just scatter them on the tables....

i'm almost done with everything... i think the only thing left is to wrap up the centerpieces... thankfully, there are only 4 so i should whip right through it.... prizes are all wrapped... favors are all done... games are all ready to be played... phew... did i cover my portion of what needed to be done.... although a little stressful in trying to complete the crafty part of my projects, it was fun to create and keep my hands busy... tonight is another night of crafting... this time, i hope to work on my cards.... hehe! but i think i need to clean up my craft room first!! hurricane Kris ran right through it... LOL...

More Baby Shower Things...

Oh my!!! i've been really slacking on posting on my blog.... ahhhh! but for the last week, i think i have a pretty good excuse.... as my baby shower approaches this Sunday, i've been busy busy putting things together.... sorry, for the lack of creations... i didn't have any time to play along with card challenges last week.... =( i'm feeling the withdrawals.... but i did get crafty in other means of creativity... and today i'm ready to share a few with you... so here's what i've been up to.... this pix here is some table fillers we'll have... i didn't make these, i just filled them with some lucky (strawberry flavored) candy... my aunty bought these premade from the craft store... i really wanted to dress them up with more of a baby theme, but time isn't as friendly with me... that's what i get for being so last minute.... haha!

here is one of a different type of table fillers... as in one of my previous post where i had washcloth lollipops inside, we changed it up a bit and are going to use these to hold the pens i've been making... same technique using recycable powder juice containers i've saved up... i covered it up using the DP i used for the invitations... this too is lacking an appropriate dressing, but again, i've just run out of time... maybe at the very last minute i'll be able to get some stamping on here...

this pix is a close up of the pens.... i glued blue bears to the bottom of the pen and used tissue paper (plain and shiny) and wrapped it around the pens... i'm sure you've seen the ones that people have flowers on it, but it is in celebration of a boy and flowers just didn't stick with me... LOL... not for a boy at the least... =D

baby shower favors... i used my sizzix pillow box die to cut out these cute little pillow boxes... again, i kept with the theme and used scraps of the same DP i used for the invites and created me own bands... then we printed some labels thanking those who will be joining us for the shower... and these are filled with chocolate kisses.... SWEET!!! hehe....

we've also been busy wrapping the prizes for the games.... here's a few that i was able to wrap up this weekend... all sorts of prizes that i hope are useful for those that win them... =D

there is still much more to do before the celebration... a few more prizes need to be wrapped... a few more favors need to be made... i ran out of bears for the pens and need to pick up a few more and finish those too... but all in all, everything is coming together really well... i'm super excited! especially to be among family and friends... once i can bump these out of the way, i can get back to card making... i really want to jump from this to that, but priority is the baby shower first!

wow how i've missed you all here in blogland... i know i haven't been the best at keeping up with your blogs lately and commenting, but i'm looking forward to checking out what i've missed once the craziness settles down a bit... please bare with me as i try and get things done... being almost 8 months pregnant with a huge belly, i'm just limited to what i can get done... and of course time plays a huge factor as well.... a few reminders before i head off into my day...

Get Well Soon!!

I really should tell myself that... hehe!!! yesterday was a day of rest... hubby set up the pool for the girls while mommy took it in to just rest and relax... i guess that's what i really needed because the pain under my rib cage has subdued a bit... back pain is still there and i know it won't go away until it's time, but the chest pain was the unbearable this weekend... it had me in tears.... sipped some hot peppermint tea over the weekend to get my mind off the pain and it helped... enough to let me get some cards done... =D

so with all this random pain of happenings, i decided to make some kind of get well card and i came up with this....
had Nurse Nora for a little over 2 months now and finally got the chance to let her shine.... i think she is so sweet... can you believe this is the first time i've ever tried to keep with a blackish/grayish and white theme... totally out of my comfort zone... but i told myself... "hey self, why not try it... if it doesn't work out, you can always stamp another one and give it color!" LOL... i was determined after finding the DP that fit perfectly as my background, the b/w ribbon and pretty shimmery flowers to make it work out... did i do a good job??!!

well... i'm off to another day of volunteer work.... today and tomorrow are the final days of school registration and then i'm done... looking forward to finishing up baby shower things and crafting.... Happy Sunday!! Hope everyone had a wonderful summer weekend!! i tried to, but with so many happenings, it was a bit painful i guess you could say.... but i hid the pain and tried my best to smile and create some cards and low and behold, i have one for you today...

i had the image colored for a few days but only put the card together last night.... it wasn't the best crafting week so i had to work with the time i had... but i couldn't pass up playing the challenge... this card is for LLWWC #47 - black, white + 1 other color.... i would have normally gone with black, white and pink, but this time i chose to go with orange.... this is what i came up with...
i guess i was kinda feeling Halloween colors.... or the fact that i haven't used orange as much lately... either way, orange ruled.... but i do think Fairy Lala looks good in orange... =D

sorry for the hit and run.... back pains are coming back with this uncomfortable chair so it's time to lie back down.... =( always hoping tomorrow is a better day!!! Thanks for stopping in!! i'm still around regardless of the lack of postings.... =D

Wednesday morning calls!! Hello there friends!! This was suppose to go up yesterday, but i was super busy that i could barely get on the internet... eek! but i'm here now to share!

this card was made based on the color combo challenge at Club Anya & Friends - WCW... using similar colors to Lavendar, Kiwi Kiss and Pretty Pink.... yup, all those girly colors... i also used the CA&F Satruday sketch to put my card together and here is the outcome...
i just adore Cheeky's glamorous expression... she was perfect with these colors... i actually fun flocked her boa too... =D the card is clean and simple, but i LOVE the CAS style... and to my surprise, i was chosen as the random winner for this challenge!!! yippppeee!! i was super surprised!

so sorry to hop on out of here quickly... helping out with high school registration at my alumni HS and i'm due there in the next hour.... looks like another busy day... hope to sneak in the craft room once the day settles down... more fab challenges i'm looking forward to playing along with... for now, i wish you all a wonderful day and hope that you'll come back and visit me soon!
