Dreaming of a blue Christmas

Happy Sunday!!! I hope everyone had a great World Card Making Day! Lots of excitement in the air with holidays right around the corner... and some of the stores here are bringout Christmas items already... can you believe that?!? Halloween didn't even pass us by yet... seeing all the Christmas decos and what not is wanting me to put up my tree a little earlier than usual... but the DH said no! Ha! lol...
Doesn't this card get you into the holiday season?! We don't actually have a winter in Hawaii... we'll get some snow on the top of our mountains but nothing extreme like in the colder areas of the world... our days and nights are cooler and our snow is the rain that comes and goes... okay enough about that... did this card for the Little Paper Shop Challenge #36.... this weeks challenge is to create a non-traditional Christmas card... in simple terms, not to use the traditional colors of red and green... you can use a little, but it cannot be the main colors of your card.. get it?! if not, don't forget to hop onto the blog and gets the rules and view some amazing creations by the DT... you will not be disappointed!

and here's my card to show you! dug up some of my Christmas stamps and fiddled on what i wanted to use... then i remembered i had this great DPs in my paper stash that would be perfect for a non-traditional card... used some snowy and snowflake paper in blues... punched out some snowflakes using my Marvy punch... some delicate Christmas ribbon which the print is actually hidden behind my focal point... brushed some Stickles GG - Diamonds onto the snowflakes, and a little onto the falling snow on the Snowman image.. colored Mr. Snowman in a peppermint green and bluish grey color... and voila! my blue Christmas... although i love a traditional Christmas, i sure LOVE a whimsical Christmas too... TFL!
