Embossing with a twist!

Hiya!!! this comes a bit late but i hope you'll excuse my tardiness! was trying to get this up on time but not only am i having general computer issues, the internet kept kicking me out last night!! on the edge of tears i tell you... my poor hubby has been trying his hardest the last few weeks to restore and repair my laptop without having to do a hard boot... he's got it running for me to do the 'main' things i need to but it's still acting a little weird.... he said i might have fried my hard drive... WAAAAHHHH!! my laptop is less than a year old... guess i'll have to be an extremely good girl and hope Santa either fixes this one for me or gets me a new one.... LOL... i can dream right?!

anyway, i was finally able to upload pix, tweak it and get on blogger without the internet restarting... YAY!! so i bring you my creation for Lollipop Crafts Challenge #57 - Embossing with NO designer papers... would someone scream for me? hehehe, not using designer/patterned papers can be a difficult challenge, but i found a way to work through.... as far as the embossing part of the challenge, you can use any type of embossing... heat, folders, stencils etc... as long as we can see it!

Just Some Lines is our sponsor this week offering a super sweet prize to ONE LUCKY challenge participant this week! Check out the wonderful collections in the store... i'm sure you'll find something that catches your crafty bug... and now onto my card....
our local craft store had it's 40% off coupon this weekend and debating on things i should use it on, i spied this awesome new craft toy... it's a stamp and emboss set from Sizzix and Hero Arts... you stamp your paper, and then align the image in the embossing folder and emboss it... so cool and there were a few designs to choose from but this floral wreath caught my eye... can't see from the horrible picture i took but there are words in the background... it's a "thank you" with definitions and other words like grateful, etc... i simply covered the entire stamp with Memento Angel Pink and then used Memento Rose Bud dual pen to highlight the flowers... also used a Studio G sentiment (Thanks!) inked up with Memento Rose Bud and stamped it in the center of the wreath (that area is blank)... and some rhinestones for a hint of bling! easy card that can be done in 10-15 minutes... depending on how you vision working with this stamp... =D
close up to show you the embossing... don't mind that i didn't align it correctly... LOL... this was my first try at this new toy... hehehe! but do you see that the flowers pop?! a reason why i wanted to highlight them with a darker shade....

so, as you can see, this challenge can actually be very easy... hop on over to Lollipop Crafts and get all the details on this challenge and how to play along... while there, go and get a taste of some sweetness from the A Team and be inspired to join us this week!

alright, time for me to head on out.... got some postings scheduled for this week so i hope you'll stick around with me... and now, back to crafting.... last craft fair this sunday (more details soon) and the prep is endless... or so it seems... =D but i LOVE it! toodles!
