Wooohooo!!! my weekend begins at 4pm today.... oh my i can't wait... LOL... i'm not even ready for Easter yet... i still have to put a few baskets together... and finish up some crafty things to get out... but i had some questions on my washcloth bunnies so i took some pictures of how to put one together... bare with me, my pictures aren't the greatest...
start off with your needed supplies... washcloths, pom poms for the nose and tail, googly eyes, mini rubberbands and ribbon if you like...
layout the washcloth so it forms a somewhat square...
starting at one end, roll beginning at the edge to about the middle of the cloth...
proceed the same on the other end... both ends should meet in the middle...
then, fold together so it becomes one strip....
fold in half like this creating a loop at one end... the loop will be your bunny body...
about a 1/4 from your loose ends is where you are going to form the head and ears...
pinch the middle and fold up towards the body....
secure with the rubber band... it will look like this... now you can adjust the ears to have them point up and so forth... by using clear rubberbands, you don't have to add ribbon if you prefer not to, but if you want some color, why not...
this time i used a low temp glue gun to securely add the eyes, nose and tail... i've also used 2 way tape in the past which is a bit easier to take off the elements.... you know, for those unexpected times you need a washcloth...
do this a few times and you'll have a whole bunch of bunnies hoping around... you can add whatever will fit in the little pocket area like this... because it's Easter, i used plastic Easter eggs... these make quick cute gifts or even favors... it doesn't have to be for Easter... they make great baby shower gifts/favors, or introductions for that special new bundle of joy... maybe even a spring themed wedding.... hey, if you're gonna try this out, definitely send me a link to your creations... i would LOVE to see what you make of these cute bunnies!!! Thanks for coming by today... i'll be back with more BRAKs and some easy Easter treats....
